Description
While but over six feet in height Mark Chayce is no giant in pure stature, his physical form is that of a finely honed natural weapon; evenly muscled throughout, his appearance invokes the same sort of assessment would of an apex predator - something designed for but one purpose, of which is to hunt lesser things. As with the animal he is now forever bonded with, he has become something of the savage domain, to the point that his very flesh and blood is forever altered. Now bearing darkened, near black hair kept short, cropped and clean, his tanned skin features minor scars of his various wounds healed and his ambered eyes shine with dedicated passion to a cause.
While no master of disguise, Mark Chayce does make a good habit to emulate those he considers his enemy so as to move more freely; incognito and posing as a mere man. Often assuming the appearance of an authority figure, varying from business men to police officers, he dresses and plays the part exceptionally well, carrying out the roles to the point most assume he is exactly what he appears to be, rather than what he truthfully is. This quality has made him difficult to actually identify, as without his iconic form to go by, none are truly certain who the Dreadfang is.
Acting with preparation, Dreadfang tends to wear functional clothing, such as cargo pants, boots, simple shirts and more often than not, body armor, where possible or practical. Versed in the application of conventional and military hardware and tactics, he is at no disadvantage while operating conventional weapons like those of firearms, even preferring to keep them on his person.
Biography
Seven years ago Mark Chayce disappeared all but completely from his life as a failed student. Having previously majored in biology, with a subset in philosophy, he found ever increasing turmoil and conflicting feelings for the highly advanced world around him, many of which left him with far too many questions and far fewer answers. Described as highly withdrawn, he seemingly left without apparent warning on the morning of September 27th, leaving behind no notice as to what became of him. Despite becoming a missing person, Mark Chayce was not seen for almost six years.
Previously presumed dead, he returned to the United States under a different name. Having traveled the world over, seeking some sort of answers, he assumed at some point a vision of what it was he was to do. This experience, truly supernatural, arose out of a near-death experience during his time in India, where having fallen to his apparent death whilst alongside a mountain, Mark Chayce survived for the next few years under the watch of an inhuman force. Weaned back to life by an adoptive mother, an elder tigress, his lapses in consciousness were peaked by a voice of which he did not know.
While questioning his reality and the outright impossibility of his situation, Mark Chayce began to both request of and listen to the unknown speaker as she provided unnatural insight and accuracy to things that could not be known. As time progressed and his wounds healed, his beastly savior continued to protect and attend to him, all while accompanied by the unknowable mentor. At last again able to function on his own and so enlightened by the events, Mark Chayce began to inquire further the reason for being spared several fold.
Informed he was to be granted this second chance on behalf of the animal world, whose domain held his life in its balance, he questioned further what was to be done with it. The answer, while immediately unsettling, was no different from what could be expected from a spirit of the animal domain; to fight back for what it claimed as its own. It was now that Mark Chayce submitted to his assumed destiny, acquiring great supernatural power in the process of the embrace. Becoming steeped in the life of the tiger, learning from his companion as she tutored him, he became increasingly less sympathetic to humans.
Practicing, honing his primal art and those of men, Mark Chayce quickly became the Bane of Men - a Mortal Hunter, or a thing refined to wreck havoc upon men. A thing of "justified vengeance", he kept within the region's myth of the weretiger - just as those before him did, discovering he is not the first of the wild's agents. But all did not fare well forever...
With the passing of his beloved companion and the setting of her to rest in the fullest of rights, Mark Chayce knew it was time at last to return to his home and become a living weapon of nature; his experience born out of trial and conflict, he proved far more ready than ever imagined. Having fought as man and beast for six years in the harsh jungle made him a thing worthy of fear - the Dreadfang, or the mentality of a living terror incarnate.
Initial attacks attributed to bizarre instances of terrorism or questionable assassinations through apparent although impossible animal attacks, the rumor of something more began to grow as evidence mounted that these cases were indeed one in the same in source. To compound the psychological effect and further degrade the morale of his enemies, Mark Chayce began to allow his strikes to paint a wide spectrum of targets. None were spared, from the desperate and dying who attempted folk medicine born of illicit animal goods, to industry giants who took part in illegal hunting activities.

- The name "Dreadfang" arises not by choice, but assumed instead from the works of the media, of which recognizes the truly supernatural aspects of his abilities. No less made out to be an unabashed villain by major outlets, something fear worthy and unsettling was decided upon to better label his talent, nature and apparent demeanor as a savage. In spite of this, "Dreadfang" admires the title, assuming it for his own uses and considering it an honor that his enemies feel such terror at his deeds to bestow a term just for him - one that no less grants him notoriety and prestige.

- There is little doubt in the minds of any that Dreadfang's alliance with the Legion of Chaos is a matter of opportunity; a decision made upon grey morals and necessity. No friend of those who believe themselves "heroes of the modern era", destined to lead humanity into some "greater place", Mark Chayce collaborates out of the need for others to help advance his own cause. Truthfully, he adheres to no other beliefs but those of his own and makes no mistake to this.

- Having been touched by a truly spiritual experience beyond mortal comprehension, Mark Chayce received a vision that forever altered his mind - the resulting supernatural gifts of the event having made him resistant to mind-affecting effects among others.

- Granted the attributes of one of the world's greatest predators, the tiger, even as a mere man Mark Chayce retains its abilities in the flesh, be them its immense strength, incredible reflexes or heightened senses among all others. Subsequently able to exceed normal human physical limits, he can do what is oft impossible for average men. No less in this supernatural boon he receives minor resilience and healing factor beyond this, with the added ability to command animals at will.

- Able to supernaturally assume the form of an uncharacteristically large tiger in but less than a moment, Mark Chayce only compounds his already inhuman ability by adding yet another, even more savage layer. The act of shapeshifting, of which is fluid and hardly time consuming, allows him to cycle between man and beast in moment's time and the process itself mends minor injuries of which are not mortal. As a tiger, compounded by his other supernatural boons, his claws and fangs rend steel and his recovery and resilience are far greater - truly magical in nature. Although unable to speak, he retains his mental command of animals while so transformed.
