Current To have actual creativity, motivation, and inspiration back feels like welcoming home an old familiar friend. Comfortable. It's nice.

Finally recovered from postpartum depression and ready to get back to being creative! My apologies to anyone I ghosted in my time of trial. I didn't understand what I was doing.

Bio

Well, you seem to have stumbled across my user profile. I'm assuming you're here for a reason? Perhaps looking for details on this user StarfrostedFox? ... You can just call me Autumn! Or Josie! C:

I have been role-playing off and on for the last 20 or so years, which is surprising to realize, and I find it a relaxing and enjoyable hobby. After an accident that left me blind a little over 17 years ago, I couldn't role-play for quite some time, which was rather devastating. About the time that Apple invented Siri, I was able to get enough money to be able to purchase my very first iPhone. And BAM! The world of role-playing was once again open to me. It has been a long process getting used to dictating stories and I inevitably don't always catch every single mistake, But I have learned a great deal of patience and realize the value of taking things slow and working through my text when something doesn't sound completely right. It was only a couple of years ago that I came across this website and the stories I have had here have taught me a lot about myself. I love to create. Role-playing is one of the only outlets I have for the images in my head. So though I may have a tendency to go through cycles of depression and being antisocial, I always seem to come back in the end.

I love stories involving fantasy, supernatural, adventure, mystery, even romance. There probably isn't a genre out there that I wouldn't give a try before I will say that I don't like it.

My favorite style of role-playing is, hands down, one on one. It helps me feel more involved in the story, gives me a chance to be able to talk with the other person involved in a much more casual way, And more often than not results in a long lasting friend and some of my favorite adventures.

I have a tendency to write on a casual to low Advanced level throughout my stories, the minimum coming out to an average of a couple of paragraphs. I just have so much in my head that I want to get out, I have a hard time writing anything less. Another consequence however is that I can't seem to find a lot of patients with story partners that give me a really short and undetailed response every time. It's discouraging to take the time to write out several detailed paragraphs only to get a sentence in reply. If you're here thinking of asking me to do a story, please keep that in mind.

I do not tolerate swearing, extreme Gore, or sexual content in my stories. Period. Nor do I role-play same gender romantic relationships. That is just not going to happen.

If you made it to the end of this and I haven't scared you off, I think you deserve some virtual cookies. Heck, go get yourself some real cookies. Or donuts. Or pie if that is your preference. It was just me rambling away about myself after all. If you aren't scared off and you were indeed here looking to get a story started, feel free to shoot me a private message. I'm always looking to make new friends and have new adventures.

Maybe just a little. Ha ha! But it doesn't bother me. It shows me that you're excited about it too! And it helps me work out a slightly longer post to fit in some of the details I don't want to leave out. I had been planning on having Cinead catch the scent of the boar and start stripping down in front of Anna. Ha ha! That's OK though. ;)
@ThatWeirdChick

Well... It wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't one of my better posts. I can live with it. :)
Her distraction only really bothered him in the slightest amount, something that Cinead was easily able to brush off and instead focus on moving with Anna to the music, on the zing of nervous excitement that actually having his hands in contact with her sent through his veins. The experience had him baring his teeth in a momentary fierce grin. "Yes. I do." He responded simply, but enthusiastically.

That simple phrase had given him energy to keep on dancing with Anna for what felt like hours to Cinead, his heart pounding and his emotions high. They had called a few breaks in between songs, mostly so that Cin could get pressed into trying even more of the snacks and even a few of the drinks. He had quickly put his foot down about soda however after his initial taste of the bubbly stuff had sent an uncomfortable tickling through his nose that left him spluttering and provoked a huge sneeze. He had stuck to water after that.

Finally, after the current song came to a close and the shifter let his body come to a stop, Cinead was more than ready for that break he and Anna had talked about. Breathing a little heavier than normal, he tilted his head down so that he was closer to the shorter woman's ear and managed to get out, "Are you ready for that walk then? I could really use some quieter atmosphere." He admitted.

Ha ha! That sounds good to me! I will do that. :D
@ThatWeirdChick

Thanks for understanding. And thank you for the welcome back! It is nice being back. I've missed you. :)

And yes, I love our story, I really do. I went back and I read over everything. I'm pretty sure I'm all caught up. We are on the brink of Anna and Cin going off together at one point and getting attacked. That will be entertaining. I basically have that entire scene written out in my head. I have since we decided on the big reveal. ;)

Well, prepare yourself for some rustiness! I'm working on my post now. It will be interesting to try and get back into Cinead's head.

Aw. I am glad to hear that you are still interested. I am very sorry I just up and vanished on you. Life just up and crashed on me in several ways I won't go into detail about here... but it ended up taking away my inspiration and motivation. I was planning on only being away for a little while, but that little while turned into months... I have a really bad habit of withdrawing when I'm feeling down and stressed and then continuously staying away because I feel guilty about being away. It's a harsh cycle. But yes, I'll try to pick back up on our story if you are still interested in it. I haven't written in months, I've been plagued with severe writers block, so I'll definitely be rusty. But I'll try. I promise. I hope you can forgive me. And overlook my inevitable rustiness
I know how that goes. It happens. No worries. :)
Aww, No worries. We all have our different challenges in life. I'm glad that you handle yourself well. I've enjoyed getting to know you better.

Thanks. It's been getting rather annoying. Hopefully they come out and fix it soon. I am glad that I'm not the only one with Internet problems though. Although, I still don't like it. Sorry you're experiencing similar difficulties.

I'm just fine with Sunspot and Sandpelt as mentors! That's rather exciting actually. :3 And figuring that out helped me with the bit of inspiration I needed to be able to finish my post. Yay~ XD
Whiskers twitching as the soft sound of a meow floated to him from the depths of the warrior's den, Sandpelt swiveled his head in the direction of the voice, ears perked forward. He wasn't altogether surprised to see the owner, Swiftbrook stood out in the clan. It was hard to find another cat that had more energy than she did, despite the seasons that she had seen. Sandpelt offered A touch of his nose to the she cat in greeting, A brief purr rumbling in his throat.

"good morning to you as well Swiftbrook." He meowed politely in return before respectfully touching the tip of his tail against her shoulder. "i'll gladly welcome your company for the dawn patrol. And it's probably a good idea to take along Cricketpaw and Turtlepaw. They could use the training." He added thoughtfully before sweeping his tail behind him. "you're welcome to wait with Ashstar and Eagleleap. They'll be accompanying us today. And if we are bringing along both apprentices, I'll need to go and ask Sunspot along..." Waving his tail in farewell, Sandpelt trotted away in the direction of the nursery, hoping that the long furred she cat hadn't gone far after taking Poppykit back.

"But I wanna go on an adventure and catch all the mice!"

Sunspot sighed patiently as the little orange and white kit mewed unhappily from a position she had taken up between the warrior's front paws as soon as the she cat had placed the little one onto the floor of the nursery cave. She blinked her orange eyes down at the pouting face looking back up at her imploringly, ears turning back with a surge of embarrassment. She didn't know how to handle herself around kits, not having the opportunity to raise her own litter yet. Apprentices, other warriors, even the elders were all things that she could deal with, But she wasn't quite sure exactly how to respond to the innocence and positively cute faces of kits.

"that's great that you have such enthusiasm Poppykit, It really is. But... Well..." Sunspot meowed slowly, struggling for the right words.

"you'll need to wait here in the nursery until you're a bit bigger and you're made an apprentice by Ashstar." Tansy, One of the Queens Who took care of the nursery, chimed in, The cream and white tabby she cat giving Sunspot a sympathetic glance. "Until your six moons old, I'll need you here to help me protect the nursery."

Poppykit shot forward at once, stubby tail wriggling excitedly as she bounded over to her caretaker. "don't worry Tansy! I'll protect you!" She squeaked excitedly, fluffing up her fur and unsheathing her claws. "i'm the best fighter you know." To prove a point, she attempted to balance on her back paws, swiping her claws at an invisible foe, Only to end up losing her balance and toppling head over tail as she accidentally stumbled into the edge of one of the nests and vanished from site with a short yowl of surprise.

Tansy purred with amusement and affection as she watched the antics of the little she cat, stepping carefully into the nest after Poppykit and laying down, collecting the kit in her jaws and placing her between her front paws. "I feel safer already. Now let's make sure you look your best for taking care of the entire nursery." She said, giving one last glance towards Sunspot with a grateful, "Thank you for returning her to the nursery.", before beginning to lap her tongue over Poppykit.

"no problem." Sunspot responded cheerfully, grateful that a more experienced cat had taken over dealing with the kit. Kits were adorable, but she much rather preferred playing with them then reasoning. Swiping her chest with a few quick embarrassed licks, the ashy tan warrior made to back out of the den when her ears pricked at the sound of approaching pawsteps behind her.

"Sunspot! I'm glad that you didn't go far." Sandpelt meowed as he came into view of the nursery, stopping a few tail lengths away. "i'd like you to come with Cricketpaw on the dawn patrol."

A momentary twinge of disappointment that she wasn't going to catch a last little bit of sleep before the morning really started passed through Sunspot before she quickly shook the feeling off, brightening at the idea of serving her clan. "sure! I'll go wake him up now." She responded, starting off at a trot towards the apprentice's den.

"good. Could you wake up Turtlepaw while you're at it? She's coming too." Sandpelt called after her.

Sunspot waved her bushy tail in acknowledgment as she passed by the elder's den, turning one of her ears as one of the older cats snored loudly, but resisted the temp Tatian to visit her father as she trotted into the next cave. Orange eyes flickering over the nests, she quickly spotted the cats she was searching for and carefully maneuvered her way over to a black and white bundle of fur in one of them. Reaching out with a forepaw, Sunspot gently nudged her apprentice, meowing Saufley. "Cricketpaw. It's time to wake up. We are going on patrol."

Heat ruffled through Dapplefern's pelt as she realized first that she had woken her mentor and secondly when he chided her gently. She sat back on her haunches, curling her tail around her paws as she tilted her ears back with embarrassment. "I know..." She sighed, whiskers drooping a little. "A sharp mind and quick paws are good qualities to have as a medicine cat. Sleep is important for both." She shuffled her front paws. "i'm sorry... I just couldn't sleep. I... I had another nightmare."

Memories of her dream flickered through her mind, snatches of images. A dark shadowy figure, Icerain yowling, The smell of blood in the air... Blinking away the images, Dapplefern tried to ignore the cold trickle that shivered down her spine like ice melt. It had just been a dream after all.

Before The memory of the dream took over once again, the White and gray she cat quickly moved onto the next subject, tilting her ears towards the clearing outside. "Sandpelt is still organizing the dawn patrol. I was wondering if it would be all right if I tagged along. We're running low on coltsfoot and comfrey. I wanted to collect some to replenish our supply before leaf fall." She explained, the end of her tail tapping rhythmically with the cadence of her voice.
... It's official. Your laptop hates you. >_< I'm so sorry the Internet browser crashed on you! That is awful! It drives me crazy when things like that happen to me. Gah. Maybe try writing out your posts in a word program or something like that and then just copy and paste it into the browser. That might save you a few headaches. :)

And your post was not horrible! I really enjoyed it! It may be a little shorter than you were hoping for, but the quality is still good. I've been trying to work on my response, but our Internet has been out quite frequently the last couple of days. We've had someone out to look at it and apparently it's the main line that is having problems and that would require someone from the main company to come out and have a look at it. -sigh- And of course, I dictate all of my writing and Siri uses the Internet to be able to decipher what I say. So it hasn't been working. x_x It's been stable today, so I've been working on it often on when inspirations strikes. I should be getting it to you soon.

I did have a question though. Would you like to assign a mentor to Cricketpaw and Turtlepaw?
