I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Says the guy named "Rush" xD

Yea, no. I never rush my plots.
"Stiff shoulders," the girl parroted again, rubbing her right bicep vigorously. "You are Shadra, created- Umm.. Shadra. My name is.. Shadra. Alvios?" Shadra looked at Rebecca, who smiled and waved at her. "Hel..Looo." The dark girl knelt down and began crawling on all fours. Rebecca stepped back, startled, but Shadra crawled around her and Alvios until she was right next to Rebecca, like a dog. "Hello!" Rebecca smiled and waved again.

"I'm Rebecca! Very nice to meet you," Rebecca announced formally, flinging her hand forward for a handshake. Shadra flinched for a moment, and glared at the tiny girl's hand.

"Rebeccaaa.."
@rush99999 Yes, that was partially my mistake. I should have been more specific. At any rate, I'll be posting soonish. I'm a little conflicted on which route to choose here.
Ezekial turned to Mikhael as he swept at the snake-like apparition and sighed. "I'll do what I can, Mikhael. But my senses are dulled by this mist, I'm not sure if I'll be able to.." He paused and turned, distracted by a sudden surge of energy that even Mikhael would have been able to feel. Just then, a second snake-like tendril of smoke latched on to Lucas from above, and encompassed his body in an instant. Ezekiel suddenly felt a weight lift from his shoulders, and when he turned around, Lucas was gone. "What!?" In moments, the scene went quiet again, and the two were left alone to weigh in on their newest loss.

"We are still trapped," Ezekial barked, "it's subtle, but I feel it. This is an illusion, a trap, as you've noted. I can't figure out where it's coming from, but it's far more complex than any kind of illusion I've witnessed before. It's attacking our brains, but also.. Affecting the terrain?" Ezekial turned to Mikhael and sighed, shaking his head. "I can't break it by simply overpowering the source of the magic. I don't you will be able to either. This is problematic."
Ok, before I post, make sure to NOT lot that patron come out again, unless he's EXCESSIVELY WEAKER than he just was. By power scale, Prisma is excessive, and his presence is purposely meant to catalyst the plot into motion.

An energy blast capable of blowing up an entire tavern is far beyond what, for example, Jenso is capable of in his hero tale, and he's already at chapter 60+ at 1111+ posts. I'll try and rush the plot towards explaining your sword, or at least getting some backstory in on it, but your patron should not be able to go toe-to-toe with someone like Prisma for more than a couple of seconds in the future. From the tone, it seems like your patron is some obscene power boost that you already have full access to, rather than something that can grow in power over time.
Jenso quickly made his way through the castle walls, but would soon come to realize that everything looked the same. The walls were all white, and almost blended together to anybody who wasn't familiar with the castle layout, and the floor was the same. No directing signs, and no guards indoors. What was going on here?

Eventually, Jenso was out of the endless chain of hallways, and found a door. But as soon as it opened, there were only more hallways. Was he just completely lost? Or..

"Is he taken care of?" Sera barked into his walkie talkie. A voice spoke back, coarse and overladen with age.

"Yes. He's trapped. We'll keep him here for the next 5 hours, until the finals start. Then we'll warp him over to the tent."

"Make sure he doesn't break through that. Otherwise we'll lose those valuable kids. Without them, our plan won't come to fruition, understood?" The walkie talkie hissed for a moment, before a grunt sunk through the static. Then it went silent. Sera sighed and looked outside of his tent. "All according to plan."
The girl looked to Alvios and her smile vanished. People began to stare now that the black-coated girl was immobile. Who was she? Where did she come from? They were awfully curious, but couldn't be bothered to pay attention for long. There were plenty of odd characters that passed through Arcadia, few of whom spoke to anybody before taking their leave. This girl was no different to any of them.

"Can I help you Miss?" The small girl parroted in the same tone that Alvios used. Her head swayed to one side ever so slightly and she blinked, looking down to the floor, as if lost in thought. It wasn't long before she nodded in a curt, polite manner. As she did so, he posture changed, and he hands dropped to her side, like she'd become an entirely different person. "Awfully quick. The people here- They are unbearably- Interest me greatly." The girl paused, changing how she spoke between each phrase. It was odd, almost eerie to witness. "What is your Name?"

The questioned sounded more like a demand than anything else. She glared at Alvios sternly as she asked, but quickly returned to her frightened demeanor after saying so.

At the head of the crowd that gathered around Helios' statue, the city's elder counsel was addressing their people, preparing to make way for the festivities. A speech, monotonous and irritating as it always was. 'thank Helios for our light, eat and drink in prosperity,' whatever most people wanted to hear on a good day. The black haired girl didn't turn to listen, totally toning the old man at the foot of Helios' statue out of her mind.
@Dusksong Oh yes, of course. There's no problem as long as neither of us goes a few hundred steps too far beyond what's acceptable, don't worry.
Rebecca twirled Alvios' hair playfully as he showed her around. As they made their way through the crowd though, Rebecca couldn't help but notice something sifting through the crowd towards her and Alvios. Within moments, it was upon them. A short, 5'6'' girl with hair blacker than the night, and a mask that covered her entire face. The eye slits revealed a dark glow, barely visible when constrating her mask, and her body was tightly wrapped with a similar material, up to her wrists, neck, and ankles.

"Alvie look!" Rebecca said, tugging his hair gently, "A girl!"

She looked young, but no younger than 25. Her figure was lithe, and revealed much, with her black hair tied back in a neat, long ponytail that appeared to be burnt at the edge.

"Hello!" Rebecca called out. The black haired girl looked up and rose her hand, looking unsure of herself, before gently waving to her. The corners of her mouth perked up through he mask, revealing a nervous smile through the tight fabric, but she did not register Alvios at all.
The guard smiled and let Jenso through. The massive doors opened slowly at his signal, and allowed Jenso access. Within moments though, one of the guards began whispering to another, and the doors shut behind Jenso with a mighty slam.
