Been on this site for 6 years, but was on the previous version that crashed. Found this site in its original stage not long after the fall of Quizilla forums.

Henri found himself smirking at his roommate's enthusiasm but shook his head, "You make it sound as if there's something wrong with that. What you have is unique to you and your kind, and there's nothing wrong with it," he said, "I had a lot of.....alone time to master looking this way," his eyes grew a little distant but then he waved his hand, then gave a small smile, "So your distinct features are pretty awesome in their own right, therefore be proud of them," he said, moving to put some of his things away, "What brings you to the Institute?" he asked, trying to keep the cordial conversation going. He could tell Ivo was a little uncomfortable and wanted to help him to relax and just enjoy himself- or at least know that his room was a space where he could.

Tiona sneered at Emily's rebuttal, "Oh, this little form is so that idiots like you make the mistake of underestimating me," she said and started to prove it before there came a sudden chill in the air. She looked around for the source, but didn't need to think twice about who might be sending the message. The headmistress was not about to allow some stupid feud to start on her rooftops. Tiona shuddered before looking at them again, "We'll settle this some other time," she said, still trying to keep her bravado, but as she started back in Amelia was standing in the door, leaning on the frame with her arms crossed. Tiona back-pedaled, "H-headmistress!"
"My, my, my, such a noisy first day," Amelia said in a partially bored tone, shaking her head, "What should I do about someone who insists on being a trouble maker?" she put her hand to her chin before pulling out two silver bracelets. She snapped one on Tiona and started over to Emily, "And here Katerina was kind enough to let you off for the day, and what do you do?" she shook her head, "I expected better from you, Emily," she said, putting her hand out, wanting Emily to give her her hand to put the second bracelet on her. She wasn't going to put one on Eilidh as she been a bystander and not one instigating the issue- nor was she a repeat/soon to be repeat offender as far as she could tell at the moment, "These bracelets are going to limit your access around the school, such as places like these even with your master lock picking skills, and will allow us to monitor your behavior when you think you're being sneaky and getting away with something. For now they won't limit your ability to shift forms, but they will simply change to fit your needs. Push your luck and it will change," she said, clearly not leaving the terms up for debate.
Tiona grit her teeth and went downstairs, heading towards her room. Damn it all, she'd let that stupid girl put the target on her back. Course she didn't help herself by goading her, but still! Who did she think she was!? Tiona rounded the corner, throwing the door to her room open with a bang.
@Emu It doesn't have to be anything complicated, though I would be highly appreciative of the characters actually reaching the point where they can interact with others *coughs*@Burning Kitty*coughs* and maybe some actual details rather than a vague gloss over. I didn't write a novel either, but just enough that we see your character, see how they kinda feel about the whole thing cause they would have signed up in advance for this, and just sort of reacting to what's going on.
Ah, IIIIIIIII'm afraid I'm gonna have to say no to the Daemon summoning. I just feel like as a whole that's not a good plan and the council would definitely be like trying to banish that thing and her with it and even if she were to sneak out without them know she'd made some sort of pact, which would be impossible for them not to know, the higher class mages wouldn't stand for it either, or shouldn't stand for it because that's just not good. Awesome character, buuuuuuuut not the right place and context for it.

And I totally get the zero time for anything:
The sun rose above the splendor that was the Imperial City as it always had and the crystal tower that overlooked the whole of it glittered with its usual splendor.
The poor part of town would have been up hours ago, going to work, making the basic necessities that the rich lived on, doing what they could to survive and take care of their families. In the rich part of town, a select few would be rising with the sun- other than those who were up that early for practice or for study. They were to report to the western most gate of the city were a council member would be waiting for them to give them a map to guide them to their goal. It was fairly straight forward, though, as he would tell them, they would need to expect detours throughout Waylox. The country had been torn apart first by an usurper that dethroned its queen, and then by that same queen as she sought retribution against the country that sought to get rid of her after all she had sacrificed to protect them and keep the peace. There was a darker evil in that country than evil produced by the beast in the crag.
Some of the first to arrive at the gate- which stood about a mile away from the nearest buildings- were the Valtoris cousins. Miral and Ryfon were both astride horses of high breeding as they approached the older mage, but he did not even seem remotely impressed by them as the people in the lower quarters had. He was a council member after all, he lived even higher than anyone on this trip. He was also here to make sure the Grand Sage's puppet showed up to keep things as in control as they could manage from a distance. The Valrtoris cousins and the LaMontiya girl would know the most of the thing's existence than the others, who might have heard mere whispers, but know no details (That's not up for debate by the way). The cousins looked up at the rather morose looking gate, wondering why no one had bothered to fix the thing up, but Miral finally settled upon the fact that their workers- the nonmagical members of society- would be too at risk being this close to the dead wood. That being said she didn't miss the magical runes and markings that covered the entirety of the wall. While it looked in rough shape, nothing short of a dragon could get past it.
Ryfon looked around as they stood to the left of the mage, by his own directing, wondering what others had signed up for this potential suicide mission. Even when they passed the war in Waylox, they would be entering dragon country. True, dragons weren't the bumbling beasts as some tales made them out to be, but if any of them knew what they were up to, he doubted the dragons would let them just waltz on by. They were going to have to come up with reaons between here and there that the giants would buy and allow them to pass. Hopefully there were less rash individuals than his cousin would likely get fed up with the whole planning idea and decide to barge right in and try and show off her moves- which would be useless against a fire dragon. He sighed, suddenly nervous this whole thing was a terrible plan.He looked at Miral and whispered a question for the mage to her. He wasn't allowed to talk directly to him because of his lower station and lack of magical abilities.
Miral rolled her eyes but looked to the mage, "My cousin wishes to know if there are enough people signed on for this venture," she said in a rather bored tone.
The mage gave a sort of grunt as if he were personally insulted by the question, "The Grand Sage approved the start of the journey, that's all you need know, boy," he snapped directly at Ryfon who bowed his head as if to apologize. He hated the council sometimes. He turned his attention back to the road that lead up to the gate, waiting for their comrade in arms to join him
Yes, but NYX isn't the type to follow after just because she suddenly cuts off a conversation. She'd be like wtf and go about her business
*sighs* fiiiiiiiiiiiiiine but I legit have nothing for any of the new three to do. Nyx got ignored, twice, Alistair doesn't want to bother Kaezira in our thing cause the poor guy is overwhelmed, and Corra is waiting for the chance to blow something to kingdom come
Corra says to remember when she actually follows through with your goading that you brought it on yourselves
Yea, I think @MonkeyBusiness was (is?) working on a CS, but the more the merrier.
I'll start this bad boy up since I think we've got enough to get the ball rolling. You should have a chance to work on your CS while everyone's making themselves known lol
Nyx and Alistair are both kind of pushed out of their situations, so they're open for interactions unless I make Nyx storm after Gellert and be all offended that he blew her off, but that's not in her character. She give him a grandiose finger to the back and go on her "merry" way, but Alistair would be.... gullible in a sense that he's a curious little monkey that would do something stupid because its fun.

I'm debating on Corra just like making an explosion for the fun of it, but I don't know how useful it would be other than to start a forest fire XD

He had just turned his back to the door when Ivo came in. He luckily felt the slight change in the air and pulled his headphones out. He turned to face his new roommate as he introduced himself and followed up with the question, "I am," Henri said simply, though he figured he ought not be rude and end the conversation, "I'm Henri Altus. I would show you, but it'd be a little awkward with the small space," he said, looking around the room, "But I can do this," he said, looking up at his forehead as his horn appeared for Ivo to see, "I take it I'm the first unicorn you've had the opportunity of seeing based off your reaction?" it sounded like a statement, but he was asking a question. He wasn't trying to criticize Ivo, he was just making friendly conversation, though his version of friendly often didn't get interpreted that way.

"Tiona Gryphus," She smiled at Eilidh before giving Emily a bored look at her snide remarks, "OMG, did you just say ew? What are you, a "mean girl"?" she scoffed, "I didn't have to repick the lock after you did, genius, it doesn't automatically lock back, duh," she put her hands on her hips, "I bet you think you're some real hot shot because you aggravated the boss on the first day, but you ain't squat compared to what I've seen, toots, so why don't you roll that attitude on back a few notches before you make yourself look real smart," she laughed lightly finding her attitude kind of comical, ""Sides" there's nothing interesting around here yet so I figured what stupid thing you were doing next and lucky me, you're not completely useless. This is a perfect launching point for a little spin," she looked at her nails, making a flying motion with her other hand.
