Brutrumukk then listened to the new bugbear's second question and offer, took a moment to decipher the weird way the bugbear had said it, and then gave an answer. "I live by meself under a rock near some village what I dunno the name of." Brutrumukk said. "As fer goin' back 'ome, I plan on doin' that. Can't 'ave that lot in the village thinkin' they can stop leavin' offerings at the Stone. But I ain't goin' back just yet. I 'ave to help me Fairy Godmum an' find a way to turn back to normal first."

Fun Fact: Brutrumukk being a cannibal wasn't actually something I had envisioned as being part of his character back when I made him. But when Haruki ruled that eating the Bunny Brigands counted as cannibalism, I sorta just went with it and made him into the man-eating glutton he is today.

Miss Light absentmindedly accepted Morgran's hand with a reasonably distracted "Thank you kindly." and allowed the dwarf to help her into the gondola. All the while she remained transfixed by the sight of Feathreen, even as the ride started and the joyful going-ons in the Carnival and the twinkling stars above became only a head's turn away. The joy of the Witchlight Carnival and the stars in the sky held no appeal to Miss Light in that moment. All she had eyes for was the eternal beauty of the swan pulling them along.

Which was why when Feathreen asked "What is joy?", there was only one answer Miss Light could possibly give. And it was this answer that she gave immediately and without hesitation.

"Gazing upon you."

"Ah don't see why not. Let's go,"

Miss Light was practically vibrating with excitement as she eagerly led the way to the jetty. When they arrived, she gazed in wonder at the swans departing into the mist, before becoming transfixed on the swan currently waiting at the jetty. While Ellywick's frog had been absolutely adorable, the giant swan that Miss Light was now faced with could only be described as the most beautiful creature that she had ever laid eyes on. There was talking going on around her, but Miss Light was too entranced by the bird's beauty to do anything more than half-listen to what was being said. And so, when the request for tickets came, Miss Light mindlessly pulled out all three of her tickets and offered them to Feathreen despite only needing to give her just the one for the purposes of getting it punched.

Elf flesh though? The taste o' that depends on what type of elf yer eatin'. Sun elf flesh tastes like gold. Wood elf flesh tastes like deer flesh what's been rubbed with wild berries. Stuff like that. Believe me now?"
