Avatar: The Fallen Order

Bu

Bu had been in the middle of enjoying his late morning snack when the commotion started. While he normal didn't trouble himself with such trivial things as thieves, there was an unusually large crowd this time around. Perhaps it was worth a look. After grabbing a drumstick to eat on the way, Bu was off.

Moving through the crowd wasn't exceptionally difficult for someone of Bu's size. People tended to step aside simply to avoid having their toes crushed. Soon he was close enough to hear what was going on. He was just in time to hear the thief claim to be the avatar. That was a bold claim considering how the Order seemed entirely devoted to tracking the avatar down. This could also be just some crazy stunt or a dare, but he was definitely a water bender, which the rumors had said the avatar was. If this guy was serious, this was a huge deal indeed.

Bu decided he had to do something. Some others had spoken up in the water bender's defense, but Bu knew better. You weren't going to just 'talk it out' with earth benders. This required a more active approach.

Bu made his way up to the roof of one of the adjacent buildings to execute his extraction plan. There was still no guarantee that this was the avatar, but he most definitely wasn't going to find out if he landed himself in prison. Bu erected an earthen wall between Mallo and the guards, granting him a temporary moment of privacy. A pillar of earth then erupted violently below his feet and sent him skyward. Bu then plucked him out of the air as he flew by and pulled him over onto the roof with him. The other earth benders probably had removed the wall by then, but Mallo was out of sight now.

"You're doing a fine job so far, Mr. Avatar," Bu said as he took a bite from his drumstick. "If you really are what you say, then I recommend laying very low. There are a lot of people looking for you."

Name: Bu
Age: 21
Appearance: Bu is about what you could expect a typical earth bender to look like. He wears a simple green vest with dark green pants. He has short, black hair and he wears sandals on his feet. His eyes are hazel in color and he has a slight tan.

Bu comes in at 6'3" tall and he is slightly on the heavy side, his slightly bulging belly the result of his general laziness.

Faction: Earth Kingdom
Bender: Earth
Subcategory: Metal
Bio: There isn't much to tell about this one. Born and raised in the Earth Kingdom and trained by his father in the ways of earth bending, his life was pretty typical. Earth bending seemed to come to him naturally and he learned well, but he lacked the motivational drive to do anything. His parents made the joke that Bu simply couldn't just sit around waiting for the avatar all his life and that he would have to make something of himself eventually. What his parents never imagined, however, is the irony that might arise from their harmless teasing.
Personality: Lazy. Bu is in no hurry. He loves good food and taking it slow. He is friendly, easy to talk to, and doesn't hold grudges as long as you're sincere in your apology.

However, he is not to be underestimated. He is very observant and wise. He is also a fairly powerful bender in his own right and will not hesitate to pummel those who seek to harm him or his friends. Do not let his laziness fool you. Bu may be the first to go in search of the nearest restaurant, but he's also a powerful ally and a loyal friend.

Family Relationships: Both of his parents are alive and well, but they leave Bu to his own devices. He's too lazy to get himself into trouble.
Other: Bu is in possession of a large iron hammer. The handle is four feet in length and on top of that sits the head of the hammer which is two feet long, a foot tall, and a foot wide. Despite having fairly high strength, Bu is only able to wield this massive weapon effectively with the assistance of his metal bending.

I was originally going to make a fire bender, but then we immediately got two of those right off the bat. So then I'm like "Ok. I'll make an earth bender instead." And after I did we immediately got two additional ones.

I may just have to switch things up depending on the final count.

Well, ouch. Katty shut down poor Calvin real quick. She hadn't even asked what his plan even was. If that wasn't enough, her "better" idea involved stealing a car. What a heroic thing to do.

Despite the fact that he didn't agree with the idea he dutifully scrunched himself into the back seat with his teammates. Four bodies trying to sit on a seat meant for three was a tight fit, but they made it work. Next thing he knew they were already at the harbor after crashing through a police barricade. After a moment of confusion he took notice that Accel had been riding shotgun. So her crazy speed boost thing worked on cars too? Neat.

As the fight broke out the twins seemed to have it mostly covered. Calvin then noticed Katty make a run for boat. And to think that she thought his idea was bad. Still, freeing the hostages was basically the whole point in these hostage situation deals. He would approach from a different angle, however.

Calvin lowered gravity's pull on himself and leapt. With all the clown goons distracted he should have no problem making it to the boat, right? After floating over the chaos below he slowly descended and found himself on the roof of the ship.

Alright. So far, so good. He was on top. Katty was below deck. So...um..

Now what?

He could attempt to regroup with Katty, but there were an unknown number separating the two of them. Calvin crept over to the edge and looked down. He could see the hostages from here. The guy in the chair he could set loose if it weren't for the gang leader still dancing like an idiot with the woman. He needed a distraction. Calvin took a look around and scratched his head.

Perhaps I could have put a bit more thought into this, he thought to himself.
