"-tt- You idiots can find your own damn Robin"
I still can't decide whether Damian's "Batman in a trench coat." batsuit looks really cool or incredibly stupid. It defies logic. Nothing beats Jason "Bat-Demon" Todd though.
Damian will secretly be INCREDIBLY PLEASED about this sudden killer robot attack interrupting the wedding.
And Jason will just be frantically running around yelling "This is why you have a private ceremony!" and make a bitter "Can I go get my guns now?" once the smoke clears. Heh.
In seriousness though I feel like since THIS Jason didn't start off his relationship with Damian by shooting him and isn't actively enemies at the start they might actually wind up getting along pretty well.
Believe me, one of the biggest things I was looking forward to with Jason was not only how everyone would react to him popping up all "I swear I don't kill anymore." but how his relationship with the younger generation of Robins/Batgirls would develop. Dick's the older brother everyone likes and can talk to. Jason is the brother that gives you a ration of shit but would fight off ten guys if they messed with you.
Or at least recognize that they're both violent Robins that don't fit in and like blades and explosions and struggle with a past full of Talia-manipulations and killing.
Heh, before you know it, Battle for The Cowl will happen and Damian will have to decide between Dick and Jason. "It's him or me! You have to decide! DO IT DAMIAN! DECIDE!" Infer your own Jason Palpatine and Dicki-Wan Kenobi analogues here.
-snip-
Jason Todd in the background "Can I have ONE GODDAMN THING TO MYSELF? Not to mention he got superpowers out of it? I swear the authors just hate me. Always have, always will." "Jason...Jason...stop breaking the fourth wall." "F**K THE FOURTH WALL."
That isn't the case for my concern, unfortunately. There are no new Ironborn characters in Season 5. Most of the new folks are Dornishmen.
The new character I'm most excited about seeing is High Sparrow. I'm interested to see how the Game of Thrones producers portray The Faith of the Seven.
I'm actually really looking forward to the introduction of Dorne as a setting along with the Sand Snakes. I don't keep up with casting and behind the scenes stuff all that much, but the distinct lack of Arianne Martell news has me worried. I swear if they swap out her for the Sand Snakes.
Poor Damian. I guess he doesn't know that death renders you unaffected by Batman rules. That and Jason's ability to never do what he's told. Or maybe it's because I'm adopted. Here's hoping Damian just constantly complains about Jason never having to follow the rules. I imagine Bruce's reaction would be priceless.
We're still missing Sloth/Jason and Corsair/Barbra if they want to get in on things. Oh and Archangel/Gordon for that matter unless Gordon wants to stay in the background.
Corsair and Sloth have yet to post. And according to Archangel89's last post Jim Gordon has yet to arrive at the manor. D'oh! Got ninja'd!
Did somebody say Jason? I figured I should at least try to get something up. It's probably terribly incoherent and messy, but hey.
When was the last time you had a good night's sleep? One where you really felt recharged when you finally crawled out from the paradise of your mattress? Jason Todd couldn't remember the last time he slept at all, let alone slept well. A life involving neon spandex and the possibility of getting frozen in a block of carbonite had a tendency to cause sleepless nights. Not to mention Wayne Manor was just too damn quiet. Bruce did a lot to ensure his privacy. Batman might've forbidden his little bird-lings from patrolling, but he never said anything about sleeping. Sure, Jason would take advantage of the luxuries of running water and a personal bathroom, one couldn't become Robin without almost superhuman management of their internal clockwork, but he was noticeably absent from the wedding reception. Rather, he found himself watching the gathering unfold below him from a small sitting room on the manor's second floor, wearing the exact same set of clothes as the night before and surveying effectively every attendant. Honestly, a public wedding was asking for trouble, and Jason was more concerned about his extreme lack of firearms than how well he looked for Gotham's social event of the century. Damian had given him a particularly venomous look when he was up and getting himself ready, but screw him, Jason was old enough to make his own clothing decisions, or rather, defiant enough to tell Bruce to stick it. Lucius had even stopped by to try and rouse him, but he knew better than to drag it out. In that way, Jason could be just as if not more stubborn than his mentor. Besides, the sleep deprived ex-crime lord didn't have any real reason to be there anyway. Time had passed him by. He could see it just by watching them. The way Stephanie antagonized Damian or let her eyes linger on one Tim Drake. Cassandra did much the same to his immediate replacement. He never had any of that. Dick was too busy in Blüdhaven to give him any bother, Barbara was too busy judging him for not being Dick Grayson. The rest didn't even know him. Four years in the ground and four years away from Gotham. The family had grown, and he was left as an outlier. Before he knew it, one Lucius Fox had apparently summoned the riff-raff inside for the ceremony. Jason figured if he had any obligations, now'd be the time, so he turned around and made his way to the general sound of voices and violins.
I've been busy these past few days. I should be able to write something up this weekend.
"Who are you, again?"
Just a guy who's been around. Mostly visited spam during the early days of NewGuild. I'm a very interesting person. I'm also not sure if I was supposed to answer that or not. I'll go back to my hole now.
I'm sure this will be very insightful.
