"Yeah, and what of it?" Eva asked, not looking up from her scope.

"Splendid," Handel replied cryptically. "Hey, Lucky, good job!" Handel called up. He then went to his trunk, pulled out a single den den mushi and placed it in the center of the deck of the ship. He then watched the battle, and when it looked like Eden and Hertha were running for the ship, Handel dragged his trunk down into the hold where he hid it and himself among the supplies.

The ship began to pull away from the dock as they approached the ship running side by side with Hertha, gathering some of his remaining strength he through them into the air landing them on the deck of his ship. He leaned along the side of the ships rail and waved to Ricden. "Sorry Red looks like we will have to finish this another time." He shouted the best he could has he clutched his chest in pain. "Um, do we have a medic on board." He said as he turned to his sailing mates with a large grin.

"I have some experience," Handel's voice came from the den den mushi he had placed. "First of all, you're conscious. That's good. Secondly, you were able to run to the ship. That means you're not having spasms. That's also good, by the way. You may feel some soreness, but you that should heal by itself. The last thing to worry about is burns. You may have some burns where the lightning struck you. Cool it off with running water first, and depending on the severity of the burn, you may need to apply gauze and ointment. Any more severe than that, well, then we'll have to turn the ship around and get you to a hospital."

In the hold, Handel spoke into another den den mushi that he had. He had wanted to escape on this ship at the last minute, but upon realizing that it was a pirate ship, he needed to make sure what kind of people they were, and if they weren't to his liking, he'd have to fight or flee. So until he could decide what to do, he would hide and speak with them on his terms.

Ryuunosuke shook his head at Kanaka and said “There is nothing that you should be apologetic of. After all, a negotiation implies that both parties were trying to come to a compromise of some sort. What was happening here was not a negotiation. You are free to go, Kanaka, if you wish, but once again. There is nothing for you to be sorry about. Just please, next time, have the maid interrupt if there is something important that you wish to talk about rather than just sit right outside the room.”

"I understand, Ryuunosuke-oniisama," Kanaka replied and left the room. She clutched the silk to her chest and breathed out slowly, trying to calm herself. Of course Ryuunosuke had forgiven her, he had always been kind and magnanimous. She had come to protect him, to make sure things went smoothly for him, instead, she had caused him to lose face with what turned out to be the clans spiritual ally. Turns out dealing with spirits was just as difficult as dealing with people, if not more so. Afraid of the world of politics, Kanaka had avoided it all her life, but now felt ashamed of it and vowed she would be there to support her brother through it. And she had already blundered. And this was her brother's first meeting, making this an ill omen for the meetings to come.

Kanaka took another deep breath and was planning to head back to the shrine to purify herself when she happened to look up and noticed a strange, flaming wisp suspended in midair. Her first thought was that the wolf spirit was playing tricks on her, but then she noticed that there were more that seemed to form a trail out of the building. Perhaps Touka wished to lead her to something, though it seemed unlikely given she was currently speaking with Takeshi. Kanaka remembered suddenly the other presence that had been here. The presence had given off a message, and now a trail. It definitely wished to meet her, and as if possessed, Kanaka followed the trail of wisps unti lthey led her to a man.

"Kishi-san?" Kanaka asked, recognizing the man as someone who played shogi with her uncle, and calling him by such.
I realized after the fact that Kanaka didn't greet her uncle upon his entry, which is very unlike her (must maintain formality!). Let's say she did since I was posting really slowly and left out that detail.
Haha, Cao Cao's a genius. This technique also let him gauge his officers' hubris. He killed a few who were complete smart-asses.
I'll try to get a post up tomorrow. I might make Arsenio get out of the suit, but if you guys go on ahead, let's just say he wanted to sulk for a bit.
It's going to be slow posting for me during the week. Sorry, and thank you for your patience. You can go forward without me if necessary.
It's gonna be slow posting for me during the week.

If and when Kanaka is excused, she will notice Junkojuro's flame trail and follow them.
Upon hearing Touka deem her brother unworthy, Kanaka clenched her hands on her knees as she sat there. Kanaka blamed herself for ruining this opportunity for her brother to preserve a spiritual ally. She wanted to get up, point at Touka and call her out for her insolence, but that would only exacerbate the situation. Yet it seemed that Ryuunosuke's calm reply made Touka change her mind. Touka's fire then seemed to diminish even more when her uncle came in. Kanaka chided herself for rushing into things unprepared. She should have asked her uncle for advice first. She was naive and inexperienced.

"Thank you for the silk," Kanaka said, first to Touka for offering it, and then to Ryuunosuke for allocating it to her. Then, to a maid, "Please prepare an offering of salt for Hakurou-dono." Salt was a commodity, and used as a currency in some spheres, so it would not be unusual to give salt as a gift, however, salt was also a common offering given at wolf shrines. Kanaka hoped that such a gift would be appropriate and be an acceptable apology, and would not be taken as condescension.

"Ryuunosuke-oniisama," Kanaka said, turning to her brother, "I apologize if my presence has soured your negotiations. I ask to be excused so that I may reflect on my ignorance and my actions."
"Understood," Saturnalia replied, "Ensign Noelle of the United Nations Forces, reporting." She lied, of course, she wasn't officially a member of the UN, but she was sure Veda had inserted all her false documentation into the UN databanks. "Can I be guaranteed use of your ship's energy after this battle is over?" If he could guarantee her this, she would have no reason to hold back.

Turning back to the black gundam, "You're outnumbered and outgunned, in the interest of self-preservation, I suggest you retreat." Saturnalia had no intention to spare his life, but fighting at close range really wasn't her forte. This was a waste of time for her, as her efforts would be better spent bombarding the enemy formations below.
@Vance - does Glemy have a carrier or anything like that within range? Virtue's specialty is actually anti-ship.
