27 years old today. Only three years of my 20s left. Where did all that time go?

So apparently, if you use a tooth with a filling in it to chew toffee, the toffee can become sicky enough to pull the filling out.

Sorry for taking so long on my end. The real world, am I right? I'm still working on my character and I should be done soon. In the meantime, I'll fill out that optional interest form you mentioned.

1. Posting Commitment:
Are you confident you can meet the minimum commitment of 3 posts per week? (Y/N): Yeah I think I can do that.

2. Character Concept Idea:
(Provide a brief description of your character idea, including their name, age, and a summary of their mutant ability. Remember, they should be Rank 1, age 13-16, and an X-tra!): Samuel Miller (A.K.A. Channel Surfer), a thirteen year old former child TV star who can speak to machines with his mind. Unlike most other former child TV stars though, Samuel worked for everyone's favorite absurdist parody of network executives, Mojo.

3. Other Thoughts:
(Anything else you want to mention about your experience with MMRPG, PBP, or your general excitement for the setting?): This will be the first game I've ever played with MMRPG. I've played in plenty of PBP games using other systems though. And I'd say I'm reasonably stoked in regards to the setting we're gonna be playing in.
Miss Light

"Well that was certainly an eventful hour." Miss Light said as she came away from the performance in higher spirits than she arrived. Were she capable of it, she certainly would have been smiling at that point. But now that the hour had passed, Miss Light had to face the question of what to do next once more. Looking around, she soon spotted the dock for the gondola swans. And upon seeing one of the aforementioned swans depart from the dock, Miss Light knew she had to go there. Turning to Morgran, Miss Light pointed towards the dock with an excited glimmer in her normally inexpressive eyes. "What do you think of going there next?" She asked the dwarf.
We now return to our regularly scheduled shenanigans.

Valerith banning entertainment be like.
"Yes, it does, but we should not overthink it. It is a party after all. We should just enjoy the moment."

"Quite right. Quite right." Aldric said with a nod of agreement. "With all that business about the Great Modron March putting people on edge, a respite such as this in a time such as this should be enjoyed to its fullest extent."

You didn't need to wait long after that. A servant approached Orthog Troll-Puncher at the buffet table and whispered something in the half-orc's ear that caused him to sigh, head over to the priests haranguing the presiding cleric, and see them off with a few well placed glares. Once the cleric was in place, music with no discernible source began playing across the grand lawn. With the song being played traditionally used to signal that the wedding was about to begin in earnest, every guest who heard the music began making their way to the chairs set up in front of the dais.
Forgot to tag you all in the IC post.

No worries. I'm subscribed to this thread. I'd hear about any activity here regardless of whether or not you mention me.
Brutrumukk

When the other bugbear didn't immediately recognize him, Brutrumukk was tempted for a moment to keep it that way. Being a gnome was embarrassing enough on its own, the thought of other bugbears knowing what he had been reduced to did not appeal to him in the slightest. But the mention of a bargain did spark the bugbear gnome's curiosity. Maybe this new bugbear had some kind of treasure. Maybe he had some Feywild boon like the one Brutrumukk got from the Will o' Wells... Or maybe... Just maybe... Maybe he had a way to restore Brutrumukk to the bugbear he once was. There was only one way to find out. "You might 'ave come lookin' fer a bugbear, but all you'll find 'ere is a gnome." Brutrumukk confessed in goblin. "I was the bugbear what was with this group. But after bein' eaten by some ogre mermaids near Bav's place, I was brought back as a gnome by some monkey I gave a button to. The others will back me up on this... Except that one by the poster. She weren't there to see that."
"The Biggest Order..." Gurgle-Thump whispered as he moved to stand by the door. "We obey. We obey the Biggest Order."

"Please do not tell the Eel," Splosh-Krack added as he joined the other Monitor.

As they turned away from him to open the door, Leo crossed his fingers as he always did before doing something daunting. Whatever it was that was calling to him, it was likely something powerful and he was likely approaching an incredibly dangerous encounter. But it had to be done. He face what the kuo-toa dared not. He had to give fuel to the fire of their belief in him. If he didn't, he would never be strong enough to save his loved ones at best and the kuo-toa would eventually start doubting his divinity at worst.

Leo uncrossed his fingers as the door cracked open with a great deal of complaint and forced himself to show no hint of disgust as he was assailed by the sight and stench of death. He then took care to keep any sign of curiosity off his face when he saw that most of the water in the forbidden chamber was being contained within by magic.

Then he saw the floating statue in the middle of the room.

Leo was no stranger to this particular situation. The statue looked like a beautiful woman while she was facing away from him, but he knew enough stories to know that when she turned around, the statue would reveal itself to have some sort of horrifying visage. And sure enough he was right... Leo still found himself attracted to the statue even when he saw she had an exploding mushroom for a head though. Whoever had sculpted those curves had done an amazing job.

'Hey! No! None of that right now! Stay focused.' Leo's instincts kicked in as the distraction almost jeopardized his act.

Returning to the task at hand, Leo pondered what he beheld before him. At first he though the statue to be some representation of Zuggtmoy, the Demon Queen of Fungi. But as he considered all the dead kuo-toa around the statue, another idea came to him. The fish folk had been living in the cathedral for longer than Leo had been with them. And since their unwitting ability to manifest deities through sheer faith was a defense mechanism against the dangers of the Underdark, they had to have been revering something before he came along. Was this statue his predecessor? Was this statue the god the kuo-toa had bowed to before him? Had she called him here in some last ditch effort to win back the worship after losing it to him?

Leo's pondering was cut short then as the statue's face twitched, the sickness returned in force, the gravity doubled, and the call became a compulsion. Leo resisted all of this while continuing to act like it wasn't affecting him at all. And SHOOGBIMBHALD stared down the statue with an utterly unamused expression on His face. "This cathedral is mine now. The kuo-toa are mine now." He told the statue with a tone of total finality that would brook no argument. "All I leave to you is a simple decision." SHOOGBIMBHALD reacheda hand out to the statue. "You can pay homage, recognize me as your lord and master, and be permitted to persist under my power." He closed His outstretched hand into a fist then, the beginnings of an Eldritch Blast crackling across His knuckles as He continued. "Or you can resist, continue to defy my coming, and languish in the darkest recesses of my dominion until the day you finally fade. The choice is yours."
Miss Light

"Is that so...? I appreciate your efforts and consideration,"

"No problem at all." Miss Light said, noticing Palasha's scrutiny but deciding not to comment on it just yet.

Miss Light listened then as Palasha spoke to the Kenku. Apparently the Kenku had not simply been causing trouble just for Palasha, but for the rest of the Witchlight Carnival as well. And the reason the Kenku was doing this was because they hadn't been hearing anything from their patron and had been turned away by someone when approached for answers. Likely Mister Witch and Mister Light, if Miss Light had to guess.

'If that is the case, this Kenku must be a warlock like my father then. Possibly one that has been jilted by their patron if the silence they've been met with is anything to go by.' Miss Light thought to herself.

'Trouble thyself not with things impertinent. Others are already set upon the way to unravelling this matter. Thou shalt keep thy mind fast fix’d upon the charge before thee.'

Miss Light gave a slight nod to Arkerym's words as she returned her focus to why she had come here. She watched as Palasha delivered her verdict and sent the Kenku off in the company of some other hands, before turning back to Miss Light and Morgran.

"Thank you. Thank you very much!" She thanked the two of them.

"Oh you really needn't lay the gratitude on so thickly. It was barely and inconvenience." Miss Light said modestly, still not entirely used to receiving genuine gratitude. "Now that this business has been settled though, could I convince you to return to the lake and finish your song?"
How much distance is there between the statue and Leo?
