I'm with JJ on this one, it's terribly unfortunate, beyond such that a fantastic story like this did not come to completion. I'm on the line of whether or not I'm willing to let this go but much like JJ said, we cannot force your decision otherwise. I'm reluctant to admit with more than half of the original cast gone, be it by life circumstances or just relative inactivity, that'd it be pushing and forcing the story to continue on and stretching out various scenes for the sake of hoping some might come back to us would be an insult to the entire plot line. I too will probably be "fanficing" with JJ to finish out Mags' story, as the entire length of it and the work of such wouldn't carry on to another story and I doubt I'd have the heart to try and put her into something else, TSW made her what she is and everyone within it!

I can say, gladly, that I believe I progressed a little as a writer, learning to write more naturally and fluently rather than trying for some fantastic prose! And making graphics for the story was fun and I'd do it again for you all!

Without a doubt I'll be addicted to the entire TSW universe and help out as well in anyway I can, in which I'll be picking back up and will follow you in whichever story you decide to do next, Prisk!

On another note, met some fantastic people here and can gladly say we, who remain, stuck to the final end of it all.
Well I guess every site will have its pros and cons against what we're really looking for, unless you're one of the few who try and start their own using whatever engine is available. I can see the attraction of RPNation, I'm still debating on joining just for the sake of another community and comparing the two, as I'm sure they have a bit more to coding threads and what have you. But the generally younger crowd is a tad discouraging, for the sake of like mindedness. xD

I have rarely gotten on Pinterest myself! Though I know plenty of others who spend hours scrolling through it, I find myself doing that on Tumblr, though some of the things I come across, geezus.

Anyways, slowing writing here, my migraine from earlier prevented me from wanting to stare at my screen for an hour or so...
Ah, Morrowind <3
I enjoyed it more so, along with Oblivion, than Skyrim - as it seemed rushed, pretty enough, but the quest lines themselves seemed terribly lacking in comparison to all the aesthetics of the world. However I enjoyed the DLC content, which only made up for it in the slightest, but I digress.

I hope I covered all bases in my post, I had to read over the new posts and the older ones once again to make sure, but I believe I caught Saasi up to where we are - she missed some introductions, but oh well! She'll have a chance to get to know everyone. d;
It started with a rumour, as journeys often do.
The dragon borne was dead they said - who knew?

The taverns had been riddled with the circulating tale of a dragon vanquished upon the watch tower, the bones rattling against stone as the beast’s mighty soul was rent from its heart, igniting like golden flame and absorbed into the very being that was he - Alyx. Saasi had been skeptical to believe it, foolish tales woven under the stars by Bards or whatever purveyor of dreams had concocted, it seems too grand of an epic of burial grounds and arisen creatures of a long forgotten past. She had seen the ruins, the various masonry done under the harsh winters, she had seen the markings and the depictions of heroes and worships under the leathery might of their Draconic lords. But that was all it had been to her, a history, a past of renown that every Nord knew by heart and soul, so what was to keep them from crafting some other marvelous feat?

But old habits die hard, notions die even slower, and Saasi could not banish the curious reflection of “what if” from her mind, and no amount of honeyed mead could violate her thoughts as the stories spread and grew, sweltering into more than just rumours. It bled into fear, fear of an unknown future, of Fate, there was a black dragon they began to dread and every mighty gale of wind was told to carry the roar of a dragon that dominated and ruled the mountains high above with their peaks as mere roosts for their sheer legendary selves. Saasi’s mind began to reel and the figurative cogs began to grind from the former deluge of mindless drifting, a sense of purpose spurred her memory, bid for the dark woman to pry further into these rumours, to the point that she began to memorize the woeful songs and poetic prose of those who believed that their very world was meant to burn in righteous dragon fire. Saasi could care less for the fate of Nirn, for it Fate deemed them to die, then so be it - a rest was welcome. But what truly fueled the theories in her heart were those murmurs of scale and bone, eyes of fiery malice and intelligence that no Man, Beast or Mer could ever hope to conquer without their champion of the Thu'um.

Thus, when she inquired about the Dovahfeyn, a title she found interesting if nothing else, various individuals gestured skyward and began prattling on about men of high revere and grace and Throat of the World - something to which meant little to Saasi but in her cross country travels: hitching upon various caravans; making measly coin along the way with her twin axes; and having to endure grueling conversations and social charges, she had further nurtured her knowledge about the Dovah and the late Alyx. About the Grey Beards and the Thu'um, the shout as some would say. Saasi also became an inquirer of the rebellion, of the crests of wolf and bear and the circulating rumour of dragon tongue being utilized in the ascending civil war. The latter was something she knew personally, of no different of circumstances between her family of Crowns and Forebears, and the comparison made Saasi feel more weary, sullen and woeful of this supposed quest to bring down Alduin - the World Eater. It was an ironic notion that dire circumstances would bring the provinces and nations together under one valorous feat, and still people flocked, they swarmed the inns and taverns and masses to Ivarstead where Saasi had found lodging many days prior before the aforementioned swell came. It had bid her to stay within the backdrop, drawing little attention to herself by keeping to her room most of the time whilst others surrounded the foyer. Making way up those steps was something Saasi dreaded during her preparation at Vilemyr, mainly for that dry, biting coldness that Skyrim heralded on a daily basis where as she favoured the southern humidity, the thickest of foliage that brewed with it a steam and tangible air of warmth. But she had shrugged her cloak and swathed a length of fabric around the lower hemisphere of her visage, wished for a massive hearth and unwound her wild, oil slick coloured hair from its plait and let it suffice as enough as she began that Seven Thousand step, unknowingly following and treading behind her companions to come.
Saasi breathed into her cupped palms, producing a plume of white within the breadth of her bitten fingers as she knelt and read the tenth tablet along this cursed journey, the epitaphs before it foretelling a story that she had only recently learned of. She had seen many pilgrims do the same as she was, seemingly enthralled by their prose. Saasi found it alluring, brushing her dark fingers over the grooves in the stone before she swept away from it, peering through the fog where the landscape veered upward, further into an unknown destination. She had contemplated turning back on many occasions, for surely she would see a dragon soon enough as they scoured and scorched the mountain side, but something attracted her further up those steps and as she made this endeavor alone, she reflected. Saasi had been on her own for a long, extended time, and joining with a group of gathered fortune seekers or those yearning for fame did not exactly excite her, she was used to and a beloved of solitude. Saasi did not desire fame or fortune of any kind, and her apathetic dissociation left others ill favouring of her company as she merely gazed and hummed her vague consents into conversation. Her often cryptic intonations left much to be desired with the various layers of herself that she had fortified with the best proverbial lock she could manage. For whatever reason Saasi designated it for, she had succeeded thus far in avoiding most from accompanying her upon her random browse into the country side whilst she came upon shrines, ruins, whatever lost masonry Skyrim had to offer that wasn’t riddled with the occasional bandit troupe.

Her musings left her dismissive of her surroundings, in which she had not encountered much of the ill rumoured fauna on her climb, though occasionally she had seen the snow blotched with the faintest rouge of blood and had wondered on whatever creature the pilgrim had encountered in the frigid wilderness. Saasi shrugged her cloak tighter, her boots sinking through snow before she heaved herself up the final leg of her journey and was distracted momentarily by the view of the province spread before her. The illustration of dipping valleys and ascending peaks and, what she assumed, as homes plotting the landscape between sparse of trees and lakes of natural origin was admittedly breath taking. Saasi breathed in the thin air through the fabric against her lips, her breath coming in quicker inhales as she finally acknowledged the actual height of her ascension, it chilled her to the bone as she gazed up at the looming monastery and hastened her treads at the possibility of that aforementioned hearth she wished upon and used her shoulder to shunt open the ancient doors.

There was an ominous drone, a deep vibration of sound that signaled her arrival with the marrow-chattering noise of the door falling closed behind her. Saasi momentarily allowed her golden eyes to take in the dark interior and the overall coiling perfume of aged parchment and warm stone, the entire foyer spacious enough for the pottery and paraphernalia of the Grey Beards. There were curious statues and carvings into the walls that Saasi loomed closer to examine when a voice suddenly boomed across her lobe. Her gestures stilled, her fist of iron poised mid-way as she swung about on her boot and faced her would-be hosts. Donned in robes, with their faces veiled by hoods, Saasi examined each and everyone of them, the men seeming to blend into one another by whatever power they withheld, Saasi could feel the tremor of something ancient and benevolent about their dispositions and her former tense posture waned, relaxing for a brief moment as she gazed at them.

“We thought all of the pilgrims had arrived,” one began, his baritone soft and edged in a whisper of some sort, a peculiar accent Saasi had not heard before in a Nord - but she remained silent, as was her custom. Her only indication of answer was to drop her pack, letting it clatter on the equally elaborate floor, in which a woman that had previously stood behind them edged around to the front, brow arched.

“Are you here for the Dovahfeyn?” she inquired. Saasi blinked, a slow fall of her dark lashes that was enough of an answer as the blonde Imperial was going to receive. Her lips pursed, taking charge and list of the Redguard before who had yet to move or speak for that matter, but there was a harsh edge about her, despite all the forged carelessness and slow, nearly purposely done laziness about her. It was a languid deadliness, and she did not miss the bulge of weaponry upon her spine despite the shrug of her cloak, her capability had yet to be seen, but she was a warrior none the less. How much of one though, Delphine could not wager, not without seeing how she fared with their assemblage. The two squared off their stares, silent hanging heavy before the Grey Beard who had spoken before once again swept forward, the silence and heavy deluge of magic about him made Saasi flinch - it did not go unnoticed.

“You have journeyed a long way, much like the others before you.” He uttered carefully, gesturing vaguely for Saasi to follow as he began presumably leading her towards the others he mentioned. She merely gave the blonde woman one more glance before following after the man, dragging her belongings as she went.

“Your arrival is a tad late though no less appreciated, for we need everyone for this sort of feat. We have briefed the others on the details of this quest so allow me to do so now...”
She listened carefully to what the Nord - who introduced himself as Arngeir and the woman as Delphine - explained about their coming journey. She was vaguely informed about the mentioned settlement though had not been there herself, what was more tantalizing was the mention of the burial sites and that they had found a stone depicting their locations - something the Dragon Born had at least accomplished before his demise. Saasi did not relinquish her cloak of the swath of fabric from her face, declining Arngeir with a shake of her head when he bid her to make herself welcome among the fort. She did yet know of what she would face with the companions he spoke about, though light in his introductions - probably on purpose she presumed - saying she would witness for herself. And so she would, as the Nord bid himself else where, to prepare their lodging he said and advised she rest soon when able. Saasi merely watched him go and squared her shoulders beneath her wardrobe before sweeping among the meeting still within full swing. There was a slight heaviness, a former tension that was eventually beginning to dissipate as Saasi made slow, light movements towards the council, she was careful and languid in her movements and stoic as ever when the smaller, fragile looking Breton finished her introductions and Saasi found her gaze lingering when she spoke of magic, of course, she pondered for a moment and flashed her eyes else where. Though unassuming in appearance, much like she was, the Redguard knew better than to assume based entirely upon first impressions. Her inclination towards the rouge was much more than what she presented, though her factual potential had yet to be revealed.

Saasi, still donned in her cloak, made a mental document of the others seated and found a rather diverse group in which she was somewhat impressed by, it seemed everyone felt obligated to try and vanquish the dragons and save Nirn, for whatever personal agenda. She reflected on her own reasons and found herself a little less than noble, not that she would say so aloud.

Golden eyes glanced about then, finding something peculiar in the - she assumed Breton by his construct - man with eyes as piercing as the depths of Oblivion, she shuddered, something about him was entirely off that she found unnerving. More so now that she noticed the man standing off in the shadows with hair a shade to rival the snow outside, her fingers curled into fists as her stare swept aside, lingering on the Imperial and Nord sitting aside one another. She took stock of the Khajiit and Argonian, having encountered some before on her times spent in various docks and harbours, though disfavoured publicly here, Saasi found them no different than any Mer or Man and nodded in the slightest flick of her chin. The Redguard then pin-pointed her gaze of honey upon the man standing full in a unique set of armour, elaborated in pallid lines upon ebony plating, he was a Redguard like she was, though perhaps with an edging of Imperial blood through his veins. He looked valiant enough though Saasi could only base such upon first impressions. The rest seemed capable enough, save for those with magical inclination she thought otherwise and waited for a breadth of moment to see if any others would speak up in introduction.

Though not exactly punctual, Saasi knew that it was better to arrive late than not at all, she did not provide an explanation as to why and merely shrugged her cloak back from her shoulders, allowing the mass of fabric to gather down her curvature and barely expose the twin axes upon her backside and reveal most of her armour. Her mass of wiry hair was another matter as she slowly wound the erratic threads into a plait with precision and carefully unwound the fabric from her face, exhaling aloud as she finally breathed in the warmth of the room and the peculiar aroma of the companions gathered about. Smell and sense was vital, Saasi thought and twisted a lock of ebonette away from her marred cheek as she regarded the council once again.

“Saasi,” she spoke, her voice bearing with it a slight husk, her eyes avoiding most as she settled for the book that their scaled friend was writing within with a flourish Saasi found distracting. Though she wasn’t keen on revealing her plethora of abilities, she knew that secrecy would only prevail so far, and with a gesture of brushing her fingers down the fur festooned about her hips - stalling for time as it were - she addressed them once again:

“I’m capable enough, if not more so,” Saasi announced, cryptic as ever. “A warrior, if you must know. A pilgrim, a traveler, whatever title suits you.” She grappled for her axes, arms crossed behind her as if finding comfort within the weapons before sweeping her eyes across them once again, taking final note. If they inquired more after her strengths, then she might be inclined to answer, otherwise she felt as if her initial greeting was enough to satisfy their palates of knowledge - sure enough her appearance would vouch enough, would it not? Though introductions were vital, first impressions more so, Saasi couldn't find herself finding comfort among the mass of them and found it a tad unsettling with that peculiar sense of something about a couple of those in the meeting. However, she bit the inside of her cheek, opting for silence again as she merely seated herself with an easy grace, movements purposely done down as she leaned back against stone and crossed her arms across her bodice and looked her leg over her knee, eyes drawn to the curious scrawling of the Argonian in their midst.
She'd definitely find him flashy and over bearing, his brash and rather blunt method though is something she wouldn't terribly mind, as her days about the sea pretty much burned her out on whatever sort of callousness a man could procure. Though they share a racial blood, Saasi would, more than likely, find him overly exaggerated by his preceding reputation which she would have at least heard once in the docks, after all he's not a Redguard completely. First impressions would initially be that he's a child in her eyes [hell she feels old more often than not] and that his prowess in battle is about the only figment of respect she'd be inclined to give.

Overall, I think it'd be a mixed relationship, as over time I don't doubt that Haserus would grow on her even though Saasi doesn't believe in the glorification of heroes and champions and the like. But that remains to be seen as to how things pan out over all. Saasi has a lot of layers to herself and "masks", as I will call them for the lack of a better term.

Anyways! I hope the others come about soon enough, if not we can just do some hard core advertising and other stuff.
Anytime sweets!

On another note, been on a Netflix binge ever since Yu-Gi-Oh came on.
Then INQUISITION.

Oh, on the original players, who is still around? o:
Saasi will have some amusement with the cast we already have, though any of our lovely magus troupe will have a bit more difficulty with her prejudice and mistrust against it. But I'm looking forward to how a former pirate will mingle with the undead and lycans as well considering she has never encountered them, at least not that she knows of.

I took the liberty earlier to make notes on the characters thus far, but with the cast we have, have you ever thought of a character depository thread, Roze and Leos? I find that it's much easier to scroll through and check on for reference. Just a suggestion though. c:
Thank you both so much, can't wait to get Saasi in action!
Since I have a lax day at work tomorrow, I'll be able to write up my introduction and catch up to you lovelies.
Damn it has been six months!
That's pretty amazing, for a role play and for those still remaining with us, I can say this is the first I've been with in a long time that has made it this far! :D
Great job for everyone!

Anyways Prisk I'll make one for you! I don't mind at all since it's a new style I wanted to try, I'd be thrilled to get some practice in. :3

With RpNation though, I can't think of any other forum that might have an "advanced" section on like what you'd find here. Or as JJ says, you could bring the concept over to there? There are tons of forums on the interwebs, but the Guild is the biggest I've come across.

On another note I have a rather relaxing day tomorrow, since I managed to pull in hours before hand, so I'll be writing responses and a battle post for Mags.
If it does not pass review I don't mind altering what I need to and compromising! c:

thirty-nine┊Redguard ┊Warrior »

Skirmisher
A glorified duelist that thrives in the quick execution of a fight, not the rudimentary brawl or to be mistaken as a fleeting exchange of blows, the overall performance is an elaborate, yet minor, fleet of battle that is cultivated by the natural form and performance of fleet-footed Warriors. Not to be mistaken for Rogues of any pilfering nature or sly inclination, the Skirmisher excels primarily on the ploy of figurative methods that are the purpose of an over all completion to their prideful natures within battle. Typically favouring to diversity in the implement of any weapon, though blades are much preferred, the Skirmisher will utilize any arsenal within range but their acrobatic dexterity incline them to duel wielding favourtism - hence the slang title of “duelist” by observers. Does not favour any particular race thought some prevail more so than others by genetic prowess and nature.

Appearance
Tall, gaunt, bearing her genetics to the finest tee and typical front.
Saasi is a Redguard without a doubt, down to the finest rouge hue in her light brown skin, perhaps regarded pale in hues of dark heritage, but otherwise in line with her family’s likeness. As any warrior, her physique is toned, if not a little worn by her days about various harbours but muscle memory is keen in any wielder, as are the scars with them. Lined upon her frame in various scrapes and pale slashes, Saasi’s skin is a tapestry or hardship that even extends up onto her face, dragging her lip into a nearly eternal frown or grimace by the perpendicular lines that cross over one another on her cheek — it’s like a badge she’ll say, rather than a blemish. It’s a reminder to never forget.
Her hair is a tumble of curls, tight, coiling in their near oil slick hue atop her shoulders and twined down her back in a thick plait that fails to tame the wild, near wiry, mass of it. Her eyes are deep set glimpses of honey browns and golds, another likeness that all of her family share among themselves. Aside from these visuals, Saasi is rather unassuming in appearances, as is her want, a typical dark skin some would say, a worn out warrior others would murmur. The only significant importance about her is the elaborating ink etched into her skin that spirals down across her body in elaborate lines of varying thickness and are bordered in geometric circles and points, these tattoos spread over the near entirety of her body though none have seen them underneath her wardrobe.

Personality
Saasi is a peculiar soul of interchanging depths, often addled by her woes, and thus drifts in the public venue to be ordinary and otherwise a fleeting impression to whomever she encounters on whatever whims deemed by fate. Her lack of fanfare and stoic glamour accompanying such, begets to an apathetic shell of lack luster pretenses, sometimes tactless in emotional nuances with her expression a mask preened to the finest of edges of apathy. Saasi’s rather odd inclinations and preferences are only further nurtured by her rather sluggish movements, a sort of dull, worn grace of dexterity of slumbering capabilities and hidden ability. Her responses are usually brisk, dragged down by the husk of her voice and the accentuation of boredom that clips her cadence into a near careless assumption. On the surface, a barely there groove into the depths of Saasi’s factual persona, she’s cryptic, often avoiding the smallest bit of chatter in forced presence and usually prefers a solitary nook than blooming company. Her often misinterpreted presentation allows for lonely nights and days in the common placed assumption that she is lazy and brooding - where as she’s observing, calculating, an aficionado of the conceptual impressions to those about their habitual routines and consensuses. Saasi is, on first glances, a worn down and encumbered soul, perhaps deluged in some long afflicting sorrow or anguish that she blankets and swathes in constant masks and interchanging words, trying to by pass the curious individual trying to pry deep into her many layers of dissociation. How Saasi is within battle, is an entirely different matter. And any sort of magical inclination disturbs the Redguard beyond conventional means.

Biography
Aged and worn souls akin to Saasi often herald a rather tragic tale, a woeful sort of experience that has led to their worn and washed out shells of present life. But Saasi would deny any front to some fantastical story that would encourage some grand tale to a curious or prying Bard. But in the company of other well worn battle forgers, they’d see the lines: the weariness in shoulders and calloused palms that tell of their abuse; the misconception of time and weather that wears down the extremities of ones self. Saasi would tell, in perhaps subdued tones, that she was borne in Hammerfell and nothing more: saying nothing of her family torn between the Crowns and Forebears, desiring to practice tradition and rule and yet finding themselves swindled by the adaptation of her more open and transcending cousins. Though the civil disputes were long since settled, the differentiating practices still founded disdain between her torn lineage, often frustrating and proving to further fracture the divide with Saasi and her own family that been promised at a young age.

But as any Redguard, she survived, thriving just fine between the two sides and often flitting back and forth between the two and harnessing her shell, able to fortify each and every mask she donned for when in the venue of her parents or cousins, only shedding the layers when she would return home to her husband. Saasi would never admit to her complacency in life then; that she grew bored and weary of her existence and manipulation of soul; that in her near desperate strive to bring forth some sort of transcendence she began joining the Lhotunics in near spite towards the bickering sides in her family and in her immersion into the faction; how she found favour and exotic splendor with a few seafaring individuals and more often than not would accompany their beds.
Saasi would never give light or truth to her passing days, her life spent about the sea and that her warrior prowess of natural borne strength was further cultivated and conceived by the various Skirmishers about the creaking vessel. How plunder was their want and near fanatical need despite Saasi’s reservations. The title of Lhotunic seemed to be a brandishing reason, a sort of automatic explanation into why they did what they did.She would never tell of how she tried to leave them so many years later that blurred into one another of salt-tasting winds and blue waters [knowing her husband and family had forsaken her for her choice] and she would never tell of the grueling attempt that resulted in a wrecked ship against the glaciers of Skyrim’s harsh northern waters.

The only admission that Saasi would ever bother to provide, if probed or inquired, is that Skyrim is a cold wasteland of song and magic, the stain seeming to find hold in everyone in the province. She’d say that for a long time she found lodging in various holds in her travels, often finding a noble or two to swear her axes to [another tale and story of why she abandoned the traditional blade of her class and race] or even finding herself in service to a Jarl by whatever meaningless task they provided. But there is no infamy or grand tale that Saasi is the protagonist in, so she would say and so she has attempted to hide by whatever attempts - no need to relive her pirating days and the dull life before it. In the matter of dragons, Saasi reveres them as beings of intelligent grace and respect, her reflection about them only bids her to seek them out further, almost seduced by their flame for some unknown reason. Thus she follows the rumours, joined the browse of fortune seekers upon her own means of curiosity, whether or not Nirn is meant to burn means little to her.

Equipment
The only things of importance or value to Saasi are her axes, hand held and worn by her countless grasps, the duel weapons act as her extended arms: she heralds them as extensions of her soul and a badge and symbol of her history in which she vaguely reflects upon during her nightly ritual in nursing the past and her misdeeds over whatever finery of drink she can find. There’s a tale behind them, without a doubt, as nearly worshiped arsenal like these bear some virtue of soul and reason considering Saasi has avoided, with purpose, the traditional curved sword of her kind: the scimitar. Her armour consists of light preferences, as a Skirmisher needs to be light enough on their feet to move properly but of course donned in the best leathers to avoid injury, though Saasi would not complain of some new wound on her dark skin. Her equipment consists of studded leather, tinged with the faintest of blacks and maroons, skirted over the fur and plating festooned over her hips. For whatever reason of practicality, or fashion, her right side is more heavily armoured, fortified with steel plating and twined in leather about her thigh. Her arm is beheld in a gauntlet of iron, hammered out entirely on her gesture [this could allude to her being dominant on this side, right handed, as it were] and is tacked on all the way to her shoulder and capped with a tuft of pallid fur.

She is not a traditionally garbed Redguard, she doesn’t favour flowing, curving fabrics or elaborate designs and craftsmanship, her wears are of personal make and bear a minor enchantment that wills her natural affinity in constitution. Aside from these, Saasi does not typically wear things of gleaming fashion and use, aside from the glint of her well worn wedding ring [her marriage has long been void] slung about her neck in a gleam of silver topped with the unpolished ruby of her family. She relies on her natural strengths rather than spell bound assistance, despite this reservation towards magic of any kind, Saasi carries about with her a tome of destruction magic and various paraphernalia of any typical traveler and smaller trinkets of her past.

Other
Saasi is fond of the luxuries of smoking or drinking, bearing a tolerance and aptitude for both of these dependencies.
