Here's the link, it's still a work in progress right now, but basically, you can start creating characters. We need to fill in most of the job roles, and it's fine to have one character do multiple jobs, especially if those jobs correlate, like Farmer/Rancher in one for example. Let me know how many characters you want to do, and I'll fill in the rest. Of course, not all characters have to have jobs, especially the children, but people do need to make themselves useful, and if you think up other jobs crucial to a surviving village, please let me know.

The Village of Soren (a 1x1 Harvest Moon/Rune Factory-inspired Village RP for FaithfulMuse and Stern Algorithm)

Brief History of Soren:
The great empires of the world fought for many things: territory, resources, ideologies, race, trade, dominance, and anything you can think of. The world was never truly at peace, it was either open war, or the political games that would eventually lead to open war. Many lives were lost, many lands were devastated, and people got swept up in the hatred which only fueled the war further. The village of Soren is the last hope for a handful of families. Malkas the Dark Elf, Harin the Dwarf and Grom the Orc took their families to this out-of-the-way valley on the outskirts of the nearest empire to found the village of Soren in order to escape the horrors of war and to create a community that would abolish racial, nationalistic and ideological hatred. Soren would open its arms to anyone who was willing to share this sense of community and contribute in their own way, for it would surely be difficult without the support of the imperial infrastructure; it was necessary for Soren to be able to stand on its own legs.

Notes about Elves: Elves live long lives but are not immortal, and mature at different rates that the other races. Elves age at the same rate as humans up to the age of twenty, after which their rate of aging slows to four times that of humans. So an elf that is 16 years old will appear 16 years old, but an elf that is 60 years elf will only appear 30. The equation is: (Years-20)/4 + 20 = Appearance.

Notes about Dwarves: Dwarves have a disproportionate male/female ratio. The reason is that male dwarf embryos tend to split into twins, triplets, or more. Because dwarvish society maintains monogamy, this means that many dwarf males end up not finding mates. They are surprisingly okay with this, some say it is because they are content if their twin brother has offspring. However this also means that many dwarf males find something to devote their lives to, usually a craft of some sort, which may explain why dwarven craftsmanship is considered the finest. Other races often joke that dwarven women simply do not exist, but due to their low numbers, they are often kept away from view and protected.

Notes about Orcs: Orc teeth continue to grow without stopping, much like rodents. This has led many orc tribes to adopt selective filing, that is to file down some teeth while allowing others to grow into fangs, giving orcs their typical, monstrous appearance. The orcs of Soren have discontinued this practice, deeming it a part of war-like behavior as well as due to its being generally harmful to dental hygeine. The orcs of Soren usually carry a sack of acorns or bones to gnaw on to keep their teeth from growing too long.

Israfil was glad Mike was willing to share information about himself and proceeded to ask more, "Where are you from? The Ascendancy core systems, or the border? I've always lived in the core systems myself."

Tera was surprised to hear Blythe's response. "A headache? I've felt a slight...loss of coordination today. I wonder if piloting cogs is safe? I mean, Lear seems to be fine now, and both the Lieutenants have piloted for a while..."

Maya walked to the cafeteria with Claire and got a coffee. They sat down at a table and Maya began, "I wanted to apologize to you. I realize that I've probably come off as an incompetent commanding officer. I'm not trying to make any excuses for myself, but I'm used to leading trained soldiers. What makes the cog program so difficult, is the supposed correlation between the strength of the pilot's personality and the strength of the cog. What this means is that our team has people that are not easy to get along with, yet we are in a sense, reliant on those exact people to give our team strength. Do I force everyone to get along, or would that hurt their performance as pilots? How do I make things go as smoothly as possible? In my haste, I took RHS's suggestion and placed you in charge. I apologize, for myself, and for Lieutenant RHS. I've discussed with him and we decided that in the next mission, if we need to split up again, he will take charge. I hope you can forgive him and support him as your leader wholeheartedly."

While Shizuka enjoyed looking at cute puppies and kittens, the experience was always a little melancholy; she had no intention of buying a pet and even if she did, she doubted that they would allow pets in the dorm. And if she thought too hard about what happened to them if they outgrew their 'cute' stage, would they be sent to a shelter or euthanized? Although it was better not to think about it, it was a reality she would have to face if she intended to become a veterinarian. She eventually made her way to Shiny Park to enjoy the weather and take her mind off depressing topics. Shizuka happened to see a man sitting on the grass, smoking and drinking. Something about the placement, how it was a little bit away from where people normally sat for picnics, and the man's familiarity with the spot indicated to Shizuka that the man may be homeless. She thought it was a pity that as nice as the day was, there were people whose circumstances probably stopped them from appreciating it. Although she couldn't do anything to help the pets she saw earlier, she resolved to at least help this man today. She walked over to Jake timidly and pulled out a $20 bill; it wasn't much, but she hoped it would lift the man's spirits.

"E-excuse me sir..." Shizuka began quietly, "H-here...I know it's not much, but I want you to have this."

At first Israfil was afraid it would be rude to look, but since Mike was showing him, he took a look. "I-I'm sorry..." Israfil said, feeling a little overwhelmed. He didn't know why Mike would trust him with something so personal. Israfil realized that he was becoming increasingly curious about Mike; though they were the same age, Mike gave off this feeling that he had experienced much more to life, and it drew Israfil in. Mike seemed so confident, so strong despite having been hurt so bad. "T-thank you...for sharing...I don't know that I'm worthy this information. I...I sort of...look up to you. I know we haven't known each other for a long time, but you've helped me, since me met at the space elevator. But I know so little about you." Israfil didn't know where he was going, yet he sort of just kept talking.

Tera felt prying any further would be rude and, considering what she had just done, highly inappropriate. "I-I see." Tera climbed into her bed and sat there, flipping through her drive, going through her personal electronic communication accounts, trying to just relax. "H-have you experienced anything...weird? From piloting, I mean. Vertigo, lack of coordination, migraines...?"

Welcome To Shine City (Season 1)

The small bell attached to the door jingled as a new customer came in.

"Welcome to The Shining Kettle," Shizuka greeted in her light, airy voice. She gave a slight, gentle, natural smile that did not come off as forced or overly cheery. Dressed in her waitress uniform and holding a tray close to her body, she directed the customer to a seat and took his order. Giving the order to the barista, Shizuka looked around the cafe, seeing that business was fairly slow today, with most of the tables being empty. She was fine with this pace as it let her give more personal attention to each customer. Taking a look at the clock, Shizuka noticed that it was already 3:50, her shift would be ending in ten minutes. After cleaning up the tables of the last customers she would be serving that day, Shizuka went to the back and changed back into her normal clothes, saying goodbye to the barista and other waiters and waitresses.

Seeing that it was such a beautiful day, Shizuka strolled down Shine Junction. She had enough groceries stocked up so she wasn't in any need to buy anything. She spent some time just window shopping, looking at trinkets and clothes, and stopped unusually long looking at some pets in a pet store.

@Stern Algorithm Shizuka sounds like a lovely teacher's assistant! Well, if she'd be willing to give up her time off to spend in a classroom, though not so much lecture hall I presume, Shou would be happy to have her.

When I went to grad school, it was part of our academic requirements for students to TA classes, so I'm just going off of personal experience. And since I made Shizuka a relatively non-social person, I need to give her more exposure opportunities, meet new people, etc.

@Stern Algorithm I think it'd make sense that they are classmates or TA/student, but I'm not sure on dorm mates. IDK how that'd play out.

Since Amaya's majoring in Bio, and minoring in psychology, I'm guessing she's an undergraduate, since people generally don't 'minor' in graduate school. That being the case, Shizuka probably wouldn't be dormmates with Amaya and is Amaya's TA in Matsuoka-sensei's undergraduate Biology class. That means I get to grade your tests

@Stern Algorithm I don't actually know how Otonashi and Nori would get along. They seem like complete opposites.

That's fine, not everybody has to know everybody else at the get go. Although if they do meet, they might become foils for each other, being very different personalities. Since they both work part time on Shine Junction, they'll probably have a chance to bump into each other.

@Stern Algorithm maybe we could be classmates, or maybe i know you from the cafe?

Depending on Kameyo's major, they may or may not have overlapping classes, if so then let's definitely be classmates. If not, Shizuka's chances of meeting new people pretty much depends on her job at the cafe.

I think I want Shizuka to be classmates and/or dorm mates with Amaya. Veterinary Science will have some overlapping courses with Biology, maybe they can both take Matsuoka-sensei's class. Unless Amaya is an undergraduate, in which case, maybe Shizuka can be her TA?
