Current A scantron exam, but the answer is always C. Just C. Always C. Not a single A, B, D, or E. All answers are C. The statistical improbability is diabolical!

"So easily swayed by the waggle of a tongue." Bedivere sighed his disappointment in the vampire matron who decided to join us. "Since when did you become such a harlot?" Gabriel's petty antics were tiresome, and really quite expected of a man-child. "But for you Mithias to be so kept on the short leash? I expect more from you than to blindly follow the fool's plan. So long has he not played at the table that he forgets the rules. Such has the value of pawns in the early game, though often undermined, it is the positional structure of the King's own men which often entraps him. But it is in the late game where they become more crucial. Perhaps these pawns will reach the end and promote themselves into becoming more than mere footmen. But at the same time, worrying too much about promoting them, and you shall trade your remaining assets and position for one unit on the board? Unwise.

And though I agree that the leader who can read the minds of our enemies in indeed an asset. Do not forget what will become of us should the be the King in court. It is rather befitting really, given that the king is the one piece that can never be put in harm's way. The game requires for the rest of us to do what we can to protect him. The king in check must move like a coward and hide behind the rows of warriors before him. fifteen peons shall die before the King is to be beheaded. Isn't that part of your plan Gabby?

Or am I far from being right in that, assuming that you believe unlike your boy the Orbital Satellite is quite a threat to your life? And as such you have expected to send a Rook, a Bishop and an Old Knight in an attempt to capture their metaphorical Queen? You should be able to do it yourself, simply walk into their base of operations and control their minds to destroy the Satellite. Unless of course your reconnaissance suggest no such option exists and even your powers have limits. To which I must turn the floor back over to Mithias who claims your powers are useful enough. But you can't even command a human to flip the lightswitch off?

Also, you forget that in the depths of space, day and night cease to formally exist, and all the waters of the world of which my Lineage is bound to cannot connect me into the stars beyond. Thus I am afraid you misread the movement abilities of your Knight, or did I need to remind you how the pieces move as well? But enough idle banter. To gain my support you must first Bell the Cat. I believe the Age of Kings was done in with the last truly great king's disappearance, but you may just prove me wrong."

Having said he piece Bedivere returned to the sipping of his tea, casting a glance at Mithias casually before setting his sights on Adam. "O'Neal, there is a particular relic in my possession you may wish to become intimate with. That is if you decide to wish to become more familiar regarding possibly counter-measures to the vampire-abomination-halfling epidemic or whatever it may be given your background in the biological fields. The blade known as Contagion may be of interest. Call me old-fashioned if you will but I stopped at Darwin. Yes, Now there's an Englishman proper. The Strong survive and will dominate the weak. This is the rule of nature, and why these humans do not cede to our will is beyond me. Perhaps a bit of sickness shall be the cure to their manic illness?" So many hints dropped that Bedivere may have put the pieces together or at least suspected Adam's involvement.

Well, we could go along with it, but that would require Bedivere to be slightly empowered somehow. Unless we are fine with my rewriting the weaknesses and such...

As far from physics as we have come, I think I may need to draw the line at teleporting a shadow guest alongside Bedivere or Chantelle. In fact, I don't think Chantelle can do any kind of "teleport." It doesn't say so in her bio. And as far as powers go, teleporting really isn't physically explainable or even fudgable as far as remote believeability, nor is any kind of "true" invisibility. It should therefore be banned, but I had to give it to Grey for... reasons. We fudge the rules a lot in this rp.

However, if Bedivere is somehow shapeshifting into water molecules... don't ask, and joins into one body of water only to re-shift back to vampire form using other water molecules at a new location, then ok... but during the process he technically didn't have a shadow. Victor can't hitch a ride.

As far as cutting power cables under water... well any water in space would be ice. Perhaps Bedivere could still port to ice, but could he travel far enough to reach orbital space??

Water in space isn't part of the earthly Hydrosphere. I'm afraid even if this is possible and we could somehow extend the metaphysics of how his water warp works into the explainable physics, it would still be restricted to earthly waters due to the lore behind his lineage. Which is why neither he, nor the Pale Lady, nor any of their children have a shot at existing in space.

As for how it works? Well technically I'd assume some level of physics above my pay grade is involved. However I'd wager some quantum mechanics can explain how to Bedivere's line, water can act as a medium for macro-level quantum tunneling. That is to say, those of his sort of vampire, one powerful enough to use this technique could induce the particles of their cellular mass tunnel through water from one surface to another surface elsewhere as if there was no matter in between either surfaces. This however cannot be done in space, as there is no conjoining matter in between the vacuum and as such would be very difficult to establish a proper quantum tunnel through nothing.

That's how I would explain his powers in a quasi-scientific way. As Wiz stated earlier. However agreed that there requires some time to pass to tunnel through the objects. At which, maybe we can account for some time dilation to shave off the actual time required.

Edit: I'll also post sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Um, I don't think if I were to stick to the lore behind the character, I would have Bedivere beam himself up into space.
Hey Wiz, just an recap, since the concept of Day and Night does not exist in Space, or rather has no point of reference as it is both equally day and night outside of the earth elsewhere, Bedivere can't exactly exist in space without being both the most powerful vampire you have ever seen on this side of the universe in the darkness that is space (which really isn't dark at all given the amount of CBR and light traveling through it) as well as just incinerate due to the daytime.

I'm not sure if this is what you intended as I did mention going to the moon would have been a perfectly valid defense too.

And this is Adam's.

In keeping with the tradition of using GIF's to express the current reaction of our vampires... Enjoy my post.
"Yes, I killed them. I am certain as O'Neal would tell you, cancerous tumors are removed with a sharp knife." His reply to Mithias was short, reasonable enough. "I only hope that you do not become anything like your Father here, and while I am not too keen on addressing the Doctor, I suppose one of you will take after him..." To which he turned to Gabriel with a expression upon is visage, so remarkably elitist that it only could be described with the fourth-wall breaking meme below:

"Please Gabriel, the pot calls the kettle black. If I recall, you did nothing to fight in our war, so why start now? You merely predicted our failure to which, must please you to no end. And yet, you are a prime example as to why we are in such a sorry state. Elders like yourself, megalomaniac with delusion of their own self-worth, failed to lift a finger in battle. They did nothing, hardly riding out into battle themselves and taking the frontlines, but merely grasping at the threads to sequester more power for themselves once the war was over. Did they pride themselves on being immortals? Only to squander away their lives as reclusive hermits not giving a damn about the rest of their kin? They were cowards, who preferred their own lives to the lives of thousands of others, of their own fledglings and brotherhood. They had all the power in their grasp to crush the rebellious humans, and yet they did not. They absolute sat on their laurels and watched the vampire world waste away, and you Gabriel you old Codger are the king of them all. So speak all you want against my actions, while your own list of failings grows. How long has it been since you actually gave a damn outside of your own desires?

I have lived for scant a millennia and I have done more toward reaching the vampire world than you have done in your entire lifetime you fool. Your list of faults dominates the planet for not having acted sooner, your powers are squandered away on acquiring base carnal needs, so save your breath, you will need it to inflate your date later this evening will you not? You sit upon your unworthy throne and judge the rest below, but like a tyrant king you do nothing to the plight of your kinsmen, and what Knight would I be not to oppose your unjust rule? You are the child who believes himself king between us, truly nothing more than an suckling infant, unwilling to stop breastfeeding off his mother's breast and expecting others around him to feed him so that he may live without a cause to do anything else. The King of vampires indeed, as he proclaims his own title to feed on the vampires himself!

So make your little speech and go on your ego trip. Whilst we call you Gabby, no one wants to listen to a useless old man who should have died long ago ranting about how the younger generation is doomed. Those flightless birds lay eggs and will for their eggs to fly. But I can see through your clever charade for what you truly are. Behind the mask, peel back the years, and idiotic mania, you are a failure. Chasing after what you cannot obtain to satisfy you. You hide beneath your veils, running away from the inescapable. You are only alive because I have others more worthy to execute, but soon my list will grow shorter with your lifespan you Codger. So run little boy, leave the table to men."

Bedivere calmly and openly mocked Gabriel yet again. Sipping the cup of tea which was far better this time around. His reactions however thus far have been rather muted, given the number of vampires in the hotel. Although certainly they may have noticed the tides around the island beginning to claim more beachfront. The humans in Hawaii may have been unaware to their coming doom.

I really ought to work on Faust...
"In all honesty, I must confess, O'Neal here brought me to this place on business. A proposal to deal with waking up a pitiful excuse of Dracula's Son. In which I have no strong inclination to go wake up the failure of the first war." Bedivere picked up the chipped and cracked teacup to express his scorn towards the unworthy brew and glared at the still frightened out of his wits concierge to signal to find him another. "Therefore, no, I did not expect to be your family reunion or whatever it seems to be turning out into. The council is dwindling and only a few of us that matter are left on it now. Most of the Eastern vampires disappeared, hunted down. The Europeans are next, The last known vampire holding out Africa is in Egypt, retired to her Tomb and sealed shut with curses. South America, from what I've heard is also hiding in the mountains and jungle. As for North America, well..."

An interruption by a Doctor Church, of who Bedivere simply glanced at without as much of a word to the man. Not that he was addressed anyhow. As such no such courtesy was extended to Church. Though certainly the man was not as daft to think that O'Neal was not behind the Vampire halflings. Bedivere simply put the piece together, as Yamada held an large portion of the market, the given report from Church suggested biological warfare. Now, very few vampires have modernized to control a field in industry as far as Adam had in the biomarket. Hence unless some human was making metahuman vyrelings, it definitely had a touch of a vampire's hand in it. And given his reply, well did he think it would fool anyone? The commentary really should have been spared before Adam had a chance to examine the case, only an expert would cast his lot without experiencing it. A most unwise move.

As for the tickling sensation of Gabriel's presence. Bedivere chuckled, if Gabriel would and could probably read everything in his mind. Every intent and past action. Every bit of history he brought to the surface, layers buried deep. And he smiled. Knowing that Gabriel would find out something quite possibly disturbing. Very disturbing. Well other than the fact that Bedivere wanted to murder Gabriel and was well within distance to end it, yet found Gabriel useful enough for the time being to at least serve as a figurehead for whatever it was they wanted to try now. Oh and the fact that had been busy killing off the other Old Bloods behind the scenes. To which he envisioned a smile and let Gabriel see his own name on the bottom of the list. It was rather clear to the mind-reader that Bedivere really cared not for his little puppet show, nor for what his mouth would say next. For should Gabriel want to keep his little game, then he had better shut up and play at the table at last.

"You are one to speak O'Neal. For whereforth am I here but to answer your call to conspiracy? False promises and Betrayals you cry out? Well then, you can see why I have dire reservations to do so. You do not speak the entire truth yourself, nor do I, or anyone else here for we are creatures of the silver tongue. Gifted with guile beyond measure, but only so few of us know how to use it. Brother Mithias here is rather blessed to be immune to his father's lobotomies, and yet the Old Codger never mentioned Doctor Church here. So clearly even information is withheld from our own fledgings. Does this come as news or bother you O'Neal? Or have you in your lifetimes never quite understood the concept of the shadow war we live in? Had you the ability to probe my mind, you would see the truth in naked form, beautiful and deadly, enslaving but yet liberating.

I killed the Council. All those unworthy to remain, those cowards, Magnus and the Wolf, the Eastern vampires, Lady Natasha, my former European Allies, the Africans... The rest were hunted by the Purge, but I merely assisted in the thinning of bad blood. Removal of those who would tether us down in a war with cowardice and ineptitude. I am the porcelain plate to which they should streaked against, for if they cannot best me, they would fall against the humans like pearls cast before the swine." A moment's pause to take a drink of his newly acquired cup of hot tea from the passing concierge. "And you would also know there is but one key to his tomb. Not the three I lead you to believe existed. But the key is beyond the grasp of we Immortals. For a vampire which attempts to set a foot within the place the key is kept, shall be greeted with death. So try as you may, you shall need to send a human to fetch your key. And I shall let no such human pass my halls unless they are Knights of Camelot..."
I may post tonight or tomorrow afternoon. Whichever fits best with my flight schedule.
I'm not sure either. That being said, I think Adam needed a pick me up after getting metaphorically bent over and screwed from both ends with Bedivere's sharp critiques.
