"Hm? Whuzzis? Wasn't Ana playing around with this...?", he said to himself, picking up the tablet and walking towards the helm. By the time he got to the captain's seat, he was sifting through the files already. There were maps, diagrams, all that, but he wasn't interested in any of that... He just wanted to see if he could find something sugary and fly there and pick some up or something. He swiped past a large bunch of things, most of which seemed wholly important... 'Super soldiers'... 'Operations'... 'Confidential'. None of that mattered to him. Though in classic style of browsing databases, he got bored and gave up trying to find out what the best sweets in the universe were at the moment and just settled on the super soldiers file out of frustration and boredom.

"Mhm... Mhm... Hmmmmmm... Hm. Huh... Yeah this is boring", he decided. Super soldiers, only humans were successful in creation, yadda yadda, strength blah speed blah blah. One per country blah blah. He finally put the tablet down and just looked blankly into space...

There should be nothing on the ship at the moment, other than minimal necessities, and personal belongings.

We have no more than that. You can keep your ship, but we have pretty much no other ships other than any personal ones... And escape pods. That said I doubt you'll have the right tools to fix your fighter.

We're starting at square one with supplies and resources after all.

"Advance!", on his order, the group quickly quelled the small group of shadows and cut through their front line. The Enchanted Woodland, this dungeon appeared to be forest based. It was annoying how frequently the shadows could heal themselves, but that only meant they had to hit harder and faster, something Noboru was incredibly eager to do.

The events over the last week hazed over quickly. The confirmation for Leiko's presence in the dungeon came almost immediately. How no one died in that time was beyond him, it appeared that the mirror world ran off of it's own time, so time and space was warped... Probably. He wasn't a quantum theorist. In any case, Saya reported the incident to the police, and ever since Wednesday there were police patrols seen all around near the school grounds, both for search and patrol. With Golden Week on the way, it was likely they would try and increase security... But the police station was small, they couldn't patrol everything.

In any case, it was their job to do their work in the dungeon. Rui, Matt, Noboru and Kami made a full team or so Kazuki said.

The Enchanted Woodland looked quite fetching, if it weren't for the shadows, a picnic here wouldn't be such a bad idea. As they trudged forward, Rui began to think... Are these dungeons a reflection of the mind? Noboru's was a reflection of his troubles, but Matt's was different, strange even. Like it was a fantasy... Was this dungeon like Matt's in that way? Well, they'll find out when they get to the end...

The dungeon's lush scenery actually visibly began to deteriorate as they got deeper, but soon they made their way into a forest... Well, the entire thing was a forest, but this one location in particular was unique. As they continued, they began to notice that the ground below was getting bouncier... Bouncier? This was solid grou- oh my god. That's the ground, fifty feet below them. What they were standing on was a large web network.

"Oooh this is a creepy feeling... I'm sensing countless shadows and one big one...", creepy was right. Around them, the party began to hear the countless clicks like insects, fangs baring and clicking as they saw countless spiders scrawl across the treetops, very soon a large spider rappelled itself down, upon it's abdomen was a giant mask, signifying it's status as a shadow, the same went for every other smaller one... There were literally countless, countless tiny spiders.

"This may take awhile..." he responded to Megami.

"Everyone, let's try not to get too far from each other. Cover each other's backs. Use spells to thin out the smaller ones", he stated.

Warakuma Amusement Park

Today was essentially the beginning of Golden Week, so there was a special half price on everything for the whole week. It was no surprise there were many families here, even with the whole kidnapping thing. It was Golden Week after all, people just wanted to forget that there was such an event going on. Though there were just as many couples as there were families at the amusement park, most of which were highschoolers or middle schoolers. It won't be until later in the week that more adults would be here, since that was when their days off applied.

In any case, today seemed to be full of excitement at the amusement park. The mall area was fairly peaceful at the moment, many of the people who worked a job at the stores there were out for Golden Week too.

Heroes of Beacon - the Next Chapter

I was taking a peek through IC.

Okay... It takes awhile to figure out who is doing what. I managed to find when the day shifts though.

On the other hand, I'd like to make some pointers.

First of all this is a pretty big RP, we have 3 pages worth of characters alone. Can we please have labelling in all of everyone's posts? Like their location, character name (people tend to associate a player with their character, or the other way around), and maybe time of day or the date?

No need to go back and add them, just add them starting now.

It's nitpick, but I'm trying to catch up and that's making it difficult.

Also who is still active in my team?

Actually, can Lug please do a roll call? We have 3 pages of characters, but I find it hard to believe I'm only seeing several people.

From across the cover, you can see a moving whirlwind of a laser blade as Valerius managed to get the chance to close what little distance there was between defining points of cover. There weren't many left. Jack had taken the ones skirmishing and Anastasia managed to soften up a particular route. Valerius cleaned up whatever was left with incredible speed and efficiency. It was insane to think a human could move this fast, but that's exactly what was happening. As he reached the target location, there were two people there. The one he saw on the comms who was Ana's friend, and a cat dude.

Anastasia was visibly heart-torn to be told to leave him here. Of course as he expected she refused that and told him to carry off the cat back to the ship. Valerius recognized that look in the man's eyes. Those were the eyes of someone who had resigned to their fate, eyes he saw fairly often even before his 'sleep'. In any case, no use brooding over that. He hauled the cat guy out of there and waited for Anastasia to return, which she did, with her friend. Turns out he had a bomb strapped to him too. Of course, he was let off the ship, and before impact the explosion occurred. It didn't look like the two had broken eye contact until the final moment either. Valerius simply turned away and then threw the cat onto the ship's seating arrangement in the loading bay.

"So what now", she said, turning to him as he was walking towards the exit.

"What now...? We get something to eat. I'm bloody starving", he responded. Before he left the loading bay though...

"I suggest you get some rest. Friends dying is a rough process", and with that he was out. Speaking of food... How are the supplies looking? One hundred years is guaranteed to mean there's nothing good left. Perishables and all that... Maybe they should make a stop at a town or something...?

"Huh? A gun? B-but wait you don't understa-", she was gone before he could explain he was absolutely useless with firearms. He can hardly hit a thing even within 3 feet of him. He really didn't get why, but he just physically could not use a firearm well... Well, at least he can throw it. Funnily enough, he can 'handle' them, just not use them, so he was able to load and arm them. Probably the only kind of weaponry he can use other than blades is... Explosives? He really only had to throw those. As Anastasia gave the all clear to advance, Valerius immediately drew one of his blades and darted through. He was fast, incredibly fast. As he swept past Anastasia he dropped the gun she gave him next to her with a note saying, "I'm godawful with guns. Keep it".

As they got closer, the cover was actually a little thicker, since they were getting closer to a more 'urban' location. He managed to catch two soldiers who were moving their position to keep their pressure up around the sides, slashing the first one in the back with his laser blade. Thing had a crossguard and everything, it was kind of fancy, even a broad blade, which was rare. The blue laser sword cut and burned through the soldier, killing him almost immediately, as he used his falling body as a means to leap above the second soldier, who is just now realizing Valerius' presence. He managed to leap over, doing a spin and slashing the barrel of the soldier's gun before landing behind and doing a rapid horizontal slash, all in a single motion.

These were only stragglers though as a consequence of him managing to advance faster than they could reposition. He immediately stepped into whatever cover he could find as the soldiers resumed their assault. He was going to need another chance to get close. Anastasia should've seen as he ran past. He was able to close distance with incredible speed, hopefully she would find him a chance to get into one of their key positions...
