My Name is Shadow Daedalus, but I will accept pretty much any diminutive form you can come up with. I am active in the GMT Timezone, and I mention this to help coordinate posting times with others.
I like to RP things with fighting and grit, but chilled out RPs are good too. I'm a little out of practice, so my writing style falls anywhere between Low-Casual and High-Casual.
Wide range of tastes, like Sci-fi, Modern, Fantasy and Historical. This also includes a diverse range of Fandom content, especially Games and Anime.
I don't usually play more that three characters at a time, and I'm more comfortable as a male character, but I might try to expand more in the future, you'll have to wait and see...
Not very interesting, so feel free to ask me questions :D
Let me re-iterate, Turbo's CS has a higher priority than this one
Irono Ryuu Lit. 'Dragon of Colour'
Name Meaning: Derived from the phrase Iro no Ryuu, which translates to 'Dragon of Colour' in Japanese (Note: his name uses Eastern naming conventions, so his family name is Irono and his given name is Ryuu)
Race: Human
Weapons: 'Ryujin', a quickdraw Katana with in-built dust vials. The first feature uses gravity dust to push the blade from the sheath at high speed, increasing the speed and strength of the strike. The second uses 5 different types of dust (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth and Steam) built into a revolving chamber on the top of the sheath, much like Weiss's Myrtenaster. These allow him to apply different effects to the blade of his sword, or modify his semblance in the same way (see below). This is his primary weapon for engagements against few enemies, or those of considerable difficulty.
'Tetsu', collapsible bo-staff with dual dust chambers. This bo-staff is 5 feet long fully extended, and has a Myrtenaster-style revolving dust cartridge at either end. It holds 6 types of dust at anyone time (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Gravity, Steam), one vial of each in each end. It has a lower raw damage output than Ryujin, but makes up for it in increased dust efficiency. when used, the dust effects can be 'thrown' from the weapon, like as a jet of flame or shock-wave of stone. This is his preferred weapon against larger groups of weaker enemies, the grunt-farmer if you will.
Semblance: 'Call of the Dragon', by expanding his aura and using dust as a catalyst, Ryuu can form draconic wings, claws and horns of a specific element, as well as slightly increasing his speed, strength and stamina. Some of his forms can also use a unique breath attack. The downside of this semblance is that relies on dust to be at full potential, and also gains that dust type's intrinsic weaknesses.
Breath: 2x5m cone of flames Strength: Good against flammable objects, good for area denial Weakness: Water/Firefighting equipment
Breath: 3x3m cone of freezing air Strength: Good for hindering, slowing and trapping opponents Weakness: high temperatures
Breath: 7m line of lighting Strength: Good against metals, effective for stunning, can chain between targets Weakness: Insulation/anything that doesn't conduct, Grounding wires
Breath: None Strength: Good for defence, good against slow targets that need brute force Weakness: Fast and/or small targets, attacks with significant kinetic force
Breath: 3m stream of lingering smoke Strength: Good to confuse or shake off a target Weakness: Direct combat (Steam is his weakest form physically, as it has no defensive or offensive value)
Personality: Raised in a strict environment, Ryuu's personality can seem serious and maybe even a little harsh to those that don't know him very well, but as he gets more comfortable with people he relaxes more, and he allows a more laid back personality to come through. He can make jokes and makes playfully sarcastic comments, but if someone he is unfamiliar with or someone he had high respect for (like Ozpin and the other instructors), his demeanour changes to a more professional or respectful one.
History: Ryuu was born into a very traditional family in Nokori, a small village deep within the forests of Vale. The son of two of the village 'guardians', fighters dedicated to protecting the village from all threats (Grimm or Human), he was raised as a warrior from as early as he could hold a weapon. Trained with a simple Katana and Staff, he left the village to study at Signal Academy as soon as he was old enough, with the blessing of the Village Elder. It was there that he found out the importance of Dust in combat and incorporated it into his fighting style, constructing Ryujin and Tetsu to fit with this new style as well. He studied his full course there, and has thus enrolled into Beacon Academy to further his training as a Huntsman so that he can 'be a guardian for all those that need one'.
Nodding to himself, James turned around and slipped into the kitchen, pulling 4 mugs out of one of the overhead cabinets and laying them out on a small wooden serving tray. Unscrewing a jar of instant coffee from another cupboard, he used a tea spoon to scoop two spoons of coffee into three of the cups before placing them down to pull out a small saucepan and placing it on the side. Pulling out a carton of milk, he poured some into the saucepan before putting it on the hob on a low heat. Filling the kettle and putting it on to boil, he brushed his hands together as he turned back to the living room and returned to his position of leaning on the dividing wall.
"Milk and sugar in that coffee? Anyway, I would expected you would need at least a few things, because believe it or not I don't stockpile women's underwear..."
As he spoke, he hoped against hope that he had remembered to removed the last of Aoi's own underwear, lest he look like a fool. Even so, his old mentor's clothes wouldn't have been a good fit for his new ally anyway, considering they were tailored for someone of a more... robust figure. Van Helsing was a little surprise when the little assassin girl suddenly spoke up, having been quiet most of the trip here. Ordinarily, he wouldn't have even flirted with the idea of giving away the answer to what she wanted to know, but the way she spoke gave off an almost homesick undertone. As he listened closely, he could hear the familiar accent of the lower class London estates, recognised from his time as a genius physician. Yet, this served to raise more questions. What could a little girl from late 19th century London have done to qualify as a Hero for the grail war? Pushing the thought aside, he decided to give the girl a little benefit of the doubt with a kind smile as he pulled the cloth from over his mouth.
"How about, little one, I tell you my name, and you tell me yours? Is that ok with you? My name is Abraham, I was a doctor."
'A congregation of expendables, sent of a suicide mission.'
That was the first thought that came to mind as Kyras listened to the aging man's explanations. People the empire could sweep under the rug after it was said and done, regardless of the outcome. His expression became an icy mix of concern, anger and distrust behind his mask as he further explained what those outcomes would be. If they failed, they would all die from a spontaneous cardiovascular explosion, and if they succeeded... well any number of things could happen, the least worrying being a summary execution upon their return. Shrugging off the unusual sensation of the explosive compound within his veins with an icy look to the Templar responsible, he turned his face towards the other expendables before transitioning back the Ascended Templar.
"The allusion to a choice is insulting at best Markovic. This is not part of my contract and If I make it back alive I expect to be compensated accordingly. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a suicide mission to prepare for."
With that, he brushed passed the Templars standing guard as he swiftly made his exit, his legs carrying him quickly towards his quarters.
