2. OK, thanks for elaborating. Though I'm wondering if physical objects are 'sort of' present in other layers? Correct me if I'm getting this totally wrong, but isn't 'physicality' one way Outer Essent presents itself? I can imagine that heading towards one of the other three realms, physical objects become less physical, and beyond a certain 'distance', become 'pass-through-able', though may 'slow' or 'impede' movement through it. Obviously, if one is entirely in the Inner Realm, physicality loses all meanings and only 'abstract concepts' remain. Again, please correct me if I'm not interpreting the realms correctly.

"Thanks," Maya replied. "I apologize for not having had the time to get to know either of you yet. You might think that as your commanding officer, I'm being too friendly, but there are a couple of reasons for this. The first is, well, I just happen to be a friendly person and do actually want to know the people I work with. The second reason is that there's a very strong, personal aspect to being a cog pilot, and by extension a member of a team of cog pilots. The researchers believe that letting the pilots behave according to their own personalities is the best way to release the cog's full potential. He would have found it creepy before, but since Mike had warned him before hand, and Israfil trusted that Mike wasn't going to hurt him with his powers, Israfil wasn't that afraid of it anymore. She tends to play with the ends of her hair with her hands when she's nervous or absent-minded which looks an awful lot like fidgeting. Her skin is porcelain pale.
Appearance/Attire: Shelley prefers comfort and modesty, so wears loose-fitting or baggy clothes with dark, dull or subdued colors, which can make her look a bit trashy. She's been pressured into wearing contact lenses in public even though she doesn't like putting things in her eyes, so when she is at home, she prefers her big, round, thick glasses that make her look the part of her inner personality, that of a soft-core nerd. Suddenly another voice sounded over the comm-link, "Mind if I join you ladies?" It was Maya. Due to Solomon's transgression on the shuttle, and now his loss of control of his cog, Maya had been running back and forth between emergency meetings, and had barely any time to get to know the new pilots, and interacting with the pilots, she felt was something of top priority in this particular project. She had just come back from her meeting and saw that several of the cogs were occupied and decided to join them.

Eponine followed Violetta out into the trees, and once again, went from branch to branch very slowly due to her difficulty with acrobatics. Tera was a bit envious of Claire, since Mayura did have a bayonet. "I wonder where we're headed?" Tera mused. She could remember off the top of her head several high conflict regions, in particular a system ruled by a strange cult of Quantums, and another system that was struggling for independence that many suspected FAS of secretly supporting despite treaties.
