The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

The nature of animals is that they are inherently suspicious of anything, especially those they do not know and even less so those they do not trust. Together, one imagines that short of their tireless need for survival, these are but a few reasons they swing so wildly from one spectrum to another in a breath; most often without outward evidence. So when it came to the story, the feral druid's mind quickly elaborated to itself how unusual it proved. The reaction of the firbolgs wasn't a point either, more that the way the two shared a very intense stare between them. There was palpable distrust and that they even so much as let them back in after that there was proof enough now of woodland hospitality.

Despite the woman's words, the tremendous felid proved not to have an obvious reaction, nothing more than the tip of its tail flick against Harriet's side and the slow blink of its eyes. Playing it off with the sort of casual coolness felines were renowned for, the man that was the cat seemed not to play his hand - or paw as it were in this case. There was no mistaking the suspicion in those wild eyes though, but a good hunter preferred the surprise.

There was still more these men weren't sharing and dead men, without help, do not often tell their tales. First, they needed to understand just what happened and who these men were now.
Based upon some very basic investigative work, I think @Burning Kitty means this, @SleepingSilence. The video has a very similar name format, was published in the past month, has few views and is making rounds throughout a few places on the internet otherwise. Contextually as well, given the roughly two minute length and the fact it is both a pathetic and an unreasonable reaction, this is my assumption.
It seems death itself was paying them a visit for no other reason than in the hopes that someone would fail to find their way across. As quickly as he had appeared and conversed, he soon drifted comfortably away on his scythe as though it were gondola; completely uninhibited by what came after in the form of the armored construct hurling itself over the ravine, still lazily drifting on. It was in Jane's favor the giant metal figure missed him and slid to a stop well past, crushing trees in the process.

"Alternatively..." The tremendous feral beast neared Junko, looking over the expanse and gap before them, "I can see you to the other side."

The mysterious animal, as one would expect of a cat, never revealed quite how it intended to do that. Outwardly the remark seemed... implausible, to put it politely. There was neither hide nor hair of evidence to suggest it could, but thus far it had proved trustworthy enough. Which was to say that unlike most big cats, his reactions were guided by a bit more than extinct and instead some greater gnosis. This still failed to resolve how it would do that.

"If you wish me to take you there, all you need do is lay a hand on me."
Journalism is not that at all as a profession. Journalism is the unbiased reporting of information that would be considered newsworthy or notable to the general audience of a reader, listener, or viewer. At its core the function of journalism should be about the information itself and not the journalist's political biases or those of the company or organization they belong to. None of those qualities highlighted in my comment are elements of a professional and are some of the exact reasons the American public absolutely loathes the mainstream media currently. It should also be noted that the shadiness of the current media makes for a trend based historic low in confidence of the media, where only one in three Americans have any confidence in it.
Having journalists continue to harass, twist words, alter the narrative and annoy people is worthy of contempt as well. Was it worthy of a beating? Based upon the reports I have read, not suitable grounds for it. The man, Gianforte that is, honestly sounds like he broke character and did what a majority of people are encouraging, which is an interesting result. I am assuming that's why he received all the support he did, by doing what a great number of people want to do at the moment.
