Guys, I'm still here, just dealing with some physical illnesses and hectic work/personal life. I will have a reply up this weekend. *Bows and poofs out*
I'm still here too, I'm just waiting for the posting order (no rush at all, Kill, just explaining my not posting yet)
@Oblivion666@Kitsune@Kurisa@KillBox@AbigailTenshi@Axel Shin nodded to what Sui said, agreeing that there might be someone listening to them, seeing as they didn't exactly choose to be here. He nodded as she ordered him to bring some of her squad with him to take care of some of the hollows, which would be plaguing the area because of the large amount of strong shinigami in the area. He wasn't sure about who was in Sui Sanada's squad, and so, looked to her, inquisitively for a moment before stepping off to the side some, and shouting to the skies. "Captain Sanada has asked for some of her squad to join me in a mission!" He then stepped away from her, moving away from the large group of shinigami in the hopes that some of her squad would join him of their own accord. While he waited for them to join him, he tried to focus, hoping to sense for the presence of any hollows nearby, or if there were any other high-reiatsu areas in which to start searching for the hollows.
Shin had been going about simple, every day shinigami business. He had been writing reports and the such as he normally did until a booming voice and a light interrupted him. As the ground shook, he looked about, unable to decide what to do for a moment. "Traverse the heavens in but a step, Ma!" He shouted, turning his zanpakuto to its shikai form. As the ground shook, he let himself fall, swinging the two halves of his shikai above and below him so he could take his time with looking around. Because of his shikai's ability, he had practice with using it to ensure he wasn't being thrown about randomly, and thus, looked around while falling through the portals. He would bring his hands down to hit the ground before he went through the portal occasionally so as to avoid going too fast. This didn't last very long though, as the ground glowing faded, but so did his knowledge of where he was.
The human world
Shin opened his eyes slowly, but quickly closed them again as the sun nearly blinded him for a moment. He brought his arm up, giving himself some shade while his eyes adjusted and he looked around. "That wasn't some prank, then..." He said as he realized he was in the human world. He sat up and checked his waist for his zanpakuto, which, for some reason, was sealed and in the sheathe, despite his using it only moments prior. He looked to another shinigami who seemed to understand what was going on, and label himself temporary head captain. He hadn't gotten many chances to interact with shinigami from other squads, so the only thing he knew was that it was the captain of squad 12. He stood up, looking around only to see that other members of his own squad seemed absent, and thus, he went to the closest squad to his own... At least number-wise.
He didn't know the captains all that well, as he'd focused on his own squad mostly, but he could at least pick them out of the crowd with ease. He saw captain Sui Sanada standing with other captains, by the look of it, and stepped over towards them, bowing as he did. "Apologies for interrupting, but captain Sui Sanada, I would like to request to act as a member of your squad for the time being... Seeing as squad ten seems to be missing." he glanced up, hoping to see a reaction, "If you need to know about my zanpakuto, I can explain the shikai." He was about to wait for a response before realizing he hadn't introduced himself. "Oh, right... Sorry captain Sanada, my name is Shin Kimoto, fifth seat of squad ten."
@Axel I'd say probably just the one day. Just to be safe o3o and thank you xD I wish I could have spent more time on it xD
Oo... That story post gives a great opportunity to actually get into this. I kind of just had my character set up and prepared for when I had time, but wanted to wait until I had some good time so that I could relax and think of ways to get my character to work with some other characters and actually interact. But this story post gives a perfect reason for my character to join in the fun early... If that's okay, that is If it is... Anyone want a portal-based shinigami to join their squad for the time being?

Weight: 145 lbs (65.7 kg)

Profession: Shinigami (Shinigami is a job and your character also may have a job or not)
Rank: 5th seat of squad 10

He was raised in a very poor family, one that couldn't afford to live in the safer districts, and thus, moved around a lot to avoid getting the permanent attention of any gangs or less than friendly residents. They never really bought a house anywhere, as they didn't have the money, and instead chose to simply live in abandoned buildings as they found them for short bursts of time each. Each time they settled into a new home, Shin met a few of the kids that lived in the area, helping each one with whatever they needed so long as he got to call them a friend. Of course, whenever what was needed included theft of anything that could be shared, he'd ask for a small amount of it for the sake of his family, but other than that, he only ever asked for friendship. This went on for many years until eventually, when Shin was about a teenager, (about 300), his family got into some trouble with a gang that controlled a large area. The gang had noticed them enter their territory, not pay them anything as they thought was their due right, and then move deeper, and deeper, until almost completely in the center of their territory without even realizing. The second night his family was staying in the area, the gang struck. Four of them entered the building, three waiting outside as lookouts and possible backup, each wielding a bat or just their fists. Obviously, Shin's parents attempted to keep him out of the situation, but couldn't stop the thugs from beating both of them to a pulp, then turning their attentions to Shin. With thugs guarding the entrance, Shin could do nothing save attempt to run, which he did, but was very quickly caught as he passed the threshold of the door. He looked around, spotting a couple of kids he had helped with something only the previous day. He shouted for help, but only got a silent stare, then the sound of footsteps away for his request. The thugs took him back into the building, and beat him just as badly as they had his parents. When his family recovered from this, they attempted to move, but were met with the gang having placed guards to ensure they didn't leave before paying for rent. When the thugs came back for another beating for the rent, Shin stood for his family, offering himself as the payment so that they could leave. The thugs decided that lives were a good price for staying, but not the teenagers, they knew better than to kill off a youth. So they killed Shin's parents, throwing Shin out of their territory and telling him not to come back unless he wanted to lose his own life or pay rent. As he sit in an alley, trying not to think about the parents he saw die in front of him, he saw a figure dressed in black with a sword at their belt, kneeling down and giving some food to a hungry child. At this sight, he stood, walked over, and looked at the shinigami. "Who are you...?" And shortly after, Shin had gone to the academy.
(tl;dr for history, or if it's too bland... Basically, his family moved from abandoned building to abandoned building, Shin helping people along the way, his family got into trouble with a gang, the parents paid with their life, and Shin was kicked out, only to see a shinigami giving food to a child. He chose to follow that shinigami's path... If you want to be that shinigami, and have been one for a while now, then please msg me and I'll talk with you about it)
Relationships/Friendships/Rivalries/Siblings: Family-like friends throughout the more poverty-stricken parts of the seiretei.
Other: Kenpachi... Byuakuya... And Mayuri? Three captains... Exemplifying Strength, control, and intellect respectively... Together the perfect fighting machine, perhaps? (Can include unique clothing items and such)
~Zanpakuto~
Zanpakuto name: Ma (translated to gap, space, or pause)
Type: Spacial distortion
Zanpakuto Shikai Release command: "Traverse the Heavens in but a step, Ma!"
Spirit Appearance:
The spirit's head turns a full 360 at will, with a young face on one half, and an old face on the other (both are complete faces, each is where the back of the other's head would be) and both have the same mind. It will utilize this switch in place of an animal form most of the time, but switch more often (if that's okay)
Spirit Personality/Goals: Ma sees himself as the representation of Janus, the Roman God of the transition/portal (The picture is in fact a game's representation of this very god). Thus, while he knows the transition has a time limit, he always enjoys it. Thus, if asked for advancement, he would not respond with asking what you're willing to give up, but in what way you wish to transition. In most cases, he will attempt to make it an objective to get through the transition, not to get to the other side, if he can.
Inner world:
(It's a never-ending loop, the ends of the hallway simply being portals to the opposite end. There are doorways through which one can explore the realm, but Ma does not like letting people exit the transition, and thus, most times does not let anyone through these doors, at least, not all the way.)
Sealed appearance: Katana
Shikai appearance:
Bankai appearance: Simply portals held in Shin's hands
Shikai skills: 1.
(Can not be used in the same post as an attack unless the attack is before, at the very least. This portal is definitely visible, but just makes the battlefield more intricate because of it) Shin cuts the air, creating a portal in that location, if no other portals are currently present, it's simply a rift in space for the time being, and is solely a portal to itself, thus, does little to nothing, save make it hard to predict the ETA of an incoming attack. Once two locations have become portals, Both sides of the fight can utilize the portals, and only two portals can be active at any time. Should Shin wish to replace one, he need only cut an existing portal once more with the intention of repairing the space there. Should any attacks go through these portals, they go in the same direction from the other portal, so if one portal is to my left, and one to my right, if I shoot a kido through the right portal, the left one will make it shoot into me. No exceptions to this rule.
2.
Ma's blade is not, itself, more sharp than the usual, but is instead, the location in which a permanent spacial rift is. Thus, if say, an arrow were shot at Shin, if he put the blade up, the arrow would split in half just before touching the sword itself, thus leading to no effort involved in blocking weak attacks. However, this spacial rift will act as a solid object when in contact with reiatsu, so an enemy zanpakuto will not instantly be damaged by the blade, but the blade itself will not break without the spacial rift being bypassed first. An equally strong opponent will likely not be able to damage Shin's blade, nor will a slightly stronger opponent. The spacial rift acts as doubled defense to damage to the blade, and thus, makes it easy to be careful with this blade.
3.
Shin is able to create and manipulate a single portal, linked to nothing else, to for only a moment shoot out in a single direction like a beam. The portal acts as a temporary spacial separation attack that when closed, will not put things back where they were, thus, a cutting effect. tl;dr, Shin can shoot a beam that cuts things (it works the same as his blade's spacial rift, in which it will not cut through a zanpakuto, but it will destroy landscape, and possibly partially injure enemies that aren't combat ready)
Cooldown of 4 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
Not unlocked yet Bankai skills: 1.
The portals that take the place of his blade are able to change shape at Shin's whim, but can only become about the size of if his original katana were the diameter of a circle. That is to say, if he expands it to the full capacity, it would be a circle in which one of his katana could fit. He does have two, however, so he can make the total into that of two of his katana. These do not act as portals, but spacial rifts, they only look like portals.
2.
Shin can still make portals by cutting an area, however, now more than two can be created (maximum of four? I'll talk about this with you) and each one is linked in some small way. Shin is capable of controlling which one goes to which location at will. Only even numbers can be active at any time, the odd ones out act as if they were the only portal at that time, but can be activated when another is deactivated.
3. 4. 5. 6. (Ultimate Skill)
If more than one portal is existent at any time, Shin can, with great effort, make several portals link to one single portal. Because of this, there's a huge increase in taken-up space in one location, and a lack in the places that are all linking to that sole portal, thus, space itself works to correct the issue, forcing all space in between the over-encumbered spacial area, and the lacking spacial area, to shift to correct the issue. This means that with the great effort Shin used to do this, he can effectively act as if he had cut through multiple areas at one single moment, but this is conditional to the fact that the one it's being used on is in between at least two portals (if only two, then it will basically act as two cuts, as the space being moved would only be a part of their body)
Non-lethal Zanpakuto Skills: 1. Portals aren't always deadly... He can use it to do things like create a portal between his desk and his bed, and can then, rest on his stomach while his head and arm hover above his desk, working during his leisure... They're really quite helpful, honestly.
No rush...? Pfft... All the rush... Disclaimer: I do not speak for anyone else, the above was simply a joke intended as an interesting entrance for any who know me
Ummm....I dont really care if we reboot or not, as I would like to stick with you guys any way...... But....I know that doesn't really help.....so I think we should keep everything as is.
If it would help your problem with controlling other peeps ocs, I have an idea. :) After the accident, or whatever, the ocs of the non participating players could kind of pull away from the group entirely......like some of them choose to travel away from Red Lake to find out what happened to them. Thought that may be easier than sticking with them forever.
This sounds like the better idea... Sorry, I've been really focused on a lot of other things, and haven't gotten many chances to check RPG lately, as I'm going to be in college this coming year, so I sincerely apologize if I'm one of the ones who haven't posted enough. I can't focus much on things while I'm a bit scrambled this summer, so if I need to post, please message me and I'll get a post up as soon as I see that you messaged me.
Ryan sighed as he got out of the RV, grabbed his stuff, and sat down on the sidewalk. He would have to call a family member to drive him home, since he had planned for the trip to be the full time. He pulled out his cell, which he had left in his bag, turned off, in case of the need to call home. He called home, the phone ringing a few times before his dad picked up. "Hey, dad... the trip ended early so I need you to come get me." He nodded, more or less, to himself, as his father responded. "I'll tell you why in the car." He waited a moment, listening to his father's response, and proceeded to respond in kind "Alright, see ya in a bit..." He ended the call, putting the cell back, and stood, looking to the others. "Any ideas what exactly we should tell people that know about the trip...?"
So whos still alive here? I feel like that this is dying I need the ones who haven't posted to tell me if they are interested or not. Aside for those who have posted recently.
Under the circumstances that I'm considered one of those that haven't posted recently, I'm still interested. If you need me to post, simply message me, and I'll do so
