I'm not sure what arrangements they allow, but it seems a lot of players are making two characters, a guardian and a non-guardian. I still have objections about that.

It's a simple mirage technique used as a counter. It's mostly a Rain technique, but has a small Mist trait. What the move does is creates an illusionary clone of the user that upon being struck, will lash at the attacker and suspend and completely stop their movement for a short moment, as well as eating away all of their momentum, meaning if they were in the air and were struck by this, would simply drop to the ground. The mist aspect is that the user turns invisible for the duration of the clone.
I had other mist techniques planned, but this counter-type one is kind of core to his style. It's a defensive/punish fighting style that uses trickery as one of it's factors.

But understood, though no small exception? Because one of his core techniques is a mirage move, is the reason. It's a minor and simple move, but perhaps he could simply be utilizing mist without realizing it, but still actively utilizes rain?

Though long story short, if I'm allowed Mist flames as well, I'll take Rain Guardian.
