New Zealand is okay as long as you understand its limits. We have had problems with people picking their hometowns/nations and trying to make great powers out of them (my noob-self included, back when I first joined PoW). It was so bad we started calling them Hometown Super-powers. So yeah, New Zealand is fine as long as you play it realistically and understand that you're probably not going to carve out an empire. If you play it well, and for long enough, you may do something great with it, but New Zealand is not exactly the kind of nation to go around conquering shit or something.

I am trying to play it as realistic as I can. Does 100,000 soldiers seem too op? EDIT: Um oops. I think I made NZ a bit underpowered 9,500 full personnel. Oh geez

It can't be totally fantastical and it has to be rooted in something. And the point of time-line divergence here is at 1914, the further you get from that though the more something can be deviant. And we had a Philippines. But the player for that got tired of the slow pace of the RP. The country too does come with some pretty heft lore already written, so it's not nearly as flexible as you'd hope.

Quick question (also because I am too lazy): So we basically make our own versions of the country we want to use? And another, has anyone used the Philippines yet? :D (EDIT: So someone has.... Oh well. Correct me if I'm wrong though)
