He leans into her hug, tears running down his face.
He shakes his head, gesturing to the portal. "Only if Cesidia tells me to."
He growls, his eyes glowing. "I am not one of your subjects, princess. You can't order me to do anything."
His eyes glow, and the ground under his feet crack. "Why do you wish to condemn her to a 'normal' life? You want her to grow old, to suffer and die? You dare assume that I won't let her life a good, long, happy life before I fully claim her soul?" He chuckles deep in his chest. "You want to see the world you hate so much?" A glowing red tear splits open next to him. "Look at it then."
He keeps working, gradually heating the area around him to keep others away from him.
He shrugs. "Not her humanity. Just her soul."
Lukas looks up, and sighs, seeing that his forge is getting crowded again.
"Thank you for the offer, but no thank you. You take it. You have far more need then I."
