Alex gave a large confident grin, glaring daggers at Jake who just rolled his eyes and shrugged, as if unimpressed. The young red head huffed before glancing around the sphere, perking up as she spotted Naisha in the booth and gave a big grin, waving in response. Giving a thumbs up before glancing up a bit as she heard Wakka's voice call to show off their playing skills. After all, diving wasn't the biggest part of Blitzball.
Watching as several of the Besaid Aurochs dove within the water, they waved to the juniors. "Alright little Leaguers! Try showing off your kicks! Yah goin' to eva shoot, then we gotta see just how strong you are and how well you can aim. Kick the ball to the Auroch in front of ya! Course ya gotta show you got a good eye and catch a ball." Wakka instructed, as he tossed several balls into the water. He was getting older, but his arms were still plenty strong as the balls whizzed into the stadium. Although the guy was a big goof, he was actually really strong. After all, he could throw a ball across the water and hit something far off with a ball, and with enough force to make it bounce all the way back to him.
The abnormally tall girl flicked her blue eyes as Blitzball's jetted into the stadium, and she quickly swam upward, she swam backwards and kicked a incoming ball towards one of the Aurochs. It was slightly off as it went for the shoulder, but he caught it and was a bit thrown back by the power behind it. The Auroch flipped a couple times backwards before trying to regain his balance again.
Alex swam up straight again and grinned proudly. Before flinching as she felt something slam the back of her head and she whipped her head around to glare at Jake who hummed innocently as he caught a Blitzball. Growling as she rubbed her head she perked up as Wakka spoke up again.
"Ah! Very good! Now we gonna have one ball and ya gonna have to try your best to get it for ten minutes! Longer to you have, the more points to get! Ready? Blitz!" Wakka called out.
One of the Aurochs then tossed a Blitzball and all hell broke loose. Competitors struggled to get the ball, people getting tackled left and right. Alex flicked her blue eyes around the water sphere before seeing a boy with the ball. Perking up, she grinned before charging, swimming like a fish as she slammed her body against his. Quickly grabbing the ball as her opponent was flung right out of the sphere and into the safety nets below.
Alex ducked under a tackling opponent, swimming down and up, spinning and swimming over another, before shouldering another. Overpowering them and sending them flailing backwards. As someone tried to take the ball from the front, in which she wrapped it protectively with both arms while ramming her shoulders to try and get rid of him. She felt a harsh blow against the middle of her back that made her lose her grip. Snarling as someone stole the ball, and she looked to see Jake. Who had probably tackled her from behind. He grinned before quickly swimming away. Mentally cursing, the red head knocked a few of her opponents out of the way before swimming after him.
"Two minutes left! At least we got some feisty contestants this year yah?" Wakka laughed loudly.
