Hey remember when this site didn't have 3 tabs in the IC threads? Crazy.

I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

The first man stumbled back, and fell onto his butt, his two metal leg enhancers clanking against the ground. The second man tried to lift his gun, but was frozen in fear, and took Jenso's kick head-on, twisting his entire body until his head hit the ground and knocked him out. The man who fell over backed away from Jenso fearfully, pushing himself back until he was rested against one of the operating tables.

"P-Please!" He cried, raising his hands to shield his face.
The remaining elders, Joseph and Manfred, were somewhat confused by Alvios' comment. "You've stood as the only bastion this city has against... Whatever those people were. We should be apologizing, that Arcadia could not defend herself. You've done enough," Joseph urged, inching closer towards Alvios with one hand outstretched. The entire village square was in shambles, and bodies were strewn about. The fact that the elders remained relatively stalwart was surprising. People broke down around Alvios and the elders, falling over their loved ones that lay scattered atop the cobbled circular plaza. Few were heeding Helios' fall, noting just how little faith the people had in their legendary hero. Or perhaps, all the believers had been promptly wiped out? Poetic injustice, if anything. A few of the civilians crept out from between the houses and stores that lined the edges of the plaza, still in shock that the little city was victim to such a relentless attack, unprovoked.

"Your wound," Manfred wheezed, pulling Joseph back and noting Alvios' side, "What happened to your wound? Where.."
A shadow perked up from within the cart moments later, spinning slightly and blocking out a fair portion of the light. Whoever was inside the cart, lowered themselves, and disappeared from the lightened backdrop created by whatever source of light was flickering within. Looks like Felix was busted.

A man peered up and over a few splintered wooden planks, glaring at Felix quietly. He had black hair, and soft blue eyes. Human? Or Elf? It was hard to tell. His ears were covered by a thick red bandanna, and most of his body was hidden behind the cart's debris.
Fuso didn't respond. He looked at Lystra intently, but closed his eyes shortly afterwards, letting his head gently fall towards the ground. A curse left his lips. Emilia made her way over to Lystra and patted her shoulder.

"It's over now, thankfully," Emilia said, relieved. But what was over? Somebody had just snatched a boy up, and killed his brother without any remorse. What the hell did any of it mean? Emilia didn't seem to care. "It might take some time, but I'm sure we'll all be able to move past this uh.. This."
Jenso rushed forwards, but a couple of the bullets from the solo man struck him. The didn't do much though, not with so few, and before the man had a chance to react with his enhanced legs, he was knocked down, crashing against the floor as Jenso struck him. The final two ran around the marble piece, but hesitated for a moment.

"Uh, sir... We may have a problem," One said into a wrist-mounted device that looked just like Sera's walkie talkie.
~ Chapter 3 ~

Left With Too Few, Where Heroism Begins

Alvios was left the scene of hundreds slaughtered. There was no trace of rebecca or her parents, and with his sweeping attack from earlier, the masked man had wiped out more than two thirds of the village's population, along with...

Oh no... Helios' statue began to creak, and a large crack jutted out from its center. Within moments, the entire structure came crumbling forwards, landing in the center of the giant massacre, and shattering into hundreds of pieces. The remaining village's elders approached Alvios quietly, with less than 40 people left, many of whom had already scattered away from the village square.
The smoke engulfed the two without delay, and with an audible puff, they were gone. The last scene that Alvios could catch, was the mystery man's eyes, focused intently on him.

~ End Of Chapter 2 ~
The bullets ricocheted off of the slab of white marble flooring, and Jenso's fireballs crashed down. One of the men was lit aflame, and knocked over, but the others dashed around the barricade that Jenso created and began firing upon him from both sides.
The path looked long, arduous, and possible littered with dangers. Durwith said it himself, the south was currently a battleground for the Nations of Jorgon and the Eleven capitol of Illias. If Felix made it all the way to Little rock unharmed, he would be the luckiest man alive...

It didn't take as long as anyone might've expected to run into somebody on the road to Jorgon. Nearly an hour into his stride, and Felix came across a traveler's cart, broken down and half-buried into the side of the road. The silhouette of a dead horse barely peeked around he edge of the covered cart, limp and surrounded by starved, little flies. More interesting however, was the shadow of a man, flickering against the top edge of the cart's roof. Was there a fire? How long had he been there? Regardless of the answers, he didn't notice Felix.
The entire purpose of this thread is for characters, and players, from individual hero Tales to converse/fight IC (In an non-canon setting) or just talk it down with the rest of the players from other tales.

There is also potential for a Group Hero Tale, but I've yet to finalize this idea, and am pretty satisfied with the individual hero Tales for now.

We also have a discord chat for those who play games and/or want an easier medium to speak with each other. You can get a link to it Via PMs if you'd like. Either way, I figured this could be a neat little nexus for y'all.

Needless to say, I'm not going to be moderating this very often. But it's here.

It's also an outlet while I take four years to update the tales xD
