My Very Brief Bio

Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

I was asking him about Nationalism, not Patriotism.

Ah. Kay. Carry on. :P
Well do you think yours is better than the others, and are people from your country inherently better?

Ehh. I mean I know in context this means something different, so maybe I'm being too touchy. But Patriotism, doesn't necessarily equal believing you believe your population itself is better. (even if that patriotism is strong, it's still mostly focused on the actual country vs the people.) Maybe their culture and their ideals. But I don't think someone being proud of their country, even has to be happy with certain people in that country...
@Penny We make all food better. Pizza is like an essential food group now, and it's a vegetable and totally healthy. Well except chocolate, we really goddamn suck at that. :D
@Goliah Odd, most twitch streamers tend to have edm, electronica or if anything hard rock/metal. Actually I've been meaning to listen to these guys fully, because the songs I've heard have been good. But their videos are a little weird. The acoustic version of this song has an actual video to it, it's nice too though I prefer the original.

I also understand, falling in love with a band you discover only recently. At least some of 'The Dear Hunter' has literally been playing nonstop since I found them. Haha. As a man who loves concept albums, this endlessly scratches that itch wonderfully.

8.5/10 Well speaking of bands I may have to look at further. That was pretty enjoyable. (The chanting instantly reminded of me of this for some reason.) I was a bit worried at first that the chanting was going to be the only thing it had, but I'm glad I was wrong. (Also listened to Free, not as good but also enjoyable rock.)

@TheMadAsshatter (You Ninja'd me. :P) 7/10 Enjoyable song. Simple good rock. Definitely the vocalist carrying the song.

Now this isn't exactly fantastic, but I do wish the pop charts actually had more stuff like this on it.

@SleepingSilence

I'm going to die miserable and sick it seems :P

According to that last article I treacherously abandoned my own country to selfishly pursue better opportunities elsewhere. I regret nothing!

Aren't we all?

Being amurican, pride is everything. Now eat your triple bacon burger and Denny's Red, White and Blue pancakes! >:I
Also this has turned into a shit show again, three people are attacking each other. (thankfully not at me for once. :D)

So cut the shit out please.
Does patriotism have positive effects that people can think of?

In a report for Psychological Science, Matthew Wright, a political scientist at American University, and Tim Reeskens, a sociologist from Catholic University in Belgium found that more national pride correlated with greater personal wellbeing.

Literally more likely to mean, you're a happier (and likely healthier) person? :/ (Sort of makes sense really...)
