Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

When I need a left sock, there is none. When I don't need one, there is a surplus. I think the world is toying with me.

Bio

I am Searat
Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.

My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)

As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.

Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.

I was the eldest in his family. Although poor, we lived a quiet and happy life in the small town located near the border between the kingdom of Mornfell and Ferros. Fallwatch mainly exported lumber and similar products to the kingdom of Mornfell but ,every odd generation or so, the town also produced individuals fit enough to be part of the guard. Those fit individuals came from well off families in the town and very rarely came from a poor background. In the small mill town of Fallwatch not a single soul; not my father, not my mother, not my brothers, not even I expected to be anything more than the son of a poor lumberjack. Though, things changed when the local guard came to the town to gather fresh recruits and saw me cut down a tree a span wide in two strikes of my ax. My family was so proud of me when they found out and even encouraged me to leave as soon as possible. With a foolish looking grin on my face I prepared my belongings and said my goodbyes and farewells before leaving the them and the town the next morning. That...that was the last time I ever saw my family.
Let's get back to topic. After my training was complete, I spent the rest of my youth serving under the local baron's guard. Work was boring but it did pay better than chopping wood back in town, and that made me happy. It was routine for me to send a part of my pay and a letter to my family every month. Though after the stone blight hit, they suddenly stopped. I didn't know what happened to them, so I took a leave and came to visit Fallwatch. My whole town was burned down. The burnt remnants were barely even visible when I arrived. My heart sank and I ran to my home...not even my baby brother survived. With a heavy heart I sat there alone in the cold for what felt like hours before I left to go back. Official reports claimed that it was a freak accident that caused the town to burn to the ground.
It took me months to discover what had happened. The baron thought that my connection with my family would be an issue to my dedication to the job, thought that it make me a liability to him. Said he couldn't have those kinds of problems so he planned a 'tragic accident' to befall my family, sent some faceless criminals to do the deed. Found a report that stated that the goons hired messed up and the fire spread too fast and razed not only my home and family but also the rest of town before anything could be done about it. It infuriated me. I had the evidence to condemn the baron for his actions...but I knew the court will take long to condemn him. He needed to be condemned now. So, later that night I sent the evidence to the proper authorities and I tried to kill the baron for what he had done. Even if I failed to kill him that night, his reputation would be besmirched and force him into hiding. I rallied my comrades for a coup against the bastard, but I had not anticipated the number of guards loyal to him alone. We got into a fierce battle and the baron did manage to escape. It was rotten luck for him that I'm decent pursuer and I tracked him down in a fortnight.
Not much is left to be said. As soon as that whole issue with me killing a minor noble, albeit a deserving one, was brought to public notice I was deemed a criminal and forced to adventuring and some mercenary work for a livelihood. I know that there were alternative options to how I could have handled the whole situation, but a mace to the skull solved the issue faster than any legal court could have.

//ABILITIES:
◼ Strong as a Bull | Gaius may not be the smartest or fastest, but his strength is beyond an average man's. If he hits you, you will not be getting up any time soon.

◼ Tough as Nails | Gaius' body has grown very durable throughout his life. It would take more than a couple of good hits to take him down.

//SKILLS:
◼ Unstoppable Force | Gaius utilizes a straightforward means of fighting. Rather than using a traditional set up of sword and shield, he prefers to grasp weapons with both his hands to cut, smash, or cleave through obstacles and opponents alike.

◼ Like a Hunting Hound | During his training in the guard, he was one of the best guards in regards to tracking down individuals. This skill helped him greatly when mercenary contracts needed him to seek out individuals.

//LIMITATIONS:
◼ Evil is Evil | Even if he is no longer part of the guard and a criminal himself, he retains little patience towards crimes or malicious acts.

◼ Not very Bright | He learned numerous things during his time in training and is no imbicile. Though he still has significant difficulty comprehending complex ideas or operating complex machines/devices.

//WEAKNESSES:
◼ Agile as a Bear| His size and weight combined with equipment make it very difficult to move very quickly and perform other acts of agility.

◼ Infamous| Gaius is still a criminal and is wanted for the murder of the baron. A number of guards and law enforcement are actively searching for him.

The lander's temperature didn't affect Karl significantly but Karl's fear of the void of space was still ever present and he could feel the sweat on his forehead drip down his face and heart race as the lander began it's decent into the planet of Molov. The shaking of the lander did not help. The sounds of heretical gunfire outside of the ship was soon to be the only thing Karl could hear. He had faced many a foes of the emperor, but anxiety still gripped onto him as the thumps and thuds of the heretic's weaponry were getting louder and closer to their lander.

"Prepare for landing in three minutes!" The pilot announced, clearly short of breath. "Say again, Prep-Fuck!" The pilot barely managed to spit out the message before the lander violently lurched. Karl barely managed to snag the sling of his lasgun before it slipped off his shoulder due to the sudden movement and tremors caused by enemy anti-air guns. The sounds of the lander's guns firing soon followed.

"Say again, Forty seconds, Forty seconds, Hard Landing!" was the only thing Karl managed to hear before the lander was struck twice by enemy fire. The feeling of dread sank into his heart as he could hear the hull tear open and the sounds of guardsmen screaming in fear as their comrades were sucked out of the lander. Oxygen was being sucked out of the lander as the air grew thinner and thinner inside the lander. Karl was very lucky to be far enough from the hole in the hull and was still capable of taking lungfuls of oxygen. The vox grew deathly silent and he could barely hear NCOs ordering guardsmen to take crash positions and take shallow breaths amidst the screams and curses. It was then he heard his superior officer blurt out a single directive to the men he was responsible for. "Sargeants! Corporals! Brace for impact!"

It was then Karl knew this was the inappropriate time to let his childish fear of death take over. 'I am part of the imperial guard! Brave men and women who fight for the glory of the Emperor and his Imperium! Fick my fear of death, I have a duty to fulfill!' Karl thought to himself, pushing back the fear and dread that gripped his heart. He finally stops sitting there doing nothing like a fool and begins to secure his gear and weapons to ensure none would get loose and be lost when the lander would crash. With his gear and weapons secured, he asks the Emperor for protection before he braced himself as best he could for the surely hard and rough landing.

"Understood, Griffin." Richard nods to his fellow agent before approaching the trail of unknown liquid. He crouches down to touch the black gel like liquid and to gain a small amount of it on his index finger. The liquid had reacted to Richard almost instantaneously and was quickly being purified simply by touch, evaporating into nothingness. He did not need any further inspections to know what kind of entity the creature was.

Richard quickly gets up from his crouching position and reports to Griffin his findings. "Griffin. I think the creature that we are looking for is demonic or at the very least malevolent in nature." To prove his point he quickly swipes some of the black liquid and presents it to the other agent only for it to evaporate into nothingness in front of Griffin's eyes. "Did you see the reaction? Only demonic or malevolent things react this way when I touch them but nothing this quick. I've dealt with my fair share of minor demons and malevolent entities, but this thing is different. We need to locate it soon." Richard was panicking slightly. Whatever this entity was, it was stronger than anything he had faced before.
The sounds of the fire crackling in the ancient fireplace soothed the cursed musketeer. The dilapidated building provided meager protection from an attack but would give sufficient protection from the weather. He was still tired but at the very least he was warm now. Roy lets out a sigh of relief at the small respite from the difficult trek and slowly got comfortable. He was about to enter the realm of dreams when an elder horned wolf burst through the already broken door of the dilapidated building. Roy barely managed to roll out of the way of the surprise attack, only to be met with the full weight of another elder wolf tackling him from the side. The force knocks the wind out of him and sends him crashing through an old table. The dust has yet to settle when one tries to go in for the kill and lunges at the seemingly helpless man. It's hasty decision is punished when a sharp piece of lumber tears it's stomach open. Even with the durable flesh of the elder, it is rendered ineffective by the combined force of it's lunge and the power behind the thrust of the musketeer. The blood and innards of the first wolf pour forth like water from a broken pail while the second stands it's ground, unsure to what to do next.

Roy recovers from his prone position and walks over to the gravely wounded wolf, sneers at the quickly dying beast and turns to face the second wolf. The first wolf is soon to die and Roy considers striking a downed enemy to be below him. Drawing his sword and his pistol, Roy goes to his combat stance. It understands the threat of this man poses to them individually and lets out a bone chilling howl and, as if on cue, two more jump into the building and to face Roy. Then he knew that he was in deep shit. He had remembered the articles in bestiaries on how horned wolves mainly rely on ambush tactics and hunting in pairs to take down a single target, but if that fails to kill the target or one of them perished, the remaining wolf would opt to be more cautious and let out a howl to summon more of it's kind...though, rarely, the alpha would come to deal with especially difficult prey personally. Roy hopes to the divines that it wasn't the case.

Sweat was dripping from his brow as he eyed the three elder horned wolves. 'With numbers like these, a direct fight would be suicide. Unless...' Roy quickly scans the room and observes half rotted support beams on the ceiling as well as the weakened load bearing walls. Time has worn down the building and given enough force, a load bearing wall would collapse and the whole building to follow soon after. Roy gained a brilliant idea and knew what to do. He acted upon it just as the three wolves decided to take the man down with a simultaneous lunge. As the three wolves lunge at him, he deftly rolls under the them to avoid the attack and set his plan into motion. All three to crash into a wall with great force and the weakened load bearing wall easily gives way, causing the whole building to tremble and quickly collapse in itself. The musketeer makes a mad dash to the outside and barely manages to escape as the three wolves are crushed under tonnes of stone and wood.

Roy gazes upon the ruins of his former camp and lets out a short bark of laughter at this victory. He thinks he had won and was about to get up and leave for a better camping position.. until he sees the massive alpha horned wolf staring at him. Roy is considered to be a courageous man but the sight of the gigantic horned wolf caused his hairs to stand on end and blood run cold but rather than letting fear grip him, he instead converts the fear into something more useful. Fury. He grits his teeth in both righteous fury and determination and takes a defensive stance against the alpha.

Rookie mistakes left and right...
At the very least we could talk to the drunk guy that tried to fight Mason/Shadow. Maybe he saw something?
@Blueflame
How strong of a demon is Mason/Shadow currently? Depending on his strength it would make things easier or harder to track him.
@Lucius Cypher
Does the golden necklace have any magical significance? or is it more of a symbol of power and seniority?
@Ollumhammersong
Is the vessel depressurizing rapidly? or does the lander has some sort of means to contain the area with the gaping hole?
