I'll be going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow and don't know how often I'll have Internet access. Thank you for your patience. I'll try to be more regular when I get back.

Solomon glared at Blythe fro a moment but then relented, "I suppose you're right, your personality is stronger than Israfil's."

"Wh-what do you mean?" Israfil asked, distressed.

"Well, you're kind of a coward, and you're indecisive," Solomon replied.

Israfil looked crestfallen.

"You just need some confidence," Solomon said almost encouragingly.
Teann blushed and sat back down when Ryul called her pretty.

"Let's not rush anything, Dear," Malkas said, trying to change the subject, "What fish are good this season?" It was early spring.
No problem, I originally thought they might be half-siblings.
"I'm surprised you got beat though," Solomon said to Israfil, "Orpheus seems to be a superior cog to Nyx, no offense. Maybe a cog is only as good as its pilot."

"At any rate," Tera continued, "Mayura and Asteria weren't even really meant for combat."
"Umm, n-not r-really," Sunder replied, scratching his head. "I-I'll be off then."

"I see," Anya said, "What do you think of my Teann?"

"Mother!" Teann yelled, getting up, and looking extremely embarrassed.

Kalram snickered while Anya said, "It's just a harmless question."
As he headed out, Sunder stopped, "Your...umm...sister, I suppose she's already gone out to hunt?"

"Very well," Malkas replied, and continued eating.

"Do you have a girlfriend, Ryul?" Anya asked.
"Man, I need to watch out for Lt. RHS from now on," Solomon complained, "He pretty much had me figured out our whole match. Did you win your matches?"

"I don't think it's really a matter of winning or losing," Tera said, not liking the competitive air that Solomon was promoting.

"I lost, Blythe was amazing," Israfil said, "I thought that I had her outgunned, but she ran circles around me."
First three NPC's are done!
Getting hit by the spear ended the simulation for both Claire and Tera. The match between Solomon and Sion also finished. Maya's voice came through the comm, "Good job everyone. Having you fight each other has given me a better idea what your strengths and weaknesses are. I'll talk it over with Sion first, but afterwards he or I will approach each of you individually to talk about it. For the time being, you're dismissed, but you can come to me or Sion if you have questions."

Solomon, Tera, and Israfil exited their cogs and congregated on the hangar floor. The screen flashed a "Goodbye" to Claire.
"Alright then, I'll talk to you later," Sunder said as he left and headed into the mine.

Kalram came back with Malkas, who sat down at the table. "Good morning, I hope everyone slept well?" Malkas asked as people started eating. "Ryul," Malkas asked, "How long will you be staying with us before you need to get back on the road?"
