Appearance: Edward is a mountain of a man standing at 6'7" with a short beard and a beer gut. His black hair is short, but unkempt, only growing long enough for him to easily cut it himself down to a less irritating length. Eddy's beard, however, receives much better care because of the pride he takes in his ability to grow it out. His wardrobe is incredibly simple, wearing plain shirts and sturdy cargo pants because more pockets is always more better. He has a resting grumpy face the majority of the time, his piercing blue eyes constantly scanning for threats or looking for a fight.

Biography: Edward Sherling was always large fellow. His poor mother nearly died giving birth to him and other children were very cautious when near him. His father was a belligerent drunk, a trait which Edward inherited from him, but it was tempered by his mother's care. Edward and his father clashed repeatedly as he got older, and after sending his father to the hospital it was decided that it would be best for him to move out on his own. To live by himself, however, he would need some way to support himself. What better line of work for a belligerent giant than private security?
His first foray into security work was as a bouncer at a club. The number of incidents that normally occurred at the establishment noticeably decreasing simply by having Edward on the premises. Working at a club wasn't very exciting for very long, so he continued looking and found a job at a proper private security company. Edward would work for that company for many years, until the day came when somebody pushed too many of his buttons. He was working at an advanced researched facility at the time and one of the researchers was got attempting to steal important classified documents. Edward was sent to apprehend him and escort him off the premises. The researcher proceeded to insult Edward in every way conceivable on their way out of the building, but then he took it much too far and brought Edward's mother into it. Unfortunately for the researcher, Edward was a momma's boy, and very large and freakishly strong momma's boy. The researcher was found in a dumpster, beaten to within an inch of his life with many broken bones, internal injuries, and head trauma.
After nearly killing a man it wasn't easy for Edward to find further employment, because he was now considered a dangerous liability due to his little outburst. As luck would have it, employment would find him. ExoGenesis was looking for a Security Officer and they weren't too picky about specifics as long as he had the qualifications.
Trait 1: Violence is the Answer
Edward has faced very few problems that couldn't be solved by simply hitting it harder. As such, his problem solving skills aren't quite what one would consider optimal.
Trait 2: Lumbering Behemoth
Edwards massive stature comes with great strength and toughness, but it is difficult to get so much mass moving with any amount of speed. While he can sprint, he is slow to accelerate and he is not light on his feet.
Trait 3: Ever Vigilant
One of the most important skills when working in security is situational awareness. His eyes are sharp and always scanning for danger or anything out of the ordinary. He's also gotten very good at reading people to determine what they might do so that he can be prepared for it.
Trait 4: Professionals Have Standards
He takes his job very seriously and immediately confronts and perceived threats that he may encounter regardless of the danger. His job also takes precedence over his feelings, so even if he doesn't like you he will still keep you safe if it's his job to do so.
