My Very Brief Bio

Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

Warning: May contain mild shit posting. (Because I cannot take discussing communism as a possible good thing seriously, even in the slightest.) I have read none of the previous arguing but (barely skimming) it already seems like personal attacks have been done, because of f**king course they have. So please refrain from the glorious personal ad-hominems if you could. (to me and others having this discussion.) Thank you. :D

You may not agree with everything this thing states, but just hearing karl marx's ideas of how of he wanted people to be, is scary as shit..."MOST people shouldn't work or do anything at all. High Unemployment? That's great! Try calling it "FREEDOM!" that just happens to keep you and your family poor." "Profit from work = Theft" <- Can't imagine this being said by anyone working like the person, under real communism, the person who invented the internet should be just as poor as someone who never accomplished anything...or even like the "fight for 15." people, can't earn more if you aren't suppose to earning "profit" to begin with.

I feel like people arguing for communism are purposefully doing it to be controversial...(*Note: Generalization doesn't imply YOU (random reader) is doing so.) Ignoring how awful communism is and every time it's practiced it fails and leads to mass murder.

Because when people like this try to debate it...and the question is "Does a women have a right to say no to a man asking for sex and can a man stop another man from eating your arm." And you reply with "I believe in Majority Rule." I DO NOT want to follow your belief system.

My liberal/left side questions, since socialism and communism are different but both lead to the wealth redistribution that they both clearly want. Why would one prefer communism OVER socialism?

There's my two cents. Now I disappear and wait to be called evil. ^3^
Banned because boredom is not an excuse to ban someone...you need to at least make something up. >:c

Thanks, a lot to go through, and I will do so at my own pace. ^3^ (I did happen to attempt to listen to Be by Common before. Though one the early songs "Go" I found silly (in a bad way) sounding, so I stopped early. Though maybe I'll give it another shot. I've liked albums that I didn't on my first listen before. So we'll see.) Like I said, appreciate the large pool you gave me. :3

Edit: I just decided to start listening to everything in order, to see how many I can get through. Not gonna lie unfamiliar with Ween, but "I'll be your johnny on the spot" is pretty damn enjoyable track, and right now it kind of reminds me of the Beatles on far more drugs...Will give my overall feelings of the albums once finished with all of them.

I don’t think I’ve ever attempted to quantify mood in my record collection. There are many things I’ve attempted to quantify, but it has never been that aspect of music as it varies. There are brilliantly written songs about hopeful and optimistic fonts just as much as there are profound works scripted in cynicism and despair. I don’t go out of my way to seek out mood very often, but on that loose point I’d like to say when I am depressed or anxious I often listen to depressed and anxious music such as I listen to the opposite when I am not. When my mood is neutral it ends up a little of column a and column b, as well.

I do agree that good music is pretty much anywhere you look, if you look hard enough for it. I'd possibly consider writing purely positive vs negative music might require completely different writing to make them brilliant. But I know plenty of overall positive songs that are brilliantly written, but a lot of them do stem from triumphing over the greatest struggles. The 'finding the light through the darkness' hopefulness that is a strong sentiment, but I'd argue it still needs that "negativity" or the more accurate word "drama" to be powerful.

The idea of not searching for mood in music is an interesting one and really I don't have much consistency in my playlist or when just casually looking up stuff to listen to either. Listening to some sad melancholic rap to, in your face metal, back into some happy pop song on the fly. Usually only in the most extreme moods do I every really purposefully avoid certain music. Though I am interested in asking, does your "seldom searching for a certain mood in music" include when your writing/roleplaying? Do you/can you not write with music playing? I find it sometimes a necessity for me to write certain scenes I'm creating with the write music to get me into that mindset.

I do not agree with this assessment. Many albums have proven that music attempting to inspire “light” emotions can be just as intelligent and profound as any dark record. It just so happens that the tortured artist point-of-view is a well-known perspective and while it is true that much profound music has come from the “dark side”, that does not mean that the opposite cannot or is not.

What are some examples you'd consider is purely wholesome, good and optimistic albums. (not just songs.) But entire albums with nothing but positivity, ignoring or minimizing as much as possible of the drama and the adversity and the overcoming of such things. That is overall a brilliant piece of writing? I know a lot of fantastic albums where the light is at the end of the tunnel, and is so strong because of the darkness previously displayed. But I really don't have many all fun and games albums that I'd consider lyrically brilliant or anything but fun to listen to. I suppose other than the parody and silly ones that come to mind. (and the good musically though not lyrical in writing, purely instrumental bands that put on the feel good vibe.) So a couple examples would be fantastic. ^-^

When it comes to albums, most contemporary pop music is a singles game and not an albums game. That is why even the most conventional and basic rock music will outsell basic pop music on a median average. You must understand that just because pop art is called pop does not mean it is popular; that is a longstanding musical myth that anyone with a modicum of education in music understands.

I do understand that. Those "pop is popular" discussions were not ones lead by me. I don't know if I made that clear, but yeah I'm aware that's not the truth. But don't have much more to add. <.<
@Fabricant451 You brought up a lot of interesting and good points that I would love to discuss...but according to the rules That I'm not stupid enough to not know they we're made specifically for me. I can't.

1/10. I'd give it an 11 if I liked any resident evil aside from the 4th one. :P

(And because I don't care about rating either.)

@TwelveOf8 6/10 Maybe I wasn't in the right mood, because I played this game and I did like most of the soundtrack. but I just didn't really vibe to the song and it got a little boring. (and that's odd since vocal tracks usually do better at standing out.) I did enjoy the little fast piano bits like at 2:20 but they went quick.

Just noticed nearly every female character has the same color. xP I guess if any collabing happens that will have to be changed.
Cyrus Tucker

The eruption of noises and cries of war were enough to pierce his eardrums. His eyes dilated once he mustered up the courage to open them. Towering infernos blazed across the skies, earthquakes with massive spiral stalagmites bursting from the ground and causing the disturbing creatures to sink into the depths of an abyss, tidal waves, lighting storms and a horizon of missiles all appearing out of nowhere. Helplessly adrift in the middle of an unfamiliar sky, looking down at the chaos, like some kind of omnipotent presence. Blinking with a nervous sweat dripping down to the tip of his nose, impulsively licking it off and tasting the salt. His heart was pounding, this couldn't be real but something compelled him to keep watching. This ongoing battle outstretched his field of vision, what was most concerning, was the appearance that it would never cease. "What on earth is happening here?" Cyrus questioned. Suddenly, hearing a loud crashing sound.

He nearly catapulted out of his bed, smashing the front of his forehead into the cymbal being held by his younger sister standing in middle of his bed. Letting out a yell before clutching his forehead, glaring up at the pleased grin of his sister. Quickly calming down and rubbing his tender forehead, glaring at her while still half asleep. "Why the hell are you on my bed?"

"Waking you up, mom is gone and she told us to wait for you to wake up, so you could make us something to eat." She answered. Cyrus exhaled longingly and stood upright and grabbed his sister while she let out shriek followed by laughter as he mercilessly tickled her stomach. "Stop it! T-that tickles!" She pleaded through laughs. He smiled eventually stopping, then quickly pulling some clothes from his closet.

"Alright, let me shower first. I'll make everyone the frozen pizzas." Cyrus replied in a casual demeanor throwing his outfit over his shoulder, glancing over to her.

"Yay! Sorry for hitting your head." She quickly apologized, "Big bro is making pizza!" She called out while going through the hallway and down the stairs. He looked at himself into his mirror to inspect if he had any visible bump on his forehead, before pulling of his crumpled up bed sheets spotting something hidden beneath the sheets. Appearing to be some kind of small colorful plastic device.

"What...is this?" He questioned staring at it but shrugged it off and carried that and his outfit into the bathroom down the hallway, closing and locking the door. Getting a shower prepared and dumping everything on the sink with the strange device resting on top. The hot water started pouring down while he stretched himself out, though relaxing his body, his mind was stuck analyzing the dream, it hadn't been forgotten like most normally would. He could still recall it in precise detail. "I've never had such a strange dream before..." He muttered softly, "Oh, what does it matter? I shouldn't get so worked up over nothing." He declared before massaging his scalp with sweet strawberry smelling shampoo.

"Cyrus! I need you to answer me!" The thunderous voice called out of nowhere, causing him to accidentally collide the back of his head against the wall from his sudden movement. Blinding light flashed throughout the bathroom, vanishing as fast as appeared. Cutting his leisure time short, stepping out of the shower and searching for the voice that called out his name, before slightly groaning.

"Well...at least the front of my head doesn't hurt anymore." Cyrus quietly uttered.

Nicole Brooks

“That was a weird dream...” was the first thing Nicole thought. She concentrated on listening to a conversation coming from the other room that was barely audible, sitting up from the couch and wandering through the darkness without any trouble, having a familiarity with their living room. She continued onward, toward the light from the distant end of a familiar hallway. Pushing the door open letting out soft creaks before casually peaking inside, observing a woman with her back turned to her, currently on the phone.

"Yeah, she's still asleep. We stayed up all night and watched movies together. No, there's no trouble. She's a very sweet girl...I don't have a problem with you picking her after work, she can stay until the afternoon." The woman answered in a hushed voice while holding the phone to her ear. Nicole remained silent while turning her attention to the stove cooking something in a large graphite colored pot. Suddenly, the woman turned and greeted Nicole with a warm smile. “Morning dear, I was just talking to your mother. You wouldn't mind spending some more time here until she got off work would you?” The woman asked. Nicole smiled and grabbed one the chairs and sat down.

“I had a dream last night...can I tell you about it?” Nicole asked still fixated on the imagery. The woman quickly lowered the heat, as her pot was beginning to boil over. “Sure, dear.” The woman cheerfully replied, starting to stir with a large wooden spoon. What proceeded was an endlessly prolonged gabbing about Nicole's dream, every sentence had to explained with several others explaining how strange it was. Nicole practically couldn't help herself, until she was interrupted with a bowl of food placed in front of her, while both suddenly heard the doorbell ringing...

“I'll be right back dear.” The woman assured handing her some silverware and a glass of fruit juice. Nicole thanked her and started eating the bowl of chicken noodle soup, slurping the warm broth. Surprised when some peculiar device materialized from a ball of light that suddenly appeared from her, she recognized it from her dream. She grabbed it and starting fiddling with the buttons to turn it on. “This was from my dream...it's even the same color...could my dream-be real?”
