Current I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Hammerfell, huh.

She had only ever really been through in passing on her way to the Imperial City. Honestly, she kind of hated it. The heat, the sand. It was rough and course, and got absolutely everywhere. It definitely wasn't good for maintaining weapons or her armor, that was for sure. Not that she minded, really. The Empress, in all her resplendently questionable authority had sent them here, and so here she was along with her...misfit group of allies.

Two elves, a Minotaur, and someone she was pretty sure was from that mysterious place known as Akavir. Well, as long as they were loyal to the Empire, especially the elves, she had no grievances with them.

Their first order of business should be to establish a good cover identity and do something about their money problem.

"Alright, so," Colcette started counting the coins on the table. "We need money and a cohesive story for ourselves. I don't know about you mages, but I'm probably going to find some...fighters guild or similar organization here in Hammerfell, if one exists."

"O-Oh uhm, yes. I have some tea and rice seeds as well." The farmer would reach down and pick up the bird creature as she replied, cradling it in her arms. "Ehehe, you're not a scary thing at all are you? Just a cute little fluffy friend." She'd use one hand to pet and nuzzle the creatures head as shed cast her eyes back over to the ruined shack. She'd have to come up with a name for the little guy later. For now, though, his name would just be friend. She was hoping it was a mill, but she doubted one would be so lucky. Perhaps it was just an old barn or some such.

"Mhm...if worst comes to worst, we could probably build a mill ourselves...probably an old hand operated one, nngh, that sounds tiring..." Yingmei approached the building, trailing shortly behind Niara. The outside was absolutely in shambles. She was concerned going inside would cause the whole thing to collapse, but as the duo would push open the door it seemed as though they would be so lucky.

It was an old hand operated millstone.

"Oh...it is one!" It was in a state of disrepair and couldn't be used whatsoever in its current state, but the foundation and groundwork was still there and should make repairing or fixing it up to be used quite simple compared to making and building one from scratch. "Eheh, the gods must have blessed us with fortune this day! Fertile fields and a millstone!" She'd pet the chicken creature with a giggle. "And a cute little bird friend. We could probably have one of the others fix this up for us in time for a good wheat harvest."

What a farce.

Ambush and run? Perhaps, a good idea if the mage had a trap, but as it stood...it was barely enough to get ones blood pumping. Not that it particularly mattered much. As her eyes scanned the field, she'd heft her warhammer and make a beeline to follow the fleeing brigit. If Kiffar and Avindr wanted the glory of taking the Atronochs so be it. She'd try to nip this problem before it came back.

"Criminal harm? You wound me, Sindri." Meen-La chuckled. "We've nothing more than a bandit in front of us. A bandit deserves whatever they get as recompense, yes? So instead of taking her in," The Argonian's mouth turned upwards into a grin. "We should treat her just like the bandit she is and give her a befitting death. Maybe I could lop off her head? Crush her ribs and let her suffocate slowly while birds and monsters eat her entrails?"

The only thing stopping her, at the moment, was the fact that this was not her band of misfits...but she could try to sway the others at least to end her.

Yingmei curiously watched the little bird waddled over to the two of them. Her heartrate started slowing down, a relieved sigh escaping as it seemed to be just a curious little bird of some sort and not some super predator that ate people named Yingmei. She was a little disappointed that it seemed to go right for Niara to receive pets, but talk of farming pulled her back to the present as she'd nod.

"Mhm. I thought the same. Its overgrown a lot, and its going to take a bit of work to clear it, but I can probably get it up and in decent shape in a few days...less with help." Her eyes were drawn back to the chicken creature as it scratched at the ground. Maybe this was her moment? A shining chance to make a new friend? She didn't know a thing about animal husbandry but it couldn't be too hard, right? Right. Definitely.

"Uhm...are you...hungry little guy? Girl? Do you lay eggs...?" She'd curiously muse to herself as she'd rifle through her bags for a few moments before pulling out some of her wheat seeds, just a few. Enough to maybe get the creatures attention as she'd kneel to the ground and place them on the ground in front of her. "Maybe we could check that shack next. If this was a farm, it might be something useful we could use."
I'll be posting Sunday evening for me. I do nothing but work and sleep until theeeen.

Overall, there was little to be said about the founding of their little group for now. Certainly growing pains were to be had as everyone felt each other out, got to know boundaries. Who the ones in charge were to be, or who was a useful idiot, that kind of thing. As they traveled down the Orange Road, her eyes lingered on their supposed leaders. Perhaps like a beast, stalking its prey. Judging if it was worth it for the meal or not. Kiffar wasn't leader material in her opinion. A useful enforcer. Arvindr...he seemed to have a reasonable head at least, but she had to wonder if he truly could handle leadership and the difficult decisions that came with it.

For now though, all she would do is yawn.

And with it, came the distinct feeling of something being amiss.

The lack of wildlife sounds. The feeling of something...wrong, in the back of her mind. In situations like this it was always a good idea to trust ones instincts. And her instincts as far as she cared, had never been wrong...which meant they were likely walking into some sort of trap. A few of the others seemed to have noticed too, but she'd let them take care of it. A simple and straightforward approach was always best for bandits and ambushes.

Their would be attacker would soon reveal themselves. Some old rival of their party leader, it seemed. By her count from what she could see, eight wielding various melee weapons, nine archers, and this Brigit herself that were immediately noticeable. Chance for more? Likely, if this woman was smart. She didn't seem to be, though. She could have engaged with the bandits similar to Kiffar, or stealthily handled them like the other seemed to be, but splitting their forces entirely now was not the best idea.

"Sweet Hist Sap, Arnvidr. You should have told us you had a secret admirer." Meen-La chuckled, hefting her warhammer and resting it on her shoulder. If nothing else she could support their leader, for now. Watch his back for now. "You should listen, woman. You are clearly not built for this kind of thing. You can't even tell when half your pathetic excuses for bandits are already Haj Mota feed." A lie, but words were very good at causing one to second guess themselves or make mistakes.

She really wanted to just kill this woman outright, though, but she'd stay her hand until given the order too.
and a posty.

Xalt already had informed me what the chicken thing is, so well, there lol.

"O-oh!" She had been fully prepared to go alone, and in some manner that would have made things easier. At least, mentally, but she was also glad that it seemed like someone had decided to actually take her up on the offer. "N-niara. Yes I heard your name. Nice to meet you. Uhm, yes, I can help you find a rope, probably! If one is around...might be able to make a decent one from plant fiber if we find enough, though." She glanced towards Brom, shaking her head. "U-uhm, no its fine. I've had enough excitement for one day and w-well..." Her voice trailed off, frowning as she'd refrain from stating that she'd only get in the way again as she'd start walking towards the fields.

So following an old dirt road, Yingmei would walk towards the edge of the village. It was rather nice, all things considered. Peaceful and getting a good look around...well, not that there was much to see. The land seemed to be mostly entirely flat. Not even any rolling hills or plains to speak of. Just flat prairie and grasses, long since having overtaken any paths that may be here. The only real noticeable landmarks were the stone and wood posts littering the landscape occasionally. The remains of fences, likely marking land ownership having long since decayed into nothing and overtaken by nature once again. They may be able to reuse some of them if they found any that weren't too bad. Not permanently, at least, but maybe for firewood or something...

The only good thing she could see was the fact that there were still usable plots of land! Well, mostly. She'd need to trim and likely find a way to deal with any pests. She'd have taken time to thank the gods for a stroke of good fortune had it not been for a teensy, tiny, problem.

"Erm...Miss Niara...did...I did see something moving out there, didn't I?" Yingmei would ask, though she would very much know the answer. She could see it moving off in the distance, between the two of them and a small building. "D-do you think we should approach?" Well, they would need to see what it was regardless, wouldn't they? If it was some sort of monster they would need to know what it was living here so the others could deal with it.

She unconsciously gripped her hoe hard again.

"R-right, ok. Uhm. You know what? I'll go see what it is. If I scream, then...well, honestly I might do that even if its nothing, ahaha..." She'd chuckle in a self deprecating manner. She'd walk closer to this mysterious creature, keeping her steps as light as possible as she'd walk past the overgrown grasses and shrubs. It wasn't long before the creature came into view.

A fat, small, white feathered creature. On its head rested a feather that was disproportionately large compared to the rest of its body. The rest of its feathers seemed smooth, and...honestly she kind of very much wanted to pet it. It was idly waddling around on its two clawed feet, and it seemed she had stumbled upon it mid snack as it pulled a bug of some sort off the ground.

"Uhm...H-hello? You...wouldn't happen to be friendly would you?"
