Johnathon switches on the new tec he bought, and sighs in relief when nothing explodes. He then reads the manual, muttering as he ensures that he set it up correctly. He then starts it up.
He smiles. "We need jobs, so we can earn money, to buy things, that we need to do our jobs. Ah, the cyclical of finance."
He gently takes her hand. "How can I spoil you today Mary?"
He stops, and deliberately slows himself down, while Serqet watches in confusion.
After a moment, she can see a half faded scar on his left shoulder blade. "I was literally stabbed in the back, with a holy, super heated sword. It missed my heart by a few inches. My master kept me alive long enough for me to escape and heal myself."
"Watching something and hearing about it are two different things."
He begins kicking a stone down the street. "If we can even afford them that is."
He grins. "Should I take that as a yes?"
He smiles, and begins inhaling his food.
