Elise nodded over at Volt as he explained his powers, "Sounds.. kinda typical. But at least its viable right?" she wondered if she had insulted him and continued speaking trying to be more polite "I don't really do much, you see.." she trailed off and looked at the sun struggling to explain her abilities. Deciding that explaining her abilities would be rather bothersome and come off as bragging she simply stated "I guess it just depends on the time, you'll see it one day. I'm gonna become one of the greats." She cocked her head and gave a quick smile before the sound of music overwhelmed the crowd, causing them to hush down. The heroes began introducing themselves and coming in a variety of flashy and exciting ways, a spectacle for what reason Elise didn't know. This 'League' was starting to get more and more silly by the minute to her. The group of mockers earlier appeared awestruck by the beings on the stage, she could do little but roll her eyes and continue watching them.

When the introductions ended, the hero known as Zenith came on stage and began to address the crowd with a rather typical speech although Elise sensed for once in the whole time she had been here some real heroism. By the way Zenith spoke she could tell he truly wanted to change the world starting today, but with this massive group of jokers she was sure it wasn't going to be off to a good start. When he made mention of the two choices she had, the group beside her jumped at the thought of displaying their abilities. Since she knew everyone was going to go out into the field and begin trying to one up one another, she figured that wasn't where she wanted to be. Elise was not one who enjoyed showing off, seeing show offs or being shown off. To her the fame and glam of being a hero was something of a problem but the thrill of standing on the edge of good and evil, being that line, is what made her keep to the league. She stood up and looked down to Volt who was so tall he still almost was at eye level even when she stood, "I'm going to be staying here, not in the mood for dealing with a bunch of jerks dick measuring, what about you?"
Elise nodded to the man who had introduced himself as Hi-Voltage, as he plopped down next to her she felt her body tense up. Who the hell is this guy, and why's he sitting with me? Intent on stuffing yet more food in her mouth to prevent the man from talking, she found herself staring down at an empty plate with an unfamiliar fullness in her belly. Sighing she looked over at the guy and studied him slowly. Volt appeared extremely tall and even sitting he towered over Elise, his suit reminded her of something from the 90s and he clearly was as amateur as she was. Smiling she spoke with a confidence one wouldn't expect of her "Hey there! Name's Eclipse, nice seeing a friendly face. So tell me erm.. Volt. What do you do? I mean like, powers wise."

Over his shoulder, Elise could see the group that had been shooting glances at her for a while now. It appeared to be only three individuals all relatively similar in fashion, most likely a trio of friends who found out one another had powers. There were so many beings here someone or at least some of them had to be the strongest? If two people were inhumanly strong which would be stronger? Her mind began to wander off thinking of how a super beings powers could be limited then she began to wonder if she could take them in a fight. She imagined at some point in the future, she would find out but that was an adventure for another day. Elise's eyes focused back in on the man in front of her, Volt, blinking slowly she realized she didn't notice if he had been talking or not. "Excuse me, sorry did you say something? I kinda went somewhere else for a second."
Elise wanted to gag, this place was full of people who hadn't taken this whole gig seriously she could tell. Many of the names and costumes these people wore simply appeared gimmicky at best, most likely simply put together for comedy. Some appeared to be serious and even experienced in the field, holding a certain demeanor about themselves and even allowed most of those types to begin to cluster. From her little bench she could see little groups assembling, those who did it for the fame and glory stood together on her left attempting to one up each another with the incredible feats they can do, the ones who didn't take this as a real profession stood around and mocked one another in a clever fashion howling in laughter which appeared to be the majority of them. From day one, it appeared this situation had attracted mostly fools but here and there some oddities attracted her attention both good and bad. Then a thought occurred to Elise, which of all the beings here held the most pathetic power?

The thought caused a stifled laugh escape her mouth before one of the more arrogant appearing persons next to her looked down and scrunched his face off muttering something under his breath that caused a young woman next to him to snicker looking over in Elise's direction. Instantly her mood deteriorated and she slumped in her seat, at least the place offered food she hadn't eaten in a week and the stupid outfit she wore cost all the money she managed to scavenge. Truth be told, the costume was nothing more than a leather piece suit with various belts attached on for god knows why. Scanning down her outfit she began to feel a bit out of place, "I should've never came" she mumbled out loud unknowingly, causing the group around her to begin laughing at once shooting gazes back at her. This was already off to an awful start she thought, before Elise kept her gaze down and began shoveling some more spaghetti in her mouth.
Done, I might change her Alias and a few little facts/bits but the powers, history and personality are all going to stay the way they are assuming they're fine now. Excited to start as soon as possible :P
Eh I think I got it to where I want it, what do you think? I'm trying to make her like a human shield during the day and a glass cannon at night.
I've rewritten it about 6 times trying to figure out like weaknesses mostly, so once I figure out what to make my weaknesses I was going to use that as a jumping base to fix my powers. Its mostly the day cycle that's making this hard for me. I'll get it done by tonight!
So are we only allowed the single character? Will there be a possibility of having more? I'm not saying I wanna go create more, I know you mentioned later on when we move forward we'll introduce villains and such but I'm asking more on like side characters or possibly side-kicks/partners of your character?
I think I'm done my character :P
I'm working on my character now, just finished writing up the powers but I don't know if I'm satisfied with them or if they're too much. I'm gonna continue working on it but if you have the time and read over it, I'd appreciate your thoughts but its not rush. The CS isn't anywhere near done.
Name: Elise Grey
Codename: Eclipse.
Age: 25 years old.
Gender: Female.

Place of Birth Seattle, Washington
Affiliations: The Nomads. League of Heroes.
Occupation: Former stripper, currently unemployed & homeless, street rat. "Professional Hero".

Appearance: Elise appears as a rather small female, standing roughly 5'5'' and weighing no more than a little over a hundred pounds, she has light skin that appears to grow more pale during the day and hair as dark as the night sky. Her eyes appear to go from a vibrant lively green during the day to a steely blue-grey at night. When she taps into her superhuman abilities, her eyes will either glow a reddish color during the day or a shimmering silver at night. It is also important to note that the brighter the sun is shining, the more in shape Elise appears to be almost growing muscle tissue when the sun is out, at night her body appears more slender elongating her fingers and ears while softening the sturdiness of her build.

Powers: Elise has the power of what she calls "celestial body empowerment", which is basically a way for her to explain how depending which of the two celestial bodies dominate the sky. During what is considered 'dusk' and 'dawn' or when the Moon and the Sun share the sky Elise's abilities are at their weakest having to transfer from one style to another.

Solar Empowerment
Elise's body absorbs the ambient solar rays which empower her physically, increasing her overall physical endurance, strength and durability while also granting her an abnormally high rate of regeneration. The skin becomes hardened, allowing her to take high levels of physical abuse with a high pain threshold. However she seems to lose most of her energy-based abilities her nightly counterpart wields, except for the light constructs which become much more powerful in the day at the cost of a more limiting range. This allows her to create slightly more complex light constructs instead of the basic shapes she does at night. It is also to note that during the day the energy takes a deep orange hue

Lunar Empowerment
During the night, her body loses all the physical increases and trades them off for powerful energy attacks. Namely the ability to release a dark blue, highly volatile plasma from her body in the forms of both blasts and beams, also using the energy to grant herself limited levitation. She can also use this energy to manipulate the light around her into basic geometric shapes, which have a much greater range than during the day. However weak her body is, Elise holds one defensive trait that she can utilize at night, her body can become intangible for a maximum of six seconds at a time requiring her to hold her breath. This time spent intangible gives her just enough time to evade one single string of attacks before she is forced to solidify once more. She may also 'release' her energy and transform herself into a being of energy which grants her high speed flight.

Skills: Elise lacks any formal training for anything that could be considered an asset, instead her lifestyle has taught her how to deal with a large variety of characters, granting her an impressive level of charisma. Elise also has a sort of street knowledge that few people could really understand, having grown up around the scummiest of the scum.
Equipment/Resources: Generally, Elise requires nothing for her abilities. Instead she carries a backpack often which includes a spare change of clothes, her cellphone and a variety of other basic items any person may carry. When in need, Elise can hide the backpack and come to it later.
Weaknesses: During the day Elise's body is hardened and allows her to be a more defensive fighter, as opposed to her nightly counterpart. She lacks range and utility in this form but makes up for it in raw defensive traits allowing her to become one of the middle class close-range brawlers. Her nighttime counter part holds all the power the daytime one does not, allowing her to dish out high levels of damage but at the cost of making her extremely vulnerable and frail. Her power level itself is also dependent on the cycle of the moon, while most nights it stays relatively the same when in the new moon phase she loses a large chunk of her power yet during a full moon she appears to get some sort of boost in power.

Psychological Profile: Elise is a young woman who has seen her fair share of terrible things, causing her heart to grow tough and allowing her mind to handle even the most strenuous situations while keeping cool. One thing Elise learned during her time alone was keeping a leveled head often resulted in you keeping said head. Having lost many friends throughout her time Elise has grown somewhat cold and aloof to anyone who she comes in close contact with, eventually reaching a point where she will shut them out. She acts as something of a lone wolf, preferring to stay alone seeing most humankind as bad. Everyday she finds herself struggling morally with just how evil this world is. She knew that men who would give a bullet for one would just as easily put it in another, people were not the kind and gentle creatures they imagined. They were dark things which occasionally felt bad about all the things they had done. Elise herself is one of the kindest and most honest persons you could ever meet, she aims to be what every human should; honest, thoughtful, empathetic and courteous although at times even she struggles with her morals.
