I'm tempted to just write a single sentence for each and every one of the characters XD
There are 15 characters.

To write relations with.

Fuck.
@PrivateVentures

Algood, everyones made mistakes like that before <3
@BlackSam3091

Whelp, Ja'Far is going to die at 60 due to lung complications

I'm sure I've made that joke twice before. Buuuut, that fact still stands I guess XD
@MrDidact

Excuse me :P The gruff and buff Ja'Far can be a fencer, just a very aggressive one. Beating the opponents sword away with your own is a great tactic XD People are surprised when I say I do fencing, cause I look like the type of person who is more likely to lift weights than be a fencer.

He'd most likely fight with more agility and precision pretty much. Seeing as though they would most likely be using a point based system, Ja'Far could feasibly score a few points against the Turian. He'd need to get some of his gear though but it'd be cool writing a collab on that. I'll write that in my notes so that I don't forget, we could probably do this duel after à particularly stressful mission?

I think this mission can count as one of those XD
@MrDidact

What kind of swordplay would the Turian's have? I'd assume that the mexta is some sort of Turian longsword or like a Roman Gladius and that they have a martial art similar to old English Knights. It would be interesting to see him and Ja'Far duel, a smallsword would be most ineffectual in a combat-based scenario but in a duelling match? It could probably hold it's own although parrying may be a slight problem XD

Not that getting poked in the eye is any fun but a smallsword is typically very flimsy but incredibly flexible. I'd love to collab a recreational duel with ya in the future, something similar to Arena Roleplay perhaps? See who is the best duelist? It would be awesome <3
@MrDidact

I mean the difference is that those fools are bringing them into actual fights :P I meant that he would use it more for recreational uses, hand-eye co-ordination training and general exercise. I feel as though the high-class would love fencing as recreation or for settling disputes buuuuuut fights with longer, sturdier swords are probably more popular to watch.

Edit: But I do see your point that they probably like the sadism that comes with hacking your opponent to bits XD. I dunno, I just brought this up as an idea because it would be something him and Aegon can talk about. Plus, something new and another aspect to Ja'Far's character

Stabbing people recreationally creates a tight-knit community ya know? XD
@BlackSam3091

That would be wonderful <3 I would love for some fencing duels done between missions, that would be great.

Epeé is a little popular in NZ, I'm definitely seeing more people do it as more clubs open up in high schools. But foil is absolutely dominating right now in terms of popularity and unfortunately there aren't many sabre coaches to have big clubs and competitions with. My coach is teaching a mostly Hungarian type style with the pistol grip although he has taught French style with the French grip to us before.

Batarian fencing would probably more in the lines of the longer Epeé duels rather than the three second sabre duels. I'd imagine that the swords actually have a sharp point and their style would most likely be more parrying and catching the sword and aggressive movements. A focus on fleche, parries and lunges instead of feinting, dodging and footwork.

I wish I started fencing a little earlier but I'm glad that I decided to actually sign up. It fills a nice niche in my schedule ^^
@rivaan

That would be awesome <3 I could imagine Ja'Far in knee-high socks, breeches and a coat. He'd look hilarious XD

Wished fencing Epeé was a little more popular, I could actually fence more than ten people in the Auckland u17 regionals XD
@BlackSam3091

Yeah but looking back at the footage, I can see so many technical mistakes XD

In that photo up there, I could have gotten him with a lunge or a fleche to the face XD I'm getting better but I'm still screwing up every now and then

I was actually considering giving Ja'Far a sword so that I can write expert sword fights. It seems like something he would do in his spare time :P

Edit: I feel like Batarians would settle their disputes with a blood duel, he'd probably be trained in that to settle any claims of dishonorable action or insults against him. He was quite hated by the rich after all :P
