Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

@13org Oh btw Org, I noticed that under your abilities tab, it mentioned Void being a specialty. Could you remove that? I recall in our discussions that this iteration of your character did not depend on the void.

@Guilty Spark Definitely accepted, you can drop him in the Characters tab.

With that, I think we have just about enough characters for the IC to begin. Look forward to in within the next 2-4 days, if not later tonight.
Emilia turned to Lystra and immediately hid behind her, clasping both of her shoulder lightly. She was the one with the weird shiny shield after all. No safer wall than a strange magical artifact, or whatever the hell that giant plate was. The stranger looked at Lystra, his bright eyes giving off an oddly dull expression.

"I am not injured. I am covered in Kalo's blood," The man said, rather matter-of-factly. He paused and glanced at Lystra's shield. His eyes widened slightly and he looked back to her quizzically. "Where did you get that?" He asked, pointing at the disk of metal that Lystra wielded.

From behind him, Emilia noticed the hulking figure of Kalen making his way across the grassy plain, towards where they were standing. He extended his arm upwards and waved at the two girls, but was too far away to be heard if he spoke. Emilia looked at him and smiled, hopping up and down and waving back. The green haired stranger pulled his head back slowly, and craned his neck around to look at Kalen, but returned his gaze to Lystra again, awaiting an answer patiently.
Jenso's punch shattered the clone's wrist, but it quickly mended itself in a manner of seconds. Ada glared at Jenso angrily as he shrugged off the serious amount of damage to his face and kissed her teeth. The clone's fire disappeared, and Jenso's attack completely engulfed him, but he ran through the flames. Although shadow Jenso's body was melting away, it was not losing form. It jumped towards Jenso head-first, and reeled its fist back, aiming to knock Jenso right off his feet with an attack aimed at his upper body.
Emilia looked to Lystra, saying nothing as she spoke. The girl shook uncontrollably as time went on, glaring at Lystra as she attempted to lighten the mood, taken aback by her distinct lack of emotive display. "W-What?" Emilia sputtered, "Is this funny to you?" Emilia's regret immediately vanished, and he face welled up with anger. The once oblivious girl without a care in the world turned into a spiteful woman, set on figuring out exactly what the hell was going on. She walked past Lystra, glaring at her intensely with tensed brows, but she passed her friend up and starting sprinting after the mysterious stranger that was headed straight for their camp.

The figure stopped as Emilia grew closer, and turned to face her. His eyes flickered, and the girl stopped, surprised by his strange glowing gaze. She stood several feet away from him, but was too shocked to say anything, especially when he turned around, and she noticed that one of his fists was absolutely covered in blood, along a fair portion of his robe.

"Yes?"

Well I'm glad you like reading, because my IC posts sometimes summarize the events of 2-3 groups, as well as goings on across the nations.

It can be a lot to read.
@User I believe I recall you from the old S-S. You didn't post once in the IC, IIRC.
This time the Clone didn't care. It reached forward like it had planned, and took hold of Jenso's face. The flames that Jenso launched began to melt his body away, but the blue flames around the clones hand began to spread and consume Jenso's head and neck area.
Emilia reached the surface, huffing as she pulled herself desperately to the shore, past a collection of small boulders that sunk into the sand. They seemed fragmented, and sharp like knives, but she didn't notice, or care. She felt her body, from top to bottom, ecstatic that she was still in one piece. "Lystra!" She shouted, "Lystra we made-" Emilia paused and spun to the water in a panic, grappling a nearby stone and pushing herself onto her feet. There was no sign of Lystra yet. Emilia froze up again, but her hand stung something fierce. She looked down and noticed she'd slit her palm on one of the nearby stones, spinning around to observe her surroundings. They were all sharp, every last rock around her, and they were covered in blood. Was it her blood? No, there was too much of it. What could it have been?

Then she saw it, the remains of a nearby boulder, absolutely doused in crimson liquid. Emilia gasped and inched towards it, slowly making her way around the stumped rock. What she found almost made her toss the remnants of the feast onto the sandy ground. It was a headless body, positively limp. She looked it over, unable to turn away, and identified the features in mere moments. This was Kalo's corpse. Emilia spun towards the direction of the campsite in terror, and noticed a short figure making their way across the lakeside to where the tents sat. Emilia didn't recognize them, but their clothing was foreign. A green robe, and no shoes. Not only that, but their hair held a distinct coloration, and was slicked back like a knife. Green hair, and a green robe... Emilia backed away from Kalo's corpse and scanned the lake's surface for any sign of Lystra, but saw nothing.

The situation looked bad, worse than Emilia had anticipated, for sure. But Lystra's final moments were far off. A power began to emanate from deep within the shield once again, pulsing through her body and restoring her stamina and physical abilities, far beyond what she'd been used to. It felt like a surge of adrenaline, strengthening her ability to move and pushing her to continue despite the odds. This time the feeling of warmth persisted, despite the shield losing its shine within a few seconds. Was it the shield? No, it couldn't be. The shield was just a tool, after all.

It was coming from within Lystra herself.
"Ahhh~" Vale breathed and smiled wide, revealing every one of his teeth to Victor. "A king! A King! Lord of chaos, lurking beyond the greatness of our sky in his tower up high, vicious, vicarious, vividly vintage in his venue, ah verily... A woman! Yes, she lurks near, offering the promises, more willing to suck blood than, dare I say it, even I! You see, young victor, my eyes hold a secret for few to fully understand, frivolity is not in my nature, no, not at all. Destiny and time, it is unchanging, and I see it so clearly, beyond the fabric that binds our world, safe from the void beyond its walls. Did you really think revival of the dead was possible?" Vale ended his rant with a gruesome, disgusted looked, and spun away from Victor, heading towards Vermont's house. As he turned around, a blade was visible, sheathed and attached to his back. Vale reached for its hilt and pulled the ebony weapon from its casing, revealing his killer intent.

"I wonder, I wonder! How does she taste? Will she allow me to get close enough, this time around? A gamble! A gambling man, I am! I see fragments, mere fragments of providence, but I live without fear, as I should, for I am immortal! Ahahaha!"
