Big fan of man without fear.

Joining here to find a fantastic game. New to PbP, but have some F2F experience.

I played a campaign of D&D 4e from level 1 to 3, and another campaign of Savage World with homebrew setting.

Ethan Park

Ethan isn't shy at all. He's not shameless. He likes to start off a situation like this so that rest can follow his example. Ethan stood up and faced the crowd to the back of the podium. Caleb and few other counselors are staring at him as Ethan has done something unthinkable.

"Hello, everyone. My name is Ethan Park. I will be in charge of the cabin #2 as a counselor. For those of who are not familiar with the numbering system of the cabin, the cabin is the farthest east cabin. I am extremely excited to be here. I will do my best to anyone who would like to plan the future during this stay in camp so that they can face the hardship of the world. I may not have the most life experience, but I learned how to plan from one of the best."

Ethan had courses in career development as a minor in his education program. It was situated in the building houses many psychology research center and library, where he spent some time during the exam season. For some odd reason, the library in the psychology building was quite. Also, the professor who taught those classes were authoritative on that subject, even invited to the TedTalk.

Hey, First Hunting Party.

What's up? I haven't seen any update for "in character" for few days.

Is everyone ok?
Yan-Took

All Yan-took wants is a simple meal. And these horned rabbits will fill his hungry belly. After all, it is not a goblin, therefore it does not need a sympathy from a goblin. He wants meat and he will hunt.

Yan-took is still waiting for the response of his hunting party. Yan-took justifies himself in a logic that if all goblins agree to hunt, he will need to position himself in a good place. Yan-took will move away in left to circle widely around to cut off these tasty prey if they try to escape.

Yan-took whispers to his brethren what they will do "Ready to hunt?"
@rbwls8028

I placed a poll and separate group's won. Maybe you misread A group with The group because regardless everyone is going in partners I should say.

Awesome. Thank you for clarification.

@Acid Hippie Is Tsku still going with Yan-took?
Yan-Took

Seems like all the goblin that wanted to volunteer have done so. Yan-took leaves the village with few other goblins with their weapon of choices. He can already fill the comradery forming.

Yan-took wants to take off before other goblin protested about not forming a proper hunting party. But Yan-took instinctively knew that if he were to go with a too large party, their chance at even finding a game would be substantially lowered. After all, stealth is the key to a successful hunt. Or the innate ability of Tsku who would draw out timid prey to him like a legend of the siren in the ocean. But Yan-took knows nothing of this forest. Too far from where he was from, this forest was not as sparse. More trees provided better concealment for the likes of him, but if he cannot navigate back to the village, there was no point in leaving. The goblin who said he knows the forest around would be an asset to the hunting party, along with his small stature to conceal him.

But the opinion of the group mattered too. They were, after all, a family now. Yan-took considered few things. If he can convince that Tsku takes the point in the hunting group, not all animal might run away from the group. That, in turn, might give few goblin brethren to sneak around the animal, effectively cutting off the retreating passage.

Yan-took follows the trail of the group with slight discomfort of not having enough food in the stomach and carrying his club for an extended period of time on his right shoulder.
alright that's 5 separate and 1 group. even waiting for cali and rbwl wouldn't matter because majority wins, you shall all go your separate ways.

I am moving this week though so please be patient ill get a post up by the end of the week

I wanted to go as a small group too, so no problem there.

But IC, goblins are saying they want to go in a group. I don't understand what's going on now. Did I miss read posts?
May I have some information regarding this hunting ground? what type of animal/monster lurks there and general description of terrain, please?
Ethan Park

Ethan left Caleb after they cleaned up the Wiki Wiki Fire Ring and built the campfire to gather his belonging in his car. Ethan then went to claim a bed in his cabin. The cabin #2 was occupied some of the lazier campers as they were forced to choose the camp that wasn't occupied. Ethan Unloaded his belonging on the bed closest to the door which was still empty at that point. Then Ethan gathered up those stragglers and went on to the journey to Wiki Wiki Fire Ring.

When Ethan arrives at the campfire, his campers scramble off to their own clique. Some of cabin #2 members already have friends as they have left the group to find their friends. Seeing what's left of his cabin members generate an awkward lump of a group around far end of the amphitheater near the entrance, Ethan left them to their own device. After all, he will be on to them to make a healthy habit of earnest lifestyle for next few weeks. They can have tonight as the last night of their freedom. And tomorrow, every one of his campers will be up by 6 AM to face the bright day ahead.

Ethan finds Caleb and few other counselors near the campfire. Ethan goes to Caleb and casually asks him "Seems like Campmaster is late." forming frown on his face.
Ethan followed Caleb to what is called Wiki Wiki Fire Ring. He remembered that even though Riley is clearly the most senior of the counselors, he wasn't sure of the schedule that happened annually. Maybe Ethan can help them out in disarray. A bonfire sounded very cliche but Ethan would be also stumped if he needed to come up with a plan to introduce everyone for such gathering. And Riley sounded not enthusiastic at all. He sounded as if he is dealing with the dirtiest chore man could devise up. Maybe his initial assessment was wrong and counselors are indeed what stereotypes were painted them to be.

Ethan might learn a way around by either taking boating or hiking for tomorrow, shadowing a counselor who knew his or her way around the camp. It may become productive for Ethan.... Hopefully. But there's an uncertain that Ethan is feeling about the demeanor of Riley when he mentioned about tomorrow's activity. Ethan thinks that it might be a hazing for a newcomer like himself. Though it is possible that with his attitude, it might not be a spectacular prank as it requires plans and work, which Riley doesn't have much of.

This far away from the camp, and deep in the forest that casts a long shadow even in the early afternoon, some people might not like the idea of spending time here. After all, isolation is a rare feeling that people feels, as they are ever so connected to the phones and screen or socialize.

Ethan had such experience in prolonged period time where he was stuck in more or less isolation. When he was young, he spent summer in a monastery where they kept a copy of few books about Buddhism and history of "Goryeo," the predecessor of "Joseon" and height of Buddhism Influence in Korea. He spent a month among silent monks and without them speaking back to him, most of their actions were autonomous around him and Ethan enjoyed silence monks provided.

With that thought, Ethan cleaned up fire ring with Caleb. At least there's a decent human being with a sense of responsibility in his mind. A rare breed these days, Ethan though. "So," Ethan asks Caleb "Who is this boogeyman suppose to be?" Not that Ethan believed such a thing, but a leader believes in such superstition usually causes a bad decision with their belief in illogical superstition when stakes are implemented. It is better to know now and come up with a contingency plan for whatever ridiculous legends these woods provided to every imaginative child, or in this case child in grown-ups' body.
Yan-took knows that he may need to heal small scratches and bruises that he sustained while he was running away. But first, he thought, it may be wise to spare some of the able-bodied goblins to hunt or gather enough food now, since there are 5 more goblins to feed, including himself. He checked what he had on him. It wasn't much as he just ran when he noticed that his tribe was being attacked. He only had a makeshift club that he made with sturdy wood. Nothing impressive, but it still killed few hares and turkeys. He might have more luck waiting in blinds than it should have been possible for a beginner hunter. But the thought of past brought an anguish to Yan-took.

His home..... Gone.....

Not the best time to dwell in what is gone, but Yan-took cannot easily shake off his grief and anger. He needs to channel his emotions into something productive. Yes. Hunting would be nice. Hunting would sate his anger and full stomach will lull him to sleep. Then with those two gone, he would grieve wholehearted, without distractions.

"My name is Yan-took. Is there anyone who wants to go hunt with me?"
