I know it’s a forum site, but it’d still be nice to know when someone is writing vs just viewing your thread.

I think it’s less “retro-future” and more of a joke about how SDN is a corporate stereotype. They can invest the money on larger than life superheroes, advertising, and PR, but God-forbid they throw the office workers a bone and upgrade the tech. Haha.
I feel like I should ask...
The Dispatch-universe is pretty open-ended as far as prior events, right? Not much set in stone there?

As far as we know. I’m not sure if concrete dates are given (so SOMEONE please correct me if I’m wrong), but all we know is that Mecha-Man has been around for about five decades, and at some point around fifteen years before the game is when Shroud killed Mecha-Man 2.

Edit: And Phenomaman worked at a Nordstrom before becoming a hero.
Any idea on a max participants limit?

I haven’t given that much thought as of now, but It’ll likely be considered once I see how much engagement/quality of applications the RP gets overall.
@RisingRobin

Hope you're on the mend and all is well!

I hope they can do karaoke good

Actually it was my wife. TL;DR out of the country and she got food poisoning. She’s fine. Just got sick and we had to find a doctor last minute.
Quietly sweeps my magnet based dispatcher under the rug

It’s cool. I wanted to make a fire guy anyway.

IC is live. There’s not much there right now, but I’ll be fleshing it out in the coming days!

Welcome Heroes, Dispatchers, Phoenixes, and all other staff to SDN Claremont! Are you an aspiring hero ready to make a change in the world? A former villain turning his or her life around? Maybe you want to become an SDN legend like Phenomaman or Blonde Blazer? Great! Maybe with a few more years and a promotion you might make it to downtown SDN someday!

Claremont isn’t all that bad. Sure we don’t have a TON in the way of crime or anything, but there’s plenty of room for growth at our SDN branch. Between talented office workers, strong heroes, and a… erm AHEM “robust” Phoenix Program, Claremont is a perfect place to launch your career as a hero!

Located just East of Downtown L.A. our Claremont office has everything you need to get started. The “City of Trees and PHDs” as it were may not have the flashiest of crime, but between seven colleges, a bustling downtown, and even our wilderness park you’ll always have some work as a hero to keep you busy! We’ve even just put out a call for new talent! Of course, you’ll have to make sure you meet your quota as well…

Hero

Are you a first time hero looking to make your mark? Maybe you've been active for awhile and are looking for a change? You may even be one of those hopefuls who think you can run with DTLA. If this applies to you, then Claremont is the place to be. We have open tryouts regularly and unlike SOME SDN branches, we’re willing to look past your powers and see what use you can do regardless. We believe even un-powered civilians can make a difference! Looking at you, Mecha-Man! (Disclaimer: SDN Claremont does NOT encourage non-powered civilians to apply without SIGNIFICANT assistance)

Phoenix Program

For those of you joining us from the “other side” of the law, you’ll find a place in the Phoenix Program. Due to a decline in employment for heroes since the Brave Brigade incident, you’re being brought in to fill the gaps in our lineup. Not only will you get a chance to actually do some good with your lives, but if you do well… we may look into commuting your sentences. Be aware that if you have criminal history, you'll be required to submit to annual screenings and drug tests to ensure you aren't backsliding. We've learned a lot since Torrance's issues with the bat guy...

Office Staff

Lastly, we have our core team of office workers, managers, sales reps, R&D, and - of course - our dispatchers. These are the people who form the backbone of SDN and ensure the office runs smoothly throughout the workday. From simple tasks like keeping the office clean to providing crucial field support for the heroes; it’s these folks who are the REAL heroes. Just like in Downtown, much of our staff is made of former heroes themselves! They just never quite hit the big time (Or made it at all). Nevertheless, get to know these folks. They’ll be there when no one else is!

With all that said, we can't wait to have you join us at SDN Claremont, Future Hero! We’ll be glad to have you!

I’m gonna start working on the IC post tonight so everyone can get started! Happy final two chapter drop! NO SPOILERS PLEASE!
@Silver Carrot So Phoenix Program. Noted.
Heads up y’all, but I am going to be traveling for a couple of days so I’m not going to have anything substantial posted right away. Should have something ready to go at least by the last two episodes dropping.
