That's problematic, because I thought my observation was an incredibly good one. I mean, you can still do it and not end up fighting your own shadow, it just might take longer.

Just remember a Shadow is only waiting for you to say that it's not you, so the acceptance can either take a long time, or you reject it outright.

Kato should deal with his pursuit for his sister and the fact that she's left. Perhaps a fear that she probably left because she got sick of helping him all the time, thus leading to a self-hatred of being too weak or something. Shadows should address the most trying issues within a character. Need to examine every psychological effect of every event in their lives.

These are my observations.

Maybe you should think about why your character is obsessed with Akemi in the first place.

Maybe the obsession came from a desire to replace her dead sister, and is as twisted as it is due to a fear of losing someone dear again.

Your shadow would probably examine the part where your character is afraid to move on or leave Akemi for just a little bit in fear of losing the one who filled the large void in her heart that Keiko's death had opened up.
