@jynmi88Okays, got something typed up I guess. Ended up just going with "generic shonen protagonist" for her personality but oh well, if it works it works. Hope it's okay. ^^;

• Name: Danica Pohlig
• Alias: Hachimaki
• Age: 16
• Appearance: Something like this!
• Personality: Bubbly and hyperactive, it seems as though Danica can't sit still for even a moment. She's pretty hotblooded and overemotional at times, and... Also admittedly a bit of an idiot. Well, it would be more accurate to say she's just simpleminded and doesn't worry too much about complicated concepts, although the fact remains that she's also not especially well educated. Still, she's full of boundless enthusiasm and a surprisingly strong sense of justice for a pirate, as whilst she pursues her dream of finding One Piece she also believes that those who would trample upon the dreams of others are the lowest of scum and need to be punished.
• Background: As a young girl, Danica's mother would often regail her with tales of Gold Roger, and his daring escapades as he made his name as the Pirate King. As one would expect, with the Golden Age of Piracy going on at the time this made the simpleminded girl obsessed with becoming a pirate (even if she didn't quite understand what that entailed) and finding the final legacy left by Gold Roger, the legendary One Piece. So one day, with nothing but the clothes on her back and the headband her mother had given her as a keepsake, she went off and joined the first pirate crew she could find as their cabingirl. Unfortunately for her, the crew of Captain Barrett were infamous for all the wrong reasons, being quite frankly the worst pirates to ever sail East Blue. But still, the girl was popular and became somewhat of a mascot to her crewmates, who'd nicknamed her "Hachimaki" after the headband she always wore, and on the fateful day that their ship was sunk she was tossed into a lifeboat with some food they'd found on their latest expedition in order to save her. Not soon afterwards, she discovered that the crew's final adventure had uncovered a legitimate treasure, one of the rare Devil Fruits... Although she only realized this after she'd eaten it. With her newfound powers and the help of another crewmember she'd escaped with, Danica decided that she was going to go find One Piece herself and bring honour to her old crew!
• Abilities:
  • Bounce-Bounce Fruit: Danica has eaten the Bounce-Bounce Fruit (Pyon-Pyon no Mi?), a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that, rather like the Gum-Gum Fruit, gives the body of whoever eats it the properties of rubber. However, in this case the rubber in question is hard, firm and not particularly stretchy, but is instead rather bouncy. The most obvious usage of this fruit's power is performing incredibly high and long jumps, even from a standing position, and allowing the user to ricochet off walls, ceilings and floors to increase both height and momentum. In addition, due to being made of rubber the user is practically immune to blunt force and electrical attacks.
  • Brawling: Danica fights with her bare hands and feet, having learned how to fight in various scuffles whilst with her old crew. Her technique is unrefined, but she can still hold her own against untrained opponents, and using her Devil Fruit powers can potentially get the drop on more accomplished fighters if she actually thinks things through.
  • Cooking: Whilst she's admittedly not the greatest cook ever, Danica's skills in the kitchen are good enough to make the need for a dedicated cook be a low priority for the time being.
• Techniques: Due to having only very recently gained her powers, Danica doesn't have many techniques figured out as of yet. The only one she really has worked out at the moment is the Space Hopper, where she simply uses her bounciness to leap high into the air before bringing herself crashing down on an opponent.

Not entirely sure if I'll be able to join, but if I do and I don't go with something original I might do something like an amazon or Princess Amethyst III or something. Something somewhat fantasy based I guess because I have a soft spot for DC's fantasy stuff. But we'll see how things turn out.

Ignite Heart! A Magical Girl RP

Attempt number two! I think this one turned out a lot better, really. Been literally years since I last played the amnesia card though (I think that was about three forums ago too), but yeah. Naturally, I've discussed a lot of this with Vita so hopefully it works out better than the last character I made (at the very least, I think it's less embarrassingly bad) so here we go.

Rei

• Name: Rei Higanbana
• Magical Girl Title: Southern Cross
• Age: 16... Possibly. She's not entirely sure herself.
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: Not much different from her magical girl appearance, really, aside from wearing a cheap, plain sweater and skirt.
• Magical Girl Appearance: Something like this.
• Personality: Whilst she can seem a bit distant at times, Rei isn't really as antisocial as she might first come off as. She's actually a bit shy, and speaks in a soft, quiet voice that betrays her insecurities just a little. Rei is perfectly willing to socialize, however, although she tries to choose her words carefully and thus doesn't always say as much as she wants to. She sometimes seems a little distant, though, most likely due to her inability to remember her past or just why she became a magical girl in the first place. When she is a magical girl, though, she's a bit... Louder, and more violent, and has been known to be especially brutal towards Negari. It's abundantly clear that she utterly despises Negari, although even she isn't sure what causes her to hate them with such intensity.
• Skills: Aside from her ability to fight, Rei doesn't really have many notable skills. She's not exactly dumb but she's not the smartest magical girl out there either, and she only shows average talent for most things she tries. The exception is cooking, something she picked up alarmingly quickly whilst trying to pay back the people who gave her somewhere to stay; she's an excellent cook, and whatever she makes tends to taste absolutely delicious.
• Abilities: Southern Cross is never going to win any awards for being the fastest magical girl around, as she moves with a relatively lumbering pace. Her lack of swiftness is compensated for by the fact that her durability and especially her strength are much higher than that of the average magical girl, to the point that she's probably faster simply jumping from place to place rather than running. Her set of special attacks is as follows:
  • Steel Cyclone: Southern Cross holds out her hammer and spins like a top, sending any enemies unlucky enough to be near her flying off into the distance. After about ten seconds, though, she starts to get a bit dizzy and queazy, losing her balance and leaving her disorientated for a few moments afterwards.
  • Ray Star: Southern Cross charges electrical energy in her hammer before giving it a mighty swing, tossing out a ball of lightning that explodes on contact. It's not very long ranged, however, and the ball will simply dissipate into nothing if it doesn't hit anything after flying for about ten meters.
  • Tectonic Break: Southern Cross raises her hammer to the sky before bringing it crashing down to the ground, causing the earth to quake and and mighty fissure to open up in front of her. This is her most powerful attack at the moment, although the fact that it's so obviously telegraphed and takes a relatively long time to pull off leaves her pretty open whilst using it.
• Weapon(s): Cross Purpose, a collosal hammer that is so heavy most magical girls can barely even budge it. It's a testament to Rei's physical strength that she can swing it about as though it was nothing.
• Brief History: The girl now known as "Rei Higanbana" is a girl without a past. The first thing she can remember is washing up on the shores of Umitori City, bereft of any memories from her life previous to this, the only things even hinting at who she was beforehand being the fact that she was a magical girl and her seemingly overwhelming hatred for the Negari. Even she is not sure how she become a magical girl or why she hates the Negari so much, and the one person who could possibly answer these questions, her fairy, is nowhere to be found. Currently, she lives in a small family-run inn that gave her a free room after she saved their youngest daughter from a Negari attack, and splits her time between fighting as a magical girl and trying to uncover any clues about her past she can find. However, she's constantly plagued by nightmares when she sleeps, terrible dreams of an infinite blackness threatening to devour her, and an unearthly figure she does not recognize but who paralyzes her with fear...
• Fairy: Rei's fairy is mysteriously absent, and most likely missing. Whilst Rei is searching for information as to her whereabouts, this is somewhat hampered by the fact that she can remember neither her name, her appearance or anything else about her.

Master

• Name: Seffora Arcuballista
• Age: 17
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: Whee.
• Personality: Overly confident nearly to the point of arrogance, and a bit of a showboat, Seffora is immensely proud of her magical prowess and not exactly shy about showing it. This can tend to rub some people the wrong way, but she doesn't really let that get to her. She's perpetually cheerful and optimistic, albeit a bit ditzy at times; she has a short attention span and finds it hard to really focus on things outside out of her interests, which are mostly cute girls and lasers. As she herself says, "lasers are a girl's best friend!". Really, she just wants people to see how great she is, and to recognize her for her talents, which is why she practically jumped at the chance to be a part of this endeavour.
• Skills: Besides being a skilled mage, Seffora is also a talented cook and doesn't have as much problems with modern technology as other mages. However, she's also small and not exactly the most physical of people, relying more on her mana reserves than her physical prowess and can easily be overpowered in close-quarters.
• Abilities:
  • Magecraft: Seffora's elemental affinity is Air, and she possesses a moderate amount of high quality magic circuits. Despite being a decently skilled mage, Seffora is not very good at Formalcraft, as she relies far more on her own naturally high mana reserves than any kind of ritual-based magecraft.
  • Notable Spells: Whilst she is rather skilled at several forms of magecraft, due to her high mana reserves Seffora has a tendency to focus mostly on blasts of mana. Her three favourite spells are Twinkle Laser (a small, fast beam of energy that can be fired rapidly), Sparkle Laser (a larger, more powerful beam) and Shining Laser (a far larger and stronger beam than even Sparkle Laser, which quickly drains even Seffora's mana reserves when used). These aren't actually the real names of these spells, but Seffora insists that her names are better.
  • Gandiva Simulacrum: A Mystic Code made in the image of the legendary Arjuna's Gandiva, although naturally nowhere near as powerful. By channeling their mana through it, the user is able to create arrows of light, and although only one can be shot at a time it has exceptionally long range and can pierce several targets at once.
• History: The Arcuballistas are an old family of mages from Britain, who during the days of the British Raj spent a lot of time in India studying the mystical beliefs of the natives. Even back then, many of the more traditional mages found this distasteful, feeling they had been "polluted" by outside influences, but their standing was still high enough that no-one tried to directly confront them about this. Over the years, they moved about the Asian continent, studying different forms of magecraft and consorting with various sources considered heretical by the Mage Association, with some unconfirmed rumours claiming they may have had some connections with the Theosophical Society of Helena Blavatsky for some time. Still, whilst the more conservative sector of the association secretly wished to see their line's demise, during the late 20th century an upsurge of more radical thinkers began to find themselves a voice in the halls of the Clock Tower, none more prominent than the new Lord El-Melloi. Thanks to this, and the magical prowess of their latest scion Seffora, they have found a place for themselves with only a relatively small threat of being executed by the traditionalists. Seffora herself practically embodies their place in the world of mages, as whilst many of the younger radicals are rather fond of her (despite some of her more abrasive tendencies), the older mages aren't exactly keen on her and only really put up with her because of how talented a mage she is. Nevertheless, she was still put forward for this project by one of her older teachers, who assured her that such an important task was best handled by someone with her natural talent... Whilst they secretly hoped that the danger of the mission would lead to her having an unfortunate accident and never being seen again.

• Appearance: "Lovely you and lonely me, let us dream together."

• Noble Phantasms: Nursery Rhyme: A Tale For Somebody's Sake: A Reality Marble embodying the concept of nursery rhymes, fairy tales and children's fables, a gateway to Caster's inner world; although Caster herself is a product of this Reality Marble, creating an infinite loop where there is no beginning or end, just like the very concepts she embodies. Without fully activating it, she is able to pull concepts from this inner world and use them in the real world, basically turning fantasy into reality; due to a past encounter, however, she is especially fond of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, and so often pulls concepts and characters from the Alice books. This includes card soldiers, griffons, mock turtles, and most dangerous of all the manxome Jabberwock. She also has the ability to call forth the Nameless Forest, but due to how dangerous it is to both friend and foe she is rather reluctant to do so. Invoking the name of the Noble Phantasm will fully activate the Reality Marble, unleashing Caster's inner world and transforming the surrounding area into a facsimile of Wonderland itself, a world built on the nursery rhymes and fairy tales, a dreamlike land where nothing is ever as it first appears. Caster is almost like the queen of this whimsical reality, and as such can instantly summon multiple beings from the stories and poems that she is the embodiment of. However, like all childhood fantasies, the Reality Marble is ephemeral and fleeting, and will eventually collapse and return the world to its usual state.
• Personality: Polite and cheerful, but also childlike in her view of the world. She tends to be rather friendly to others and can be quite the chatterbox sometimes, and seems to find it hard to show malice towards others, even her supposed enemies. As the Heroine of Children, she cares deeply about children and one of the few ways to make her angry is to upset or hurt them; it doesn't need to be physically either, as there are certain other Heroic Spirits she despises due to the stories they wrote as humans. She also can't stand bullies, and isn't afraid to make this fact abundantly clear. Despite having the identity of "Nursery Rhyme", the embodiment of her namesake, she insist on being called "Alice" instead, and occasionally refers to herself as such in the third person. Even though she claims to hate bad ends and love happy endings, she seems perfectly fine with actually fighting; it's possible that her childlike innocence doesn't entirely grasp the concept leading to her seeing it as a game and her battles simply being playing with the others. She is especially fond of tea parties and will often try to set one up when left to her own devices.
• Other: Utterly adorable and precious and is in fact the best Caster ever.

This isn't helped by the fact that she's a little bit misanthropic, her poor treatment in the past causing her to distrust humans despite wanting to be one herself. She's extremely mindful of energy conservation, and has a compulsive habit of switching off lights and electronic equipment when no-one else is in the room.
