My Very Brief Bio

Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

Does anyone else get really tired of the "Release this OP character, and then nerf the shit out of them, only after everyone buys them day one" shtick, that Nintendo's been doing for Smash? Or what most MOBA's do for their characters, no just me? Ok.

In fairness, I've stopped caring about Smash, forever ago. So let people have their sixteenth sword user, if that'll make'em happy.

So, on a separate note. I played/purchased a random app game forever ago. Called "Rogue Adventure". (It's a Slay The Spire knock off.)

And, for the awfulness of mobile ads and what it is, it's not too bad for a rogue-like cribbing of another superior/bigger budget game's style. Which is something I might've said, if I haven't been doing my damndest to find the slightest bit of enjoyment out of "Slay The Spire". (The original game, that I got on sale at least.)

Or as it should be called, "You lose, because we said so", the game. I mean, my god. Not one rogue-like has made me feel like I've just wasted my time over and over again, more than this one, after completing "a run". Even when I'm permitted to get the cards necessary to win something, I'm only glad it's over in the end.

Because, it doesn't even feel like RNG at all. It feels entirely pre-determined. (And genuinely, the mobile knock-off was better at keeping me engaged and wanting to play it. Since it felt like picking the right cards and items, would actually pay off in the end.) But I've done two of the four characters, and I'm basically continuing because of a sunken cost fallacy. (Like, I might as well finish unlocking this shit that I won't get to use.) Because if the end game is just "Play longer, but less fair somehow."

I'll pass, thanks.
1. Blame the title. (You needing advice on pest control and how to eliminate rats, shouldn't have such a boring & inaccurate title, that doesn't provide any context. Nor does it indicate that you need or want help of any kind. Since the title alone looks like a spam post, that was put in the wrong sub-thread. Which happens all the time. So I can guarantee that nobody read this.)

TLDR: "I need help! I have rats in my home! How do I get rid of them?" Might've been better than "animal control".

2. Blame yourself. (Calling people idiots, when you don't know something, is rule one for lacking self-awareness.) You have access to the internet. It's not hard to search for that on your own. (And it's more than likely what you'd get from your average stranger online, in the first place.)

Have a nice day now. 👍

I've eaten a few strange things in my time. (And I'm going to take advantage of you not specifying if it was alive & assume its dead.) Though I don't know how allergic I am to bees. With the knowledge that my mom is deathly so...I'm gonna have to go with a no for safety sake.

If you could remove or inverse a personality trait of yours, would you and what would it be?
@Crimson Flame Hey. Hope there's no hard feelings. But I'm going to drop this.

Wish you luck in all your other/future RP's.

My old roommate liked making meatloaf. (Usually put some onions and bell peppers in it.) And it was usually pretty tasty. I'd usually help by making some garlic mashed potatoes with it. (The not lazy way.)

Though today I made some beef tacos w. various toppings. (Which was easy, and quite delicious too. :3)

Putting on the to-do list: Use the Magic Bullet that I have, some day. (Any suggestions?)

Does anyone ever bother to go through their game backlog on Steam?

I have been actively attempting this very thing. (To varying degrees of success.) But it has proven that my ability to stick with games I play, is becoming increasingly difficult for me. Though on that note.

Full Mo:Astray Review: Thumbs up from me. 👍

Life is Strange: True Colors is the best Life is Strange game and like 40 percent of the reason why is because the characters are all adults who don't make dumb decisions or speak in 'written by 40 year olds trying to be hip' lingo.

Since my only experience with this game (when I bought the first part, around the time part four was released, I think.) is getting through the first awful cutscene, and then having it hard crash on me each and every time. Becoming one of the very few games I've ever refunded.

You've tempted me to look up a let's play of this.

So, because I fear my PS4 will hard crash on me, and delete many hours of progress. (Like it has with several games I've gotten into. #Don'tBuyOnLaunchDay)

I started playing a bit Dark Souls on PC for the first time. (Despite my complete lack of skill, when it comes to video games. And my reluctance to go back into Bloodborne, despite probably liking its opening/atmosphere more.)

And really, the game hasn't gotten *too* awful yet. Though to spoil how little I've accomplished in my first session, boy I sure do hope those plunging attacks work their magic. <.<'
