It had been a fairly average day at Angel Grove University, Saya had stayed late at the medical school library with some of her classmates to go over the most recent homework assignments. As exams were still a ways away, the library was not going to be open all night, so Saya and her classmates left when the library closed. They parted ways, each going to their respective dorms. The campus, which was normally chaotic and crowded with frantic students was completely empty and silent, which Saya found charming. She strolled slowly through the unusually cold night, even breathing out intentionally to appreciate the small but fascinating phenomenon of seeing her breath condense. She looked up at the moon, deep in thought, taking in its white glow, unaware that her fate would soon be tied in mortal conflict with the cruel being that now ruled there.

OK, I have changed her age, she is now a sophomore in college studying neuroscience. I also added a small detail to her personality and updated her background accordingly to accomodate the age change. here is the link if you don't want to flip back a page to look at it.

Not super important, but I can bump up Saya's age a bit, since it has minimal impact on her character (it might even make more sense to have her be older given the 'nurturing' archetype).

No worries, it's not a person's background that makes them one-dimensional, it's how they behave. I'm generally willing to give most characters the benefit of the doubt in the beginning (not that my opinion matters since I'm not the GM :P). But on that note, I hope Saya doesn't come off as a Mary Sue either.

I also completely forgot that Rangers should have some sort of fighting ability, which I totally didn't consider when making Saya. I'll edit my post so that she learned Judo (and archery) from her father.

I'm actually not that familiar with the color tropes (other than Red is the leader, Pink is 'the girl'). I remember blue being the smart nerdy guy in the original MMPR, but since that doesn't seem to be the case this time, I intend Saya to be the smart member (oh no! Smart Asian trope!!)
