I'll be going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow and don't know how often I'll have Internet access. Thank you for your patience. I'll try to be more regular when I get back.

"We're not repeating their mistakes," Solomon retorted, "we let them live their lives properly, but they need to know their place. Unfortunately in the Ascendancy, they outnumber us right now; what do you think would happen if we let them get away with whatever they please? They'll turn on us if we give them the chance."

"But Solomon,"Israfil said suddenly, "I'm not your enemy. I thought we were...friends..." Israfil remembered how scared he was of Solomon back on the shuttle, and how after he had apologized to Blythe, he had become rather friendly. Israfil had started to trust that Solomon was turning a new leaf.
"We've all lost something," Bormash joined the conversation with empathy in his voice, "We can't get back what we've lost, but Soren is for new beginnings and sticking together." By this time, all the merchandise had either been loaded or unloaded, depending on their destination.

"Thanks for the help," Emtardas said. Despite looking to be in the prime of his life, Emtardas behaved somewhat like an old man, or maybe he was just lazy. "Well, you can return to the inn if you'd like," Emtardas said turning to Ryul.

"Or I can take you on a tour of the town," Gil offered. Kalram seemed excited to accompany them.

"is there someone in town you secretly admire?" Reas asked, pushing the topic.
Alright, I'm back, sorry for the long wait.
"I think that as a superior being, it is well within my rights to wield my superiority against an inferior. Besides, they would do the same, and probably worse, to us if the situation was reversed. They already did so in the past," Solomon said, referring to the oppression Ascendeds faced before the Race Wars.
"Not at all," Felix replied to Gideon's statement about the clutter, "If your workshop was pristine, I would wonder if you did any work at all." Felix's attention was drawn to the bust that Gideon covered, though he didn't catch what it was and decided not to ask. Felix sat and undressed as ordered. "The company has been doing decently well, though with the size of the company, we worry more about overhead costs now than actual manufacturing. Father says our engineers are running out of ideas; while standard, mass-produced parts are fine for the masses, it's art that appeals to the ones father really wants to do business with. In many ways, I think father is envious of your little studio: no overhead to worry about, and all the best, most well-paying clients lined up for your handiwork. Father's been busy, always running between meetings, inspecting factories, and wrangling with 'politics', as he calls it. Maybe I should tell him to relax, and come in to see you. Heaven knows he's probably due for a checkup too."
Still here
"Good day, Mr. Lockheed. I'm rather fond of this hat, I'd sooner wear stilts," Felix returned the greeting humorously, "I think I'm due for some maintenance, I've been feeling a slight discomfort along my neck and back." Felix motioned as best he could to indicate the pain in his spine. Felix entered Gideon's penthouse and looked around, admiring Gideon's sense of aesthetic.
I'll be unresponsive for about a week, I've got family visiting.
"She talked back to me," Solomon said plainly, "I don't know where these Wildtypes get off being so insolent. I put her in her place."

Israfil looked downwards uncomfortably.
"I see," Kalram said, unsure how he was supposed to feel about a place he barely remembered, "Father said that if the Coalition of Elven Nations continued to engage in senseless war, something like that was bound to happen." Kalram suddenly realized how callous he must have sounded, "I-I mean...I-I'm sorry to hear that. It must have been tough, losing your...home. I don't know how I'd feel if Soren was attacked."

"Oh," Reas said, seeming suddenly a lot less interested, "I thought you'd tell me that someone in the village gave them to you as a symbol of their undying love or something." This statement came out a bit unusual, given it was intended to be humor, but was delivered in Reas' usual stoic monotone. While expressing very little emotion zirself, Reas was interested, some would say unhealthily so, in the emotions of others; love, in particular, was something ze wished to observe, to dissect, often to the chagrin and discomfort of the ones ze was observing.
