I'm about to start writing an adventure for an in-person game, but in the meantime I want to get some online rp, it's been awhile.

History/Backstory: I come from a world that seems pretty normal. This extra-dimensional stuff was a wild surprise, mostly to the invaders; apparently normal gravity and molecular density is pretty intense in other dimensions. I came into possession of a dimension jump device, and quickly learned that the weaker gravity and lower density of matter basically made me a superhuman, by comparison! I never had a chance to be the tough guy, before, so combined with not knowing my own strength, I uh, kinda went nuts, and broke some things.
I got caught when I tried to play hero, and some of the "things" I broke were very expensive machines, and people with important names. How was I supposed to know? The guys who hired me swore "His Eminence" was a baby eating monster, and looking like a big bug, I wasn't prepared to argue. My former colleagues also neglected to mention my device was several kinds of illegal, not that the "murder/homicide" wasn't going to put me away, for awhile.
I guess I made my mistakes, and I have to pay for them... But I don't understand what it means when people in this joint call me "Purple Drank"(somebody said its the hair and eyes? I guess color works differently in here...)

why'd I make an RP when I knew i'd be busy?

Anyways, I have decided to drop the idea of multiple characters per person and am currently choosing from an unsorted pile of characters to choose for mine.

You guys can go ahead and submit a character sheet for your prisoner, just put it here, I'll review it, and put it in the characters tab when ready. After I get a sheet from everyone who is participating, I will then get to work on the starting post.

Also, @RickyG85, it was partially sincere and partially a joke. I am considering you as Co-GM since I barely know what I'm doing and I think you know a bit more than I do....

Other than that, I think this should go smoothly from now on.

Sounds good. I wouldn't say I'm especially good at running games, but, I don't need to be co-gm to give advice if you ever think you need it.

I don’t think forcing people to play two characters is a good idea. Especially for an RP in Free Roleplay section. It’s more for a casual Roleplay.
It’ll spread people to thin and lead to burn out.

Ok, here me out-

Don't make something optional where it will create problems; everyone would be required to do both, realistically, because just one or two players playing as guards? Within the setting, these players now have the clear advantage over players who aren't doing that, which could provide some easy conflict, but could also just make the game fall apart due to PVP.

tl;dr: I think that's a bad idea.
