So, um... What kind of races are available? Or is any playable race from previous FF's fair game?

Anyways, considering... Maybe Fighter, Monk or Red mage I guess, if the latter two are allowed. XD

@Rin No, healing spells are allowed. There's no magic like Death, Doom, or revival magic. Ultima, Holy and Meteor are all off limits for plot reasons, and summoners don't exist. As for summons, they are a plot thing as well, but they get introduced almost immediately out the gate. However, there's a requirement that needs to be met to unlock them. After all, they are sentient, though exist in a plane where mortals cannot see them.

Right-oh, that's basically what I expected. Just wanted to make sure. XD So I guess all I really need to do now is figure out which class to go for... Hmmm.

On that note, one thing that kind of confuses me a bit is when people have half of their post be "what if" scenarios. Like, um, "If X happens I do Y, if Z happens I do W, if A happens I do B", etc. etc. I've only seen a couple of people do it but it's... I dunno, part of me feels it kind of misses the point of roleplaying being all about reacting to stuff rather than preparing for every eventuallity in advance.

I mean sure, pre-planning things you're going to do in advance is all well and fine, but this is ridiculous.

@ShurikaiI dunno, some of the games let you use lower level summons like Chocobos and fairies and stuff rather than immediately starting off with minor gods. XD Going to admit I'm pretty confused by the whole "no healing spells" thing though.

Let's see, what else... Any notable restrictions on classes? Since for example some games put a lot more importance on summoners whilst others just have them as another class.

Hmmm... So is this going to be straight-up fantasy like the older FFs, or more a mix of fantasy and sci-fi like some of the later ones?

Yeah, that's kind of dumb. I mean the way they say that kind of thing implies that you'd believe in a higher power, which is kind of the exact opposite of atheism. Mind you, the most well known "Church of Satan" (the one set up by Anton Lavey) is in fact an atheistic philosophy but I doubt that's what they meant there.
