Including the man eating one that inhabits the ruins? I wonder how Kirigiri is going to describe it xP

Aw man, we had the same idea? Now I'll have to make mine into a cat eating one.
Time to hope this "field trip" or "assignment" leads to Rexicorg because spiders.

Psssh, we'll kill all the spiders before you get here. No spiders for you.

You can do small threats and traps for the most part. But I'll be controlling the boss in the dungeons. The alien-warrior cool be a mini-boss.

Cool! I just didn't want to put too much burden on ya. GMing is exhausting. :P
Měihóu Niángniang

"Good. I don't think I'd want to stand next to anyone who thought taking them on would be a great idea." Měihóu smiled a bit at Chen's description of his combat capabilities. "Watch your step, and avoid wading through water or underbrush. If it's not hostile itself, and trust me, the water here can burn if it's real bad, it's probably got hostile critters hiding in it. Even the insects around here can be bad news, to say nothing of the spiders."

Měihóu gave a slight glance to the wall's images, having seen them many times before, and quickly moved away. While Měihóu's experience here gave her distinct capabilities at surviving, it had perhaps blinded her to wonders seen too many times to be appreciated.

As they delved deeper, Měihóu would keep them towards paths where the ruins where more whole and the underbrush kept at bay. They had to backtrack or cross gaps, however, due to the vast lengths of time since this Měihóu's memories had been formed, the times changing even these ruins. However, as they got closer to the labyrinth proper, Měihóu's memories got more accurate, the inner areas more resistant to change.

Eventually, they stopped before a cracked open portal and a building that looked positively pristine compared to crumbling walls and ruined half of buildings they had passed. Here was an entrance to the Labyrinth proper. Měihóu leaned down and inspected the ground, which seemed to have a peculiar blue vinelike growth over the floor. "Hmm... Don't know a way inside to the labyrinth other than this chamber, and it seems to be infested with Frost Wasps. They lay down a network of vines that sense the heat of anything passing by, then they wake and swarm and sting it to death. And they're about as big as hummingbirds."

@TheWindel

Hey, do you want to be in charge of the obstacles for Rexicorg?

I was thinking I'd throw some simple stuff at us to stall for time, but if you want to be in charge, I can dig. I was feeling a bit of a metroid-y vibe for this area, was thinking of some environmental hazards, some creepy critters, then a ghost-alien-warrior boss.
Oh so Acerbus is there too?

I know not. But he should be!

I saw, I just wanted to let some others have a chance to post before I did.

Well, I suppose Sierra or Syn might join us, but then the Librarians would have pretty much forfeited the desert arena thing. Not that anyone other than Fei/her boyfriend should get it, story theme wise.
Gunnaya's strike landed first, acting quicker. When the staff began pushing into the arm and it began giving under the strike, it was fortunate for Blithe that, due to their respective angling, before her arm reached its maximum flexibility, the staff smacked into Blithe's side. This was, by no means comfortable.

With her arm knocked about, Blithe's stab landed with limp force, snagging on the fur hide for but a moment before deflecting away with only some fluff as its prize.

Blithe desperately hauled her shield between them once more, knocking the staff away if it had not been withdrawn already, and set both her arms upon it, readjusting her grip so that she could discard it.
My view of the fight was a little different I see, that's where we can get into problems. I was thinking that, even with my lunge, there was still some distance between us, still in striking range, certainly, but not in grappling range yet.

But I can roll with this certainly.
@floodtalon Hey ho, I posted, forgot to mention you.
