It is indeed a "no", but I do not want it to come across as "you have bad ideas" or that "my story is so much better". I would rather just explain to you and all other participants or readers why in this case it would not fit in.

When no matter what explanation you give for something, people posing the same question a different way. It is one thing to elaborate on something you posed if you believe the response was not totally comprehensive, but it is another entirely when you just change gears and insert something different in the same format and vein. "It did not gain approval? What about this? It is like that in every way, but not because of these reasons."

While the slowness of posting does drive me to the end of my wits, I admit it does have the benefit of allowing me to work on other projects. Needless to say, I have invested a lot in the personality and characters I have had here, so it is much of why I am so fierce as to trying to keep momentum; waiting on posts is never a positive situation for a roleplay.

I always say this, but I hope this weekend we can actually make some progress. I am not fond of being so idle.

It depends upon the location, @Silver Fox. There are some locations such as the inner city, outer city and suburbs where prey scarcity is a major factor of the conflict. In further, more distant areas around the city it is mostly untouched and the expansion is in the pursuit there of is a major factor; it is part of why the Crimson Fang is such a menace, in that they blatantly invade the territory of others, and why the Second Sun are so hostile to any predator that enters their territory. In theory, to answer your livestock question, it is possible for them to try to "farm" them, but as of now? There's no such effort.

@Zetsuko, by myth I explicitly mean the perception of supernatural or impossibility based on false information or erroneous reports. The animals of this world live in a time where information is scarce, damaged and mostly lost. Their perceptions lead to why they might believe someone such as one of their leaders could do everything from raising the dead to sorcery. There are no entirely artificial entities created by mankind; even actual hybrids such as a liger or wolfdog are accidents from this period after humans, not intentional design choices.

Sentient mammals were and are as explicitly as exotic as things were before the collapse of civilization, as the morality question ground it to a halt. The de-extinction of mostly Pleistocene animals was just a related event that too halted on moral ground. The creation of chimeric and hybrid animals using these same techniques had no momentum at the time. The vast majority of these projects were purely scientific endeavors and what few militarized sentient animals that existed and were employed were in secret; the events of those very few, very clandestine operations are lost to history.

@RedNightHunter, the general rule is "if it is not a large predatory mammal" it is not a candidate for sentience. Birds of prey might be intellectual and clever indeed, but canonically even lesser beasts are not nearly as intelligent. While some prey items now have elevated intellect, they are still lacking behind the predators of the new world, and even those beasts are not as intelligent as any remaining human beings; you have many degrees of separation.

It all depends on how you utilize it and create it. If it is just an avian sort that follows her around because of its opportunistic nature, that is acceptable; an effective second character? Not so much an option. The idea is that the focus is on your character and where they fit into the evolving conflict.

While I find them interesting ideas, @Lmpkio, I find them not among the vein of the story at hand, which is meant to be more akin to a sort of telling of a post apocalyptic setting from the perspective of animals. There are not so many aberrations or monsters, and those that do exist are mostly made up of the myth that surrounds some figures; "people", or in this case animals, are the real horrors here.

From a technical standpoint in the events, most revived species were done so out of human curiosity to make it a possibility; to return extinct species. In a practical sense, mammals are among the easiest to do this with and the most worthwhile in terms of research. Most modified animals to bear near human intelligence were first created to better understand the human mind itself, as well as to push the limits of what genetic engineering could do with little repercussion. In fact, the "mad science" or "military" take on the matter was never well developed and fiercely opposed. Up until the destruction of most modern technologies, it was the greatest challenge to date for human beings, as it begged many questions most felt uncomfortable about.

In the end, while they are interesting ideas, you are in a story that is more Mad Max, The Last of Us, and The Pride of Baghdad than you are in a Fallout type setting.

• Name: Most "research facilities" were not operating at the time - much older characters like Brutus are among the last actually engineered beasts. The more modern ones are the result of unpredictable circumstance, such as Royal or even more unusually, Nomad. It is also worthy of note the genetically modified animals were not tested in battle, except in very specific events. Minor correction needed.
• Species: The same sort of issue arises as the wolf in question is extinct. Extinct animals were not mass produced and there was likely only a handful of them at any given time and far fewer into this end. You would just need change the age or subspecies. Minor correction needed.
• Age: See above. The standard is roughly 10+ years for exotic sentient animals. Minor correction needed.
• Classification and Faction: Should read as "Unaffiliated" if she has no pack. Minor correction needed.
• Alignment: This character is missing an alignment on the Good-Evil and Chaos-Law axis. Major correction needed.
• Personality: Rogue wolves are typically assimilated into a pack. I recommend that you decide upon her either being alone or creating a pack she formerly (or still does) belong to. Her pack can still be around as a minor faction or destroyed, with only the reputation carrying with her. Major correction needed.
• Background: Research facilities working with sentient beasts were highly secure and extremely well maintained. Most had armed private security compliments and extensive interlocks and barriers such as fences to prevent loss of control. When disaster struck, some of the more noble humans ultimately opened the gates and blast doors, not willing to let other intelligent creatures die in confinement. I suggest reconsidering some parts of her escape - the difference between her size at three and size at six is, in example, negligible among other details.
• Notes: I feel it bears worthy mention that while having an unintelligent companion, such as Kira, is not outright impossible, it does not generally fit the theme of A Time After Men. I recommend if you intend on having a cohort who is just an animal, to make it a pack or littermate.

@Lmpkio, you need add a Classification and Faction still on the approved sheet. "Unaffiliated" is likely the best option for you.
