I think I'll make a miner:

I used the following site
With its arm repaired, Legion immediately began to sear the forces coming from the left, being more efficient about it this time.

"Good job, Asteria, Nyx," Maya said, thanking Claire for healing Legion, and Blythe for managing to hold her own in such a tense situation. Realizing that Nyx was possibly as resistant to damage as Obsidian, Maya adopted a more offensive stance, making Obsidian pull out its hammer, and swung it around, helping Nyx clear out the accumulated enemy forces on her side and the front. "Asteria, my cog has sustained some minor damage, and I'm sure Nyx probably has some minor damage too. We could probably use some minor repairs, but keeping Legion healthy is your top priority, so only repair us if he's doing fine. Fury, if Mayura still hasn't detected any jamming signals, then I think it's safe to say the enemy isn't capable of it. So come give us some air support."

"Roger," came Sion's voice over the comm. Fury screamed by overhead, splitting into three separate strike craft and began gunning down enemies, relieving some of the pressure.

The team continued to advance, the enemy's main base was in sight.
I'd be interested in this.

Edit: Wouldn't mind co-GMing this, maybe help handle resource management such as farming, mining, fishing, etc.

Also, could you post a link to the character creator?
Oops, sorry, I've had the wrong impression of Nyx this whole time for some reason. I forgot it specialized in stronger armor. That being the case, you don't need to have Nyx take much damage at all.
I'm thinking, plot-wise, if Nyx might incur some damage for two reasons. 1. I want Asteria to heal Nyx which may build towards their eventual fusion, and 2. originally, Nyx was supposed to be the 'runt of the litter' among the cogs: considered unwanted and weak, so a low performance would push that particular point of drama. Of course, do let me know if you don't want Blythe to be as much of a punching bag.
Solomon held his tongue since he didn't want to anger Maya. He was disappointed to realize that although Claire had accepted his apology, she wasn't dumb enough to be manipulated as easily as he thought. Legion simply hid behind Obsidian while Asteria healed his arm.

Enemy forces continued to pile in; they knew that failure to defend this base would mean the end of their organization, so they were desperate to repel the Planetary Defense Force. The ones coming from the left and front were starting to overwhelm Nyx.
Shelley woke up at 11AM. Her mother didn't like her sleeping in this late, but she usually didn't say anything about, thinking Shelley was old enough to manage her own sleep schedule. At any rate, it was a weekend, and Shelley didn't have anything she needed to do. Shelley groaned to herself. She had stayed up pretty late playing games, even though she kept telling herself she would finish her homework early so she wouldn't have to worry about it over the weekend.

She washed up, brushed her teeth, and headed downstairs where her mother was preparing lunch. Shelley usually skipped breakfast if she woke up this late.

"Good morning, Shi Ling," her grandmother said, "I used to wake up late when I was your age."

Shelley nodded, unable to count how many times her grandmother had said this in the past. "Hey mom, I'll be going out later today," Shelley said.

"Oh? What for?" her mother asked.

"Oh, umm...well, you know..." Shelley didn't have a good excuse, it wasn't like she had any friends that she was close enough with t ohang out with over the weekends. "There's this...game coming out..."

"Shelley, I swear, you spend too much time and money on those. I've a mind to forbid you from playing games until your grades improve," Shelley's mother complained.

Shelley bit her lip. She had slowly stopped buying at game stores, and started making more and more purchases online so her mother wouldn't nag her about it as much. "I...I know mom...but I really want this game...I'll work harder at school, so will you please let me...?"

Shelley's mom didn't say anything for a bit, but because she had argued with grandmother yesterday, and they had sort of reconciled, she felt that maybe today she should be nicer to Shelley, if only to make grandmother feel happy. "Fine."

"Th-Thanks...Mom..." Shelley said, wishing that she was actually going to buy a game because it wasn't normally this easy to get her permission.

After finishing lunch Shelley headed out. It was 12PM, and she had two hours to figure out how to get to school. She normally took the bus, but it wasn't running on a Saturday as expected. She also hardly ever went out without her mother who drove everywhere, and school was too far to walk to. Shelley wandered around, until she found a bus stop for non-school-buses. She had a hard time reading the bus lines map and determining which bus she should get on, and by the time she had figured it out, realized that several of the buses she could have gotten on to go to her destination had already come and gone. When the next one finally arrived, she got on, and then had a hard time paying the bus driver, fiddling nervously through her wallet.

The rest of the ride she sat through nervously, desperately afraid she'd miss her stop, and causing her to hit to 'next stop' button twice, coaxing some condescending giggles from the two younger boys sitting in the seats behind her.

She got off, seeing recognizable scenery of the area near the school. It was only 1PM. She had made good time considering she didn't get on the bus until 12:30PM, but now she was an hour early and had no idea what to do in the mean time. Well, almost no idea. She pulled out a handheld gaming console, found a place to sit and whiled away the hour playing, not even considering the possibility that the school gate might be locked for the weekend.
I can't say that I'm an expert on economics, I can only say that it has become a big enough problem that it managed to come to my attention. it also helped to explain my own confusion with the system.

People in America are aware that a problem exists, but the public is either distracted by artificial problems or they are hit with a sense of powerlessness and a sense that they are unable to change the system, and the few politicians who are against the problem lose the backing of their parties and funders and slip into obscurity. The American people need to mobilize, and learn to once again flex its democratic muscle. I don't think its hopeless, but there might be some growing pains. And even though things seem to be getting worse, they ultimately aren't that bad yet, but something needs to be done before things get really, really bad.

As for your situation, I would never condone abandoning your education. Derive what benefit you can, even from a broken system, make do with what you have. The benefits of education continue to exist, it is that attaining those benefits has becoming increasingly harder that I object to.

As for the give and take, it is s serious problem in America especially with unnecessary military funding. I don't remember the numbers, but the percentage spent on the military, and on prisons, and on banks is exorbitantly more than the funding spent on education, social projects, etc. We don't need to be engaging in these expensive wars that destabilize the world to distract ourselves from our own real problems.

Unfortunately, too many people think Nationalism is a sufficient substitute to morality. Identity and exclusivity become more important than universal values, more important than compassion. Why ask hard questions when the government can spoon feed you what you're supposed to think and believe? Nationalism has destroyed this world. It is an artificially constructed sense of belonging and demands unquestioning loyalty giving in return a sense of superiority and entitlement and hypocritical values. Americans say we stand for "Truth, Justice, Liberty", and simply saying it means that it is true and we are suddenly and magically above criticism.

Anyways, we can stop talking about this whenever you get tired of political stuff.

Also, I wanted to apologize for the late post, I don't actually have an excuse other than I failed to notice that you had posted already.
Having cleared out this wave of enemies, the team continued to advance, and were occasionally harassed by tanks, jeeps, attack helicopters, and squads of soldiers. Obsidian plowed forward, punching and kicking anything that stood in their direct path, letting Nyx and Legion take care of whatever came from the sides. In his recklessness, Solomon let his Legion take a little too much damage, such that one well placed cannon shot took the Legion's right arm clean off.

"SHIT!" Solomon yelled in rage, "Rivers! Patch me up!" he ordered.

"Lear! Keep that tone in check!" Maya said, sounding angrier than the twins have ever heard her, "That is not how you speak to a medic on the field!"

Sensing an opportunity, the enemy forces started focusing fire on Legion. Obsidian dashed in front of Legion to absorb the damage with its superior armor, and giving Asteria time to heal Legion; but this left Nyx alone to defend both the left and the front, where enemies continued to stream in.
I added another paragraph to my post describing the office area.
