i am rather busy trying to balance out work, family, life, and my rps all at once. I'm going to try and post when I can, it's just I don't know when I can.

Catarina La'Spada

Catarina was familiar with the Mage Guild's methods. She's never did this before, but she knew about it from other mercs and their failures. The few jobs she had for the mage guild were fairly easy stuff, mostly killing X amount of monsters and bringing back their organs or some such. Nothing that the guild needed to track her for, that's for certain. But with this much money, and the sort of danger they'd be diving into, it only made sense that they would be tracked. Additionally, the old man told them some important information about the temple. "Temple of Nerull huh? I've dealt with his kind before." Catarina just meant slaying undead, which Domina was well suited for. She doubted that there'd be any undead threat that Catarina couldn't slay, though the traps would be trickier. She wasn't familiar with trap designs and often only saw them after they've been triggered. Sufficient to say, magical traps were out of her expertise.

As for the blood scrying, Catarina wasn't too comfortable with it. She knew such things didn't last permanently, but for the duration it did last the mage guild could track her down to the inch. It was the sort of thing a bounty hunter uses to hound his mark, which is exactly something she's seen done by the mage guild. Even just a drop from a sword is enough to track down the stealthiest rogue. But Catarina was also no coward, nor did she betray a contract. As long as the Mage Guild honored their side of the bargain, Catarina wouldn't steal the Chalice, nor would she let others take it for themselves. So Catarina took out a piece of charcoal, her "pen", and give her signature on the contract. Then Catarina took out her dagger, took off her gauntlet, and gave herself a small cut across the thumb, letting a few drops touch the orb. "And with this, our contract is sealed."

After signing the contract, a direwolf showed up at the tavern. Fortunately before blades were drawn the knight, Alexander, mentioned it was his mount. Catarina's eyes widen at this statement. Dire Wolves weren't easy beasts to tame, Catarina should know. She once spent an entire year trying to tame dire wolves for herself, but they always attacked her within a week. Elleonora the cleric and the newest newcomer Kalista seemed interested in the dire wolf, though Catarina was a bit more interested in Vivian. This entire time she had been complimenting Catarina, which made the fighter feel... Warm and confused. Perhaps later Catarina could investigate further on Vivian's attraction to her. Or maybe they could go now. "The old man said that the stables would have mounts and some basic supplies for us. We should use maybe about an hour to buy anything more specific, and then we'll meet at the stables. We should leave before nightfall."

Looking over at Vivian, Catarina smiled and extended her uncovered hand towards her. "I still have some money from my last few jobs. We should go shopping together, pool our resources to help prepare for our quest."

You won't be able to take it without a fight. Right now Hibiki and Shizuka are there rigging it of traps, though Shizuka might miss the angel's initially since she's focusing on the demons to the west.

This sounds like a horrible idea. I'll only agree if you'll make your angel forces act as fodder to get through the demon roses in Delta. Since they could just fly over the water and stuff.

HIBIKI & SHIZUKA

The Twins patrolled the Contender with the intent to find spies. Ever since infiltrators had managed to get inside the Elitcor, the Machina has made tighter security protocols against both demon and angelic spies. Spot screening, patrol check-ins, multiple passwords that changed every few hours. Anything to ensure that the Contender isn't compromised. The Twins, of course, passed these tests. Shizuka was rather uncomfortable since as a Holy Spirit, some of their anti-angel methods would affect her. She had to carry her Machina Badge and stay near Hibiki at all times to ensure she wasn't executed on the chance she was an Angel's spy. As the sisters continued their patrol they were approached by Grafdakka who gave the two their orders. It was strange seeing the normally unsocial giant robot just casually walk up and start barking orders, but Hibiki and Shizuka didn't question it. He was a Battlefield Commander now, so he was going to do this a lot more often.

Once Grafdakka was gone the twins went to gear up: It was time to battle. Aside from the new Nereid Aquatic Operation Armor given to them by High Queen Eos, Hibiki carried their usual load out. The Cerberus Rifle was fully capable of underwater warfare, which was one of the reasons why it's such a common and reliable weapon for the Machina. Shizuka on the other hand eschewed some of her equipment (Her hammer and pistol) to carry Ascalon, Diana's sword. It was suppose to be highly effective against demons and dragons, and Shizuka knew she'd face at least one of those things in this battle. Once the two had all their equipment ready they went to the lower levels of the contender and they both entered torpedo pods. Unlike normal torpedo's, these won't explode, rather they'd jettison Hibiki and Shizuka very far, very quickly. They'd need these to get behind enemy lines and help them find Victoire.

Speeding through the ocean at breakneck speeds, the pods eventually stopped at the south-east most sector. They had moved so quickly that they could easily reach the platform where they needed be to capture the sector. But instead of doing so, the Hibiki started telling Shizuka the plan. "Remember, somewhere in these sectors the Leviathan is asleep. For all we know, he could be right here. With that in mind we need to prep. Sis, I want you to watch the west and tell me if or when you see anyone coming. I'll start setting up some traps around here so after we leave, we'll weaken the enemy when they come to recapture this point." Shizuka took out her rifle, the only thing that had a scope far enough to allow her to see from a distance, and nodded her head. "Rodger that."

With their plan, Hibiki started to rig the area with traps, such as mines, hidden turrets, and some surveillance equipment. Shizuka hide in some foliage and used her scope to watch for any demons. From afar, she could see that some of the ocean's water had turned red. No doubt due to Victoire. If reports of her from the last battle was true, she turned the whole valley red with her magic. For a moment, Shizuka wondered how she and her sister were suppose to actually kill Victoire. "I doubt it'd be as simple as stabbing her..." Shizuka whispered to herself. She went back to keeping an eye on enemies, waiting until her sister was ready.
