A smirk at the crazy remark, as August palmed a rock off the ground.

"What, psychotically analytic extrovert bisexual who can basically siphon emotions off others chasing after ghosts with a bunch of super teens? Perfect picture of sanity right there."

Tip tip tip tiptiptipsploosh

"Of course, that's just me right now...tomorrow I could be someone else. Drove my last girlfriend crazy..."

Why do you keep doing this to me!?

August picked up another rock with her free hand, leaned back, and threw it across the surface of the lake, though this one didn't go nearly as far.

"And the boyfriend before that...you know, I didn't like girls until about...what was it, three months ago? Then I was on a train for an hour...got on, was straight as an arrow."

She made an undulating motion with her hand, one eyebrow raised as she quirked her lips and flushed slightly at the memory.

"My bare shoulder was up against this girl's sweater, and by the end of the trip, I just wanted her to pull me into the bathroom and have me ride her! It was ridiculous...also kind of awesome."

No more rocks. She leaned back, having finally stopped fiddling with the cellphone and managed to relax her muscles. She decided against mentioning what ended up happening at the train station with the girl. Her cheeks flushed a bit again.

"Weirdest part...I didn't actually mind it after the initial panic. My powers I mean, not the liking girls bit. They were cool...it was awesome knowing exactly how to talk to people to make them smile, or leave you alone, or get them flustered. Sometimes I understood them better than they ever would...hard to not like that kind of power."

The redhead folded her legs in a yoga pose, putting up her hands like she was zen and dropping her glasses low on the bridge of her nose as she gave a mock elderly voice.

"Oh, you have come to the great Feels Guru! You want that boy to show you the Mattress Rodeo! You want your parents to stop freaking out about your grades! Yessss! I know everything you waaaaant!"

...and can't give you any of it.

A laugh and August laid back on the grass, staring up through the trees. Her mind raced around, trying to settle on a branch to follow, but wanting to choose all of them. The limits of the human mouth were aggravating, she had all these things she wanted to say all the time, but her tongue was just too slow to explain it all, or people couldn't follow her logic. She opted to halt her tangent there, looking over at Maxwell.

"Telekinesis though. That's gotta be handy. Short of the whole moving cupcakes and what I can only assume is flinging cars across parking lots while screaming MAXWELL SMAASH! Cause that's obviously what you do in your spare time."

Another quirk of the lips.

I just don't care anymore...
*Sits in the corner pouting*

*pat pat* Don't worry, I didn't abandon you.

@Tenish the Mighty

We're kin in a lot of ways it seems. Maybe I'm your alternate account.
*cracks knuckles*

@Raijinslayer
Unemployed, I don't think town prankster could actually be considered a job. Definitely a reputation though. Accepted.

@sheeplon
"As a demon, he offers protection to people who give him offerings and gets a new soul every once and awhile, but he's not too involved in the soul trade anymore."

That part is the only thing that makes me hestitate, as it's a bit vague and the whole "taking of the souls" fits kinda heavily into villainy *what with sending a soul to Hell* I get where you're going with it, but it's still leaning too heavily on that end of the spectrum. I like the Imp part of him causing and eating nightmares, because he could easily argue that it's not actually hurting anyone, and thus isn't evil *just gray enough to cause problems* but the whole taking of the soul I'm gonna have to say no to.
Other than that, I love it.

@Satsuki
The one change we discussed, otherwise accepted.

Out of curiosity, are we allowed to sign up as humans, or will all the humans in the setting be NPCs or something along those lines?

I was pondering this myself for awhile, and I have decided that you can absolutely be a human if you'd like.

@onenote
This is absolutely adorable and accepted.

@Obscene Symphony
Totally accepted and I'm very VERY curious why he was in jail now.

@t2wave
I eagerly await your idea.

You guys did wonderfully, and the changes I've requested have all been minor, I love it. If you guys have questions or thoughts, ask away, I try to answer things as quickly and clearly as possible. Oh, those of you who have been accepted go ahead and post in the Character Tab
The OOC is up!

@Raijinslayer
A) That would be acceptable, but don't expect any combat or anything heavy during this RP. As I said, it's NOT combat oriented, so you may have more fun trying something else.

B) No wishes. Being able to turn into a human is perfectly fine though. But she doesn't need to disguise herself, the whole point is that the mythical beings are coexisting with humanity.

C) I'm just gonna go ahead and say no to this one, your other two are much more viable.

I'm looking forward to making a cs. I also think it'd be interesting if a few of our charters were roommates in an apartment or something (so we'd have that level of interaction to)

I realized I never responded to this, by all means you are welcome to do so.
Diehlstadt has always claimed a close connection to other worlds. Haunted houses, gnarled woods, and deep ocean crevasses and grottoes. Strange tales of mysterious figures at night, unexplained sightings, and stories so old they aren't even written down. When the idea came up to make a town where humans and mythological beings would coexist for the first time ever, Diehlstadt was the clear candidate.

It wasn't long before they began to show up. First it was a trickle. Centaurs, red onis, dullahans. Then more and more showed up, eager to experience the new and unknown. Restless ghosts, harpies, mermaids, even fey. Then the more reclusive ones moved in. Vampires, eager to prove they weren't like the old stories. Demons, Angels, and more. All living in one town. Diehlstadt grew, becoming a tourist attraction for all races. There was tension, to be sure. Old stereotypes and misgivings had to be broken down. But soon, it almost became normal, all these creatures from other worlds in one place.

In this small mythical town of ours.

Within this world, you will be playing as an inhabitant of the modern town of Diehlstadt, where humans and mythical beings have begun to live together for the first time. This RP focuses on character relationships and dynamics *I always encourage romances!* instead of combat or the sort. This means a few things to keep in mind!

Since the focus would be on character relationships, you are expected to set goals for your character, be it find true love, overcome their past, become the best *insert job here* or whatever. Obviously, whenever you choose to remove an over arcing plot for such a free roam idea, the pace will be set by the players. So this will be a more laid back, slower paced RP that focuses on character interaction. That means:

- No heavy combat *I won't say no fighting, because who knows, some of us may get into brawls from heated arguments or rivalries, but the focus of the RP would not be combat based* However, I encourage conflict, and will probably throw conflict at you in the form of Minor Characters and the like. That said, don't bother emphasizing regeneration, immunity to wounds, etc etc. This isn't that kind of RP.
- No evil, insane, or sadistic characters. You can be dark, gruff, maybe even mean spirited, but you aren't a villain.
- The players will be setting their own goals. Meaning your character should have a drive, passion, or reason for being there. Not having a focus or direction generally means your character will be exceedingly hard to write for or that you'll have no reason to get involved.

There will be town events, things that occur from time to time that your characters may wish to participate in *or potentially be forced to participate in, depending on the event* to help give impetus.

I would like a somewhat larger group, mostly because I know a lot of people tend to drop out due to life and responsibility, but also because this particular type of RP works well with more people, mostly due to giving you so many different wonderful personalities to interact with. And to help with your own story, you are free to make any minor characters you deem is necessary for your story, provided they don't break any of the above rules as well!

Try to avoid thinking of this as High Fantasy, and more Slice of Mythological Life. Again, this is a lighthearted, laid back RP. The goal is to have fun, and get some fun interactions going.

I'm gonna try leaving the sign ups open through out the RP, as this particular scenario works well with large groups of people. Your character will be considered a new tenant who is moving into the town at the time your sheet is accepted, don't post till I accept your character though.

If things get too chaotic, I'll close sign ups then, but for now, let's see what happens.

Here's the character sheet (please don't put your characters in the character tab until I accept them)

@Bunnita

Pssst. Pssst. Victor's Dagula, not Lezzad.
Interested, but a question. Is there a character limit, and if so, how many? I'm planning on having around, lets say, 3-4. with them being a Reaper-in-training, a wish-granting dragon, and a Powerful Demon whose found himself bound and sealed to the earth, as well as now having to take care of a child.

One character, I may allow multiples later if I feel it necessary, but for now only 1, and I'm sorry to shoot down all your ideas, but here we go:

A) I already mentioned that a Grim Reaper character is off the table, as specific beings will not be allowed. You do not kill, you do the menial labor for the agents of Death, because having a killer in the town voids the whole laid back, more upbeat RP experience *though you still may be thought of as a killer by humans*. Example, Valkyries deliver spirits to Valhalla, but since it's set in modern times, and warriors are lacking, they're now more escorts for those who die to help bring them to the Afterlife. A Banshee may do something similar, but since everyone believes the wail of a banshee brings death, she has to struggle with the fear such a stereotype brings.
B) A wish granting dragon has the potential power to do anything, hence the wish, which was also off the table. A normal dragon who does not have magical powers, would be perfectly acceptable, though I would recommend avoiding such large scale beings mostly out of convenience. However, if you take that as a challenge to overcome via RP, go right ahead.
C) Bound Demon falls into both evil and extremely powerful, unless he was bound for some other reason and he is not evil nor particularly powerful in comparison to other demons.

Don't think of this as High Fantasy. Think of it as Slice of Mythological Life. OOC will be up soon.
I've been avoiding posting mostly so it wasn't just me and Constantine posting rapid fire over you guys. Then it looked like it died for a moment.

Sedate RPs through me for loops sometimes.
I just noticed it's been pairing of male/female for everyone except the pair Victor just pounced on...
Now I'm getting a monster musume vibe here XD

I deny knowing anything about a monster girl harem manga with a totally awesome centaur girl who NEEDS TO BE CHOSEN OVER MIA GODDAMMIT

*ahem* No clue what you're talking about.

EDIT: Okay, fine, YES I enjoy monster people type stories and yes I know of Monster Musume.
