Kylmi was not afraid of death, it was the method of dying that terrified her.

Her kind either surrendered to the earth in a willful decomposition, or petrified into trees, becoming literal protectors of all forests and the lives therein. But for the Fernium, it was much, much more different. Their souls perished much more slowly, clinging to life as animals do whilst the plant withered and died without reflection, even if the body was gone, their spirits searched and bound endlessly through time until the forest took them as specters and watchers, always unwillingly. It wasn't an easy decision, even when presented with a third option, and Kylmi could never bring herself to decide even in the dark of her would be grave. All things died, even if she was nearly a century old, and all things went back to their mothers, but was it so selfish to want to live on forever?

Her distorted thoughts were disrupted by a new pain, tempered and soothing compared to the iron, but none the less bringing her affront into conscious thought. She winced around her poisoned tongue and watched in a morbid fascination as her infected blood: green, dark, and sluggish, slowly began to boil and fester within the limited pocket of her arthropod's occulus. When the eye exploded, she gasped along with his screech and finally felt the strength and will to move her body, just enough for her to sit up as the lizard approached her, his rasp of a voice inquiring to her state even if his movements suggested slight inebriation. Kylmi did not have the voice though to deny or reject him, she would sooner trust this strange concoction than the ones the dark elf notified them of. Anything of this dungeon she did not want. The warning of the taste didn't prepare her, it made her lips curl and she sputtered at the peculiar tang that settled across her mouth, her claws curled into her palms and she willed herself to remain still as he tended to her. Scaly palms smoothed over her skin, parted by spots of fur and vegetation, and she shuddered at the contact, having become accustomed to her days of torture. But whatever it was that he spilled from his pouch and blended into her flesh, it worked wonders against her iron venom, eating away at the infection just like he advertised. Her green eyes, no longer webbed with death, lingered upon his snout and she inclined her head, antlers cast down.

It was her way of a silent thanks, a submission that indebted herself to the creature. Kylmi would return these favours, this she vowed silently to herself.

When the half-elf proffered over the blue vial, she accepted it with a quiet stare and turned to face her protector.

"You foolish love," Her voice rang with appreciation despite her scolding scowl, lips twisted in a fine grimace. Her hands hesitated, uncertain of where to begin in his condition. She glanced up at the pocket that once was his eye and then towards the battered ligament dismembered by what she could only assume was their former foe. Kylmi gathered her gradually bundling strength and gestured from the vial, to his mouth and very slowly, so as not to alarm, began climbing up his body. Their height differences were staggering, Kylmi herself shorter by nearly half his incredible stance which required her to scale his frame. She was careful of her foot placements and perched on his shoulder, willing some of the poultice into his mouth and inspected the depth of his wounded eye, she shook her crown of antlers and tines.

"Next time, don't be so risky, you can't afford that." Her eyes fell on the brand upon his brow and she tipped her head, gently tracing it with her clawed digits. "Nine," she murmured and wondered then what kind of pain this beast had endured, and if it had been similar to her own. Though she grew curious by it, the setting was inappropriate for such invasive inquires, so she gradually began to descend down from his shoulder, her eyes scoping out the surroundings as the elf and lizard began to speak about rocks and vanished down the hall. Her brow quirked and she glanced around, not seeing any though in this sort of environment, one could not be certain. So Kylmi jumped down the rest of the way and landed precariously on her clawed toes, wincing slightly from the lingering pain that was still managing to work itself from her body. She needed the sunlight to heal quickly and though she wasn't favouring of the prince in the slightest bit, she couldn't deny that he was the only way for her to leave this dark, hellish memory behind her.

Kylmi gradually began to follow, mindful of her limitations and gestured for 9 to follow after her with a sweep of her arm, she felt burdened for him to continue to carry her and with the reptile's remedy, she had the strength to at least manage walking on her own. It was a bit of strain, considering the shape of her feet that forced her to walk on her toes, and without her wears that usually helped in such a manner, she had to make due with bracing one of her hands against the wall to make it her temporary crutch. The tolling alarm made her teeth clench and ears to fall back, wounded and assaulted by the crippling sounds, only to further be assuaged by the screams of victims. Her heart flexed, squeezed, bled out emotionally with the reminders of her time in the cell creeping up along her spine like a infectious serpent. Her saunter down the passageway halted at the sound of a voice, almost drowned out by the sharp rings of the summoning bell, her sensitive ears perked up at it and very reluctantly she followed, stepping over bodies with a faint tremor in her arms and hugging close to herself as she found the bastard of a prince merely sitting, pondering.

Dressed down in meager armour that was barely fitting, giving his status, Kylmi vaguely wondered how he could keep on going despite his obvious infliction. Not that she cared, she told herself, clamping down her hiss and letting it growl away in her throat as she stood opposite of him in this secret passage, her eyes drifting carelessly, observing and impatient. She felt crushed and caged by the stone and now revitalized by her former healer, she felt the creeping ascent of her bestial nature, it made her mouth ache along with her teeth and her hands constantly flexed against her arms in random intervals of transitioning fear. Kymi had never felt so catastrophic and with her having nearly died only minutes before [what felt like hours now] she was long exhausted of her occupancy in this dungeon and with it, made a silent promise to tear down anymore opposition - even if the entire garrison fell upon her.
Working on a post now, sorry for the delay. I took today to be my rest day from work and everything.
Mag Fact: She never learned how to cook and never has attempted to. She can however, bake, and learned from her father for the entire sake of her own sweet tooth.

And we'll try not to miss you too much, Ten. Hurry back though.

The part about the popcorn is based on what really happened to me. I still have no idea how I did it... I just put the popcorn bag into the microwave and followed the instructions, but I still burnt half the popcorn and left the other half unpopped... twice, in two different microwaves. It's a talent :)

How in the... Wow.
Anyways, check your PMs!

You too, Ex!

Posted, but I don't know... Medical knowledge was not in her bio, so I can totally take that part out if it seems wrong or something o.o. I think Nessa will probably stick with the group too

Seems spot on to me. Kylmi just needs to get in her natural element and she'll be fine.

Yeah, I thought I'd better do something before we all drowned in word soup. Whilst I personally love reading it all, things are getting a tad crowded and hard to track. Going with the Prince isn't a life or death matter. You're all welcome to go about finding another way - or splitting off once we've reached the end of the tunnel. I imagine the tunnel will be long, interrupted here and there by various derelict rooms. We'll probably find guards along the way, but the Prince's killers probably wouldn't have assumed he'd survive both the venom and the World Breaker, so there wont be a whole regiment worth of enemies. Still, we might not want to make too much racket, or the pesky feckers might surround the exit.

Probably will have Kylmi stick around with the main group or something once she gets all better [finally], not like she has anything else to do but sleep her way into the dungeon again.
Oh wonderful, finally getting out from the dungeon! dx
I left work early today, I feel utterly exhausted and sick.
I hope it doesn't last.

Rockette - 'S'all good, I'll put in the raw text. See if I can figure out the problem later. Was using GIMP. It looks clean in there, and I think in the initial upload. When I copied the image to Paint and loaded it that way, it still had the same problem, too. So it might be resolution or the site. Or the image was actually already messed up, and just didn't look it.

Ah, that would explain it then. A resolution problem when you loaded it up to Paint.
You didn't have to change it though. It was nice a thought regardless.

Anyways, I'm entirely exhausted and left work early. And managed some sort of post. u - u

There were voices, and there were shouts, there was blood and there was death. And all of it bled together in a muddled heap of chaos.

Kylmi knew that her drifting in and out of consciousness was a terrible sign, a prelude to her death and this dungeon to be her dying world. Her ears were still ringing, assaulted by the terrible screeching wail of her companion who clutched her within his various arms even when weakened so drastically. The Nymph's breath was exhaling in short, raspy gasps of agony as the iron venom continued to fester in her blood and the stench of the dying suffocated her poisoned lungs. Even in her dwindling state, she felt eyes on her and within those stares were judgments and wonder, Kylmi felt vulnerable under their scrutiny but death was bidding for her attention and she bit her claws further into the chitin plating. She had been used to glances and lingering gazes for so long, she often welcomed them, basked in them, her selfish pride and her want of the following lustful insinuations had been what Kylmi lived off of. But in the dark, it was different, and so she hid her own observations beneath the shadowing fall of her curling hair and the crook of her arm.

Their forms were dark obscurities as her mind reeled and shuttered off and on, her only reassurances that she was alive was the embrace of the massive insect and her own ears swiveling and rotating in random intervals to catch each and every exchanged dialogue. There wasn't much she could contribute to, her last spoken council against retreating to the forest having spent most of her ability to speak, and with the iron having riddled her mouth in blackish taint, her lips could only peel back over felidae canines in a horrid grimace and snarl. Everyone simply wanted to get out, to finally free themselves and she could champion to that, encourage it and yet their fallen emir had so condescendingly bid them on their own. She seethed at that, at him, he who vouched so for his guards and their lives. He didn't know of the horrendous tortures she had endured here in this stony netherworld, of what his precious brethren had done unto her and she glared at down the hall in which he retreated - if only, she thought.

With her feral anger, once again she was warped into the darkness of her passing mind, her reality confused and muddled beyond comprehension. She heard the talk and report of something, or was it someone, beyond their normal capabilities. The shuffling as everyone scrabbled around in their decisions of how and where to attack, she could feel the summoning of destructive magic but her reeling eyes could not pin point it anymore. The glassy fixtures were beginning to web with the ascending toxicity and Kylmi could only whimper in her frail voice when her weakened savior laid her down, she couldn't recall what he said across her mind, only that there was a hopeless tremor to it. She slumped against the wall, unable to support herself and her bones and body flinched and pained at the sounds she heard. Popping bones, peeling flesh, burning and things breaking and she grew terrified with it. She had not known battle for a long time, not since Isildier which was nearly a century ago. Kylmi coughed and spat at the memory and could barely catch the weakened boom across her mind.

...Back before you know it.

The Nymph could only manage a weak smile at that, and when he once again swept her into his arms, she rattled her antlers against his plated shoulder before her dying mind once again fell into unconsciousness.

Kylmi drifted in her dream like state, barely catching the soft suggestion that someone else carry her aside from one of their hulking companions. Her chest was rising and falling in barely there puffs of breath, accentuated by soft wheezes and rasps that ended in harsh, wet coughs and heaving convulsions. She swore she heard something about healing remedies in her unaware condition, but that could have been just her vain hope and instinct that made it possible for her to breathe. Her mind couldn't confirm it, she could only pray to her long, forgotten deity that they would find it necessary to assist her still.

JJ’s Random Comment of the Day:Discovered that onion ice cubes was an actual thing.@Rockette: Ah Julian… you are a sadistic psychotic spoiled child. Though, he may want to be careful with Dr. Perth. She will not take his abuse ;)Dr. Ramirez: Athene, what are you doing?Dr. Perth: *Slapping the air* Practicing.Dr. Ramirez: …for what?Dr. Perth: For when I need to smack someone’s, not saying who's, bottom for being a very bad, boy.Dr. Ramirez: ????Kim and Family Fact: There are very few things in the world that Kimberly doesn’t like to eat (most likely due to the wide range of animal spirit’s tastes), the very few being Sweet Dreams’ products. Sweet Dreams is a company notorious for it’s bizarre candy, which Nancy absolutely loved, including Balut ’n Cream with Licorice flavored lollipops.Ghost, on the other hand, doesn’t like really spicy foods or bitter tasting things, but has an extreme sweet tooth. If he had his way, Ghost would eat cake for breakfast, chocolate for lunch, ice-cream for dinner, and wash everything down with honey.

Knowing Julian's rather sadistic nature, he might like an impromptu spanking from the doctor, o;
I need to finish his character sheet so he's more official and real in the story... I just keep putting it off.

Ghost and Mags can totally gush over sweets together, it'll happen.

Also... I have to study for a resit on the 20th, which is boring as hell. I'll still be here and stuff, just have to share my pain, because it's.. horrible.

I don't know what that is like but I can totally sympathize, sort of.
