Thinking about joining up here - what post length and frequency are you hoping for?

Post length is dependent on what you need to convey. I don’t mind three sentences posts if that’s what you need to move your character forward. If you want a wall of text go ahead.

As for frequency. IRL happens and this isn’t our jobs. I don’t mind leave of absences. Though long stretches might risk the death of characters in tragic and/or funny deaths as needed.

Background/Biography: Imogen's career fell into her lap when her family, she at the age of 17, found themselves embroiled in a controversy regarding the treatment of staff and whispers of fraud and embezzlement. Imogen did not discount the rumors, but having grown up in a luxurious lifestyle, she did not want to give it up so easily. Using the power of words, she rallied her family, utilizing tools like social media, to empower herself and rise above the threats. The dirt-slingers were met with criticism and hatred so vitriolic that they moved countries. Realizing the potential she held, Imogen pursued a career in public relations.

Imogen started off working at a PR firm, quickly rising through the ranks as she used her skill set to cover up parliament members carrying off affairs, hiding unwanted pregnancies, and keeping the minister's reputation squeaky clean despite his penchant for unsavory sex practices. Background/Biography:

Recruited from another company and hired to fill in after a previous specialist was lost on a mission. The previous one was killed in a mission when the building fell on them after a gas line detonated in the basement from an electrical short.

Born in Luxembourg he was part of a small family and played a lot of sports, joining the greek style wrestling team and learning to use his massive size as an advantage, work his balance, and control.

In college he found his vibe and went from being muscular to being a behemoth of a man adding 80 some pounds of solid muscle while achieving a 4.0 GPA from NYU, scoring high in his class rank and getting a visa job with a number of corporate disaster control companies.

Becoming a US citizen alongside where he was born to unlock more career opportunities. Became a skilled civilian rifle man among other things, though he struggled to find something he could use at first.

Joining the company as a contractor, the need was that the pay was good and it would help him send some money back home to help the family keep the farm in their family for another generation.

Recently back from a short time off duty wounded on a previous operation where however wildly inaccurate due to lack of military training, managed to man handle and walk fire a 100 pound 14.5mm machine gun to help his team extract with their wounded and got caught in shrapnel from a bad radio call and a fuel tank that got caught up in the fire fight.

He was not sure what came over him, but he had to help his team and afterwards was unable to work out why he would decide to reenact a scene more like the Terminator.

Background/Biography:
Soraya Mansour was 18 when she arrived in France on a Lebanese student visa on an earned scholarship. Graduating from the French system around 25 years old, she did her residency for 2 years, and was fast-tracked for dual-French citizenship before taking on charity conflict zone medicine in Lebanon.

Around this point Soraya was approached by French Intelligence(DGSE) and her life plan became more complicated than it already was, because she was immediately forced to report the contact to her handler in Tel Aviv: fully expecting her next communication to involve arrangements for her extraction, and an ignominious end to her work via a discrete flight back to Tel Aviv.

This was Mossad protocol after all

But Ronit Eitan - her real name - was not just any Mossad, she was a Caesarea agent; Ktzinet Mivtzaim. And the response she received was that too many assets had already been invested into her legend and that anyways: DGSE resources and cover could compliment her work.

Over the next several years Soraya served in medical adjacent roles where her work as a doctor and forensic pathologist put her in contact with several militant groups and Persons of Interest, providing medical treatment as well as investigating suspicious deaths, chemical weapons use, and identifying remains all over troubled regions. By all accounts she was a competent, direct, and respected medical professional: and an excellent DGSE asset.

That all ended about two years ago DGSE got wind that one of their assets may have been engaged as a member of a Mossad Kidon cell tied to several naturally attributed deaths of persons of interest. The deaths were never officially attributed to unnatural causes, but DGSE analysts assessed “High” confidence that Soraya had put at least two flagged cases in the ground herself: though the precise agent or pathogen employed was never identified.

The matter was quietly covered up between Paris and Tel Aviv, but Soraya’s security clearance for further charity work was pulled and she found herself out of a job.

The option to return to Tel Aviv was floated but by this point Ranit had spent almost two decades working and living as Dr. Soraya Mansour. Acheron Recovery Services, however, seemed the perfect ‘retirement’ for a DGSE asset whose cover had been blown and Paris agreed to back putting her out to pasture there with Acheron: who needed someone with expertise to examine… special cases.

Her background to Acheron is just that. A Lebanese born naturalized French medical doctor who'd operated in conflict zones as a DSGE fieldwork asset until her cover was compromised.

Certainly not the profile of anyone involved in wetwork.

John

There was a saying somewhere. John racked his brain for what it was; the exact words eluding him. His mind churning as he leaned further into the partially dissembled engine cowling. A haphazardly arrayed formation of parts from his shuttle and the missing colony ship's shuttle (from the bay the assault shuttle now occupied) lay on the deck around the disabled engine.

'How did it go again?' He thought futilely as he cut away a debris scored section of engine. The edges jagged and impacting. 'Life's path's are numerous as they are unexpected?'

It was a cheesy quote. He remembered the first time he saw it; a book of short stories his tutor had given him. Colorful images with moral tales for a more innocent time. Back then he had wondered at the absurdity of it. His father had told a young John what his purpose would be. His place in the grand scheme of things. Where he would start and end.

Now here he was. Family and friends dead. Fleeing his homeworld for the notion of a fresh start somewhere. Working on a spaceframe he had help perfect with none of the parts he needed off-hand.

The unappealing screech of metal resounded as John he pulled the culprit, a piece of debris, from where it had impacted a heat exchange. He sighed as he looked over the index finger size junk of jagged metal.

The debris had threaded two different needles. Through a gap in armor and an intake to disable the engine. Impossible luck that had led to John spending his waking off-hours in this bay. Trying to repair and jury-rig the engine. A task that was about on par with nudging a colony ship along with minimal training.

The clomp of approaching boots had John give a resigned sigh; the pilot wiggling his way out of the engine's inner to see who intruded into his brief and small domain. The pilot having donned a fresh flightsuit from his shuttle's locker; the green jumpsuit pulled to his waist. A necessary move given the coating of grease and carbon that clung to his face and limbs. The pilot finally pulling himself out to crouch just above the engine's access port; surveying the shuttle bay's visitor.

The War Criminal

Name: Stephen Stokes (born Viktor Bakalli)

Nationality: Yugoslavian - Kosovan - Ethnically Albanian

Skills: Expert at mine clearance, seasoned combat veteran, expert driver, combat first-aid experience, guerilla warfare expert, knowledge of criminal operations, ties to the south Slavic underworld, basic rotary aircraft operation ability. Speaks fluent English with a slight unplaceable accent. Fluent Albanian speaker. Passable Serbo-Croat language speaker. Flawless eyesight. Generally intelligent, broad knowledge based, quick learner.
Weaknesses: Pacemaker, double knee replacement, mild hearing loss, fear of explosives, currently living under a false identity, wanted by the Hague for atrocities in the early 2000s. Deep prejudice against Serbians.

Background/Biography: Stephen was born into conflict. Facing ethnic violence from birth radicalised him and he turned to Kosovan nationalism. At age 15 he joined the KLA and participated in the initial raids against the occupying Serbian police. Despite losing many friends, and much of his family he survived this tumultuous time. After the official end of the war, he continued to stoke the flames of insurgency on the Kosovan border, inciting violence against Serbian 'peacekeeping' forces. These activities and various incidents of killing Serbian settlers resulted in drawing the attention of international law enforcement. As the insurgency wound down in 2003, most of the key players in the insurgency were either killed or taken prisoner. Viktor was fortunate to escape the hangman by exploiting ties within the extensive Albanian criminal underworld. After establishing a new identity and escaping the Balkans via sea journey, he established himself for a decade in the UK, earning a place in Excalibur International as a grunt technician, due to his experience handling explosives. During this fruitful decade he managed to rise to a middling rank by nature of him surviving (that's the way the money goes in DC). Stephen has lived a life surrounded by better and more heroic men. But as he has discovered, the best men aren't the men that survive. In 2015 he defected from Excalibur on amicable terms and was taken in by Acheron in a trade deal. Excalibur was happy to be rid of him, as paper pushers within the organisation had noticed irregularities within Stephen's paperwork and realised the people investigating Viktor Bakalli weren't far behind. The clandestine transfer to Acheron's US offices have thrown the team off of his trail for sometime. Since 2015 Stephen has been acting in Acheron mainly as a training officer, with only occasional mission deployments. Due to the nature of his existence, it is unrealistic for him to ever lead a normal civilian life. For him to maintain his liberty it is imperative he lives in the shadows. DC is one of the few industries that he can operate within. His loyalty is ensured by the quiet understanding of who he really is, and what he is running from. His continued operational usefulness ensures his safety within the bowels of Silent Mountain.
