You should never brush your teeth with your left hand. The reason mostly comes down to the fact a toothbrush works better.

It's at times like this that I remember my dad's final words to me before he passed. "Careful son. I don't think the safety is on." Such wisdom.

When you realize you don't know how to math and have to edit a number like 3 times to get it right.

Morgan nodded happily at Cian's words and rubbed the back of his head with a smile on his face as he closed his eyes. "That's me! This is where I haunt!" He snickered at his own lame joke. As the third man walked in Morgan began to realize that three was a crowd for this little doorway and picked himself out a seat about halfway down the table.

This was perfect. Being in the center of the room gave him a clear view of everyone and the doorway. Leaning back into the cushiony chair he relaxed slightly. He had to admit he was a little on edge because he was intensely curious about Grace and where her diner had gotten to. Morgan propped up his arm on the table and rested his head on his palm as he watched each of the fella's talk amongst themselves.

Everyone here was here for the meeting and he had seen each of them quite a few times at the library usually at a distance. Most tended to stay out of a cripple's way. Common courtesy he reckoned or maybe just so they wouldn't have to offer him aid. He didn't try to understand people, but it was ok. Morgan had a slightly stubborn streak when it came to accepting help. Plus, if he was being honest with himself, he usually fled into his office when the library became overly crowded.

When Cian asked his question Morgan stayed silent. He did not wish to be the first to speak and was rather curious as to if any others had encountered anything strange. Though he did look down at his hand and wondered if he should just activate his power since it might be easier then trying to explain and looking like a mad man.

However, before he could do that the fifth person walked in. A young woman that he felt a slight shiver run down his spine. His eyes flashed with recognition. Someone that had been in his same grade in high school. Though they rarely if ever chatted. He strained his brain slightly and if they ever spoke it might have only been in passing.

Olive.

He straightened his posture up slightly and put on his best smile though, he didn't aim it at her so if she turned to look at him, he wouldn't be smiling like an idiot. He was excited. If all these people had powers? What would it mean. Had each of them had a run in with the darkness. It had to have been frightening dealing with whatever that was.
should we give it a day to post Blitz? incase anyone else wants to submit a cs?
Yes as you say the point of the story is horror so if it’s creepy it’s on brand. If I had known my words would have caused confusion I would have worded it better. My apologizes.

@Tally Dor & @ChronicleMan, firstly, it’s a horror game. I was trying to put some creep vibes. I am glad that came across, but 🤔 I feel the word “creep” is being used differently than I want it to be used.

I don’t spend time on sites like those, which means I am probably missing something here. So, using deduction, my guess is ya’ll are just gross. 🫥

Please treat me innocent until proven guilty. I don’t really enjoy being put on constant trial. I’m sorry I made a mistake with the time period. No one’s perfect. I changed it all ezpz. But maybe, again, I’m reading the air incorrectly. If you don’t want me in the game, just lemme know. I’ll leave. There’s plenty of other games to join, and yeah, you’ve got a lot of players as is. No need to be passive aggressive? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can’t speak for man but mine Is a compliment
I have to say I did get a slight creep factor from your post Mole. Though in the back of my head I think I’ve been ruined from certain hub related sites.

Get out of my room step-sis
Feel free to ask us what we are thinking about if it’ll help your post.
I won’t be able to post for about 12 hours because of work. Is this study room conference style where it’s one giant table or is it a room full of smaller tables? I’ll brainstorm my post all day *inserts laugh emoji*
The streetlights were flickering on as a high-pitched noise broke the stillness of the darkening night. Michael was hunched over using a drill to screw down a board. He was in process of replacing the stairs leading up to his front door. The old steps were splintering and rotten. It was a project that had been on his list for a while and had suddenly moved up to a priority as he had broken through one of them the previous day and taken a tumble. Thankfully it was the bottom step, and he hadn't broken anything.

One might wonder why Michael was doing this at this hour, but when one does not get off work till its dark sometimes projects must be done at inopportune times. He was silently cursing under his breath. Havenwood woods lumber store sucked to put it mildly. Even though he only needed roughly twelve pieces for what he had in mind it had been a fight to get anything good.

"Not one fucking straight board out of forty damn pieces."

Luckily, he had been able to find some wood that was barely warped and with the drill and some screws was able to get it to lie mostly flat. As he finished the last step, he wiped his brow and sat down on the porch. A sigh escaped his lips as a cool breeze drifted across him. It was currently twilight. The darkness was chasing away the lingering orange light with gusto. Despite the calm look on his face his mind raced as he doubted himself. Wondering if there were any ways he could have done the porch better.

As his inner voice battled himself, it was all interrupted as the screen door cracked open allowing a delicious smell to waft out. A wrinkly face peered out with a joyful smile. Her voice was soft and full of affection.

"Michael dear, it looks like you did a wonderful job with the steps."

He grinned as her reassuring voice chased away his doubts. He raised himself up from the steps and turned towards her taking the door from her following her into the house. "Thank you ma. It had to be done. I can't have any of us getting hurt." Joyce nodded her head as she ladled some chili into a bowl and handed it to Michael. He took it with a smile and sat down at the dining room table and waited for her.

The smile on his face faltering as the weight he had been too busy to notice reintroduced itself in this quiet moment. Though most certainly it did not help that he could vaguely see something large and black sitting on his shoulders in the reflection of the wall mirror that was in the dark living room. Michael sighed and turned his focus away from it towards his grandmother's warm smile.

"I ain't got much money right now because of the lumber I had to buy but I'm getting paid tomorrow and hopefully I can do something about the dip in the floor in the bathroom."

Joyce just knowingly smiled, and the duo enjoyed their chili in silence. Tomorrow would bring its own headaches and Havenwood would no doubt have new shades of rot for them to deal with but now was for the living.
