Krystal was sat down on her own by the campfire. She held a clipboard and was making a music sheet. She didn’t pay too much attention when Zoey and Claire arrived. She had noticed that a few people headed towards the infirmary, but with a quick glance it didn’t look like it was anything threatening, so she went back to her music sheet. A little later, she heard a scream and looked up to see Claire. It seemed she had been drinking and someone mentioned weed. Well the situation was handled for now anyway. Claire was taken away to calm down and she didn’t need to use her music. She continued to focus on her music sheet, she was almost done although her focus was shattered when she heard multiple loud screams. Krystal quickly looked up only to slowly put down the music sheet as her eyes fell on the corpse of one of the teachers and a eight feet tall grey monster. Quickly she stood up and placed the music sheet in her pocket just as Martin finished telling everyone to stick together. Crap, what could she do. She spoke up loudly, trying to get people to hear. 

“Everyone, don’t spread out, stick together. Go! I’ll distract it!”

She grabbed her Ocarina and quickly began to play as loud as she could, trying to distract the thing. As she did she jumped and danced in front of it. That was the good thing about Ocarinas. You could stay mobile was playing. She spun and Jumped and tried her best to be showy. If this worked, this would give everyone a chance to get away.

Krystal often dyes her hair different colors as she grows bored with the same old color every day. She has shoulder length hair and is quite fit, having to travel around on world tours and  to concerts constantly. Krystal has a unique style of clothing. When she is feeling leaving, she will wear a plain coloured t-shirt with some jeans though often she wears any type of gothic or tom boyish clothing that has skulls and grim reapers. She wears skull ear rings, necklaces and other type of jewelry.

    PSYCHOLOGY

MAIN GOAL  ⫻ Krystal's main goal is to spread out and perform in a live concert. 

PHILOSOPHY  ⫻ Honesty is the best Policy. Krystal hates liars, no matter what it may be for. She doesn't care if it is for the best of reasons, she can't stand people who lie.

SECRETS  ⫻ Krystal has no secrets, and besides even if she wanted to keep things secret it would be very difficult with the press constantly looking into her life. Besides, Krystal believes that there shouldn't be any secrets. She would much rather be up front and honest. 

DESIRES  ⫻ Krystal's desire is to have fun and to live her life to the fullest while sharing her love for her music wherever she goes.

SEXUALITY  ⫻ Bisexual

FEARS  ⫻ Krystal's biggest fear is the fear of the unknwon. This also relates to Death, fear of dying as nobody knows what comes after death. Kystal also fears being helpless, weak and vulnerable.

REPUTATION  ⫻ Those that know Krystal know that she is always loud, especially when she is playing music. She is extremely kind and loving to almost everyone but when she becomes angry, Krystal can be quite rude and sometimes even threatening. 

PET PEEVES  ⫻ Krystal's biggest pet peeve is lying. She hates it when people lie, no matter what the reason may be. She also hates people who constantly inturrupt her when she is trying to have a conversation or trying to say something. Another pet peeve of hers is when someone ruins the fun. She dislikes people who are too down to earth and no fun.

QUIRKS  ⫻ Krystal doesn't stick to just a single type of music. She plays music based on her mood. So she can go to punk rock to pop, to country to pop again. Another thing she tends to do, is she often keeps a megaphone in her bag or somewhere on her person. She uses it when she needs to get people's attention and nobody is listening.

   BACKSTORY      

"The past is the past. No matter how you may beg and wish it could be different, it will always be what it is."

When Krystal was just a child, she used to hum and sing to herself. She didn't care if nobody heard her. She sang and hummed because it helped her deal with her stress, her anger and it helped her forget about her petty school problems. Her parents were very supportive of her talent. When they discovered that she had a passion for singing they took her on a talent show. Krystal backed out however. She didn't care about being famous, she didn't need to sing to anyone but herself. As Krystal grew up and went through her normal school life bit by bit, things were going alright for her. She wasn't the most hated person in the school, she had a few friends, and that was the only thing that mattered. 

When Krystal was eleven, her father died of a heart attack. For a good while, Krystal became depressed. She didn't know how to handle it. Singing to herself wasn't enough, it didn't make her feel any better. She closed in, she wouldn't talk about her feelings, she wouldn't open up. Her mother tried to help but nothing worked and so Krystal was taken to a specialised doctor. Krystal went weekly but never really spoke about her feelings. She found it too hard but after speaking to Krystal and Krystal's mother, the man had an idea. He gave Krystal's mother a gutair and told her to get Krystal to learn to play.

It took a lot of time, but her mother did as she was told with the doctor's help. He told Krystal's mother that Krystal needed a way to open up. She needed a way to express her feelings and he believed that music would help her. As Krystal was learning to play gutair, her music got more and more emotional. She began to learn how to express herself using her music and it was working. Krystal played more and more, using the gutair to express herself. It was the only way she could really speak her feelings to anyone. Music was her voice when she couldn't speak. 

As Krystal grew up, her mother got her more and more intruments to try. Krystal praticed with all kinds of intruments. She wanted to get good with many different kinds so she could express herself in different ways. With the support of her mother, Krystal finally began to spread out and performed online, using youtube. She spoke about her music and how she used it to express herself and explained why her music was, at times different and random. After making her first video, she read some of the comments and to her surprise they told her that she had a true talent for music. 

Krystal got more and more instruments, she learned different styles of music and she persuded her goal. She knew what she wanted. She wanted to share her love for music with the world, she wanted to express herself through her music. Despite her success Krystal still goes to college in her free time to study music, learning about new instruments, new styles and getting better whenever she can while making music videos. Every day, she becomes a little closer to fame as time goes on.

   SKILLS & TALENTS

[Music]⫻ Krystal loves all music and she plays many different intruments. String, woodwind, brass, percussions to keyboard and harps. She has praticed with many over the years and she uses different ones based off her mood.

[Song Writing] Krystal often writes her own songs so she can play them herself. 

[Singing] Along with her other skills, Krystal also sings when she plays her music. She has had years of praticed, she has always loved singing even when she was just a child.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION  ⫻ Krystal is able to play different kinds of music for many different types of effects. She could play a very energetic and upbeat song and everyone would feel wide awake and alert. She could play a lullaby and make everyone tired, slugglish, less aware. Her music affects her and those around her, making herself and others stronger and better using the sound of her music however, Krystal can resist the effects of her own music if she needs to.

IN THE PRESENCE OF THE MOUNTAIN  ⫻ When near the mountain, Krystal's ability grows stronger. It allows her to effect others more with her music. She could potentially turn people against each other. She could potentially manipulate people slightly using certain songs.

AURA SENSING  ⫻ Krystal can see anything that can play, download or listen to music through walls. This includes mobile phones, such as iphones or android phones, tablets, mp3 players, etc. 

LIMITS  ⫻  The effects of her music wear off after a short amount of time. After people stop hearing the music she creates, the effects quickly degrade until they don't feel it anymore. This takes around five minutes for someone to stop feeling it complete. Clarity of the sound dictates how effective her abstraction can be. For example, if Krystal in playing a calming song a few feet away from somebody they'd get the full effects. If somebody else was about a few rooms over and could faintly hear it, they'd be slightly affected. While Krystal is able to use any kind of music, the music she is creating herself (Such as singing) works the best, and expends less energy while she's using it. It has a somewhat unique interaction with other Awakened - they aren't immune to the beneficial effects such as calming, or energizing, but they are resistant to the tiring, and other such negative effects.

WEAKNESSES  ⫻ While Krystal produces the effects with her abstraction, she definitely isn't immune to them. Whatever effect that she creates, she also has to undergo the same effects herself. Even if she's resistant, she's only resistant to a point. Not having access to her musical instruments can also be a disadvantage. If they were, say, destroyed, then Krystal would have to resort to singing - and that would cause some serious damage to her throat after a point.
